Coronary artery disease remains a major cause of mortality. Presence of atherosclerotic plaques in the coronary artery is responsible for lu-men stenosis which is often used as an indicator for determining the severity of coronary artery disease. However, the degree of coronary lumen stenosis is not often related to compromising myocardial blood flow, as most of the cardiac events that are caused by atherosclerotic plaques are the result of vulnerable plaques which are prone to rupture. Thus, identification of vulnerable plaques in coronary arteries has become increas-ingly important to assist identify patients with high cardiovascular risks. Molecular imaging with use of positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) has fulfilled this goal by providing functional information about plaque activity which enables accurate assessment of plaque stability. This review article provides an overview of diagnostic applications of molecular imaging tech-niques in the detection of plaques in coronary arteries with PET and SPECT. New radiopharmaceuticals used in the molecular imaging of coro-nary plaques and diagnostic applications of integrated PET/CT and PET/MRI in coronary plaques are also discussed.

Objective To observe the effectiveness of dexamethasone combined with azasetron for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV) in patients after laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC).Methods A total of 150 ASA(Ⅰ~Ⅱ) patients undergoing an elective LC were randomly divided into three groups with 50 patients in each group: Group D+A was given intravenous dexamethasone 5mg and azasetron 10mg(2ml) at the end of surgery,Group A received intravenous azasetron 10mg(2ml) at the end of surgery, and Group C received normal saline(NS) 2 ml as the control.Episodes of nausea and vomiting were recorded for 24 h following the surgery. Results The incidence of nausea was 4% in the Group D+A(2/50),which was significantly lower than in the Group A(16%,8/50) and the Group C(34%,17/50)(?~2=4.00 and 14.62;P=0.046 and 0.000).The incidence of vomiting was 2% in the Group D+A(1/50),which was significantly lower than in the Group A (14%,(7/50)) and the Group C(32%,16/50)(?~2=4.89 and 15.95;P=0.027 and 0.000).The incidences of nausea and vomiting were significantly lower in the Group A than in the Group C(?~2=4.32 and 4.57;P=0.038 and 0.033).Conclusions Use of a low dose of dexamethasone in combination with azasetron is more effective than azasetron prophylaxis alone for a successful control of PONV after LC.

Objective: To study the effect of TIP30 gene on the cell cy cle distribution in adenoid cystic carcinoma ACC-M cells. Methods: Wild type TIP30 gene was transfected into ACC-M cells by using lipofectamin e, the postive cell clone was selected with G418,the expression of TIP30 protei n in the cells was detected by Western blot. Cell cycle distribution was detecte d by flow cytometry. Results:14 days after seletion anti-G418 c ell clone was obtained. Wstern blot revealed that the TIP30 protein was expresse d in the transfected cells.Flow cytometric analysis indicated that TIP30 induced a arrest of the cells in G 0-G 1 phase and led to a decrease of cell percent age in G 2-M and S phase. Conclusion:ACC-M can stably express exogene TIP30.TIP30 can inhibit proliferation of ACC-M cells.

Objective To compare pharmacodynamics of vecuronium administered according to body surface area and body weight during general anesthesia. Methods Forty ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients, aged 18-64 yr,weighing 40-85 kg,undergoing general anesthesia, were randomly divided into 2 group ( n =20 each ).The patients received vecuronium 2× ED95 based on body weight (group W) or based on body surface area (group S).Anesthesia was induced with propofol 2 mg/kg,fentanyl 3 μg/kg and vecuronium 0.1 mg/kg ( group W) or 2.824 mg/m2 (group S).The patients was tracheal intubated and mechanically ventilated when the maximal depression of T1 was achieved.PET CO2 was maintained at 35-45 mm Hg and BIS value was maintained at 40-50.The intubation condition was evaluated using Cooper's score. The onset time, maximal depression of T1,duration of clinical action, recovery index, duration of pharmacological action and amount of vecuronium consumed were recorded. The coefficient of variation for all the indexes mentioned above was calculated. Results There was no significant difference in the coefficient of variation for intubation condition, onset time, duration of clinical action, recovery index, and duration of pharmacological action between the two groups ( P > 0.05).Compared with group W,the coefficient of variation for the maximal depression of T1 and amount of vecuronium consumed were significantly decreased in group S ( P < 0.05).Conclusion Vecuronium 2 × ED95 administered according to body surface area can reduce the individual variation in pharmacodynamics during general anesthesia.

OBJECTIVE:To study the preparation of compound levofloxacin eye drops and its quality control, then observe its clinical effect.METHODS:Levofloxacin was used as basic remedy mixed with dexamethasone sodium phosphate and phos?phate was adoped as buffer, while EDTA-2Na as stabilizer. Finally the content of levofloxacin was determined by UV-spec?trophotometric method.RESULTS:The preparations was stable and within the range of2~6?g/ml,the concentration of lev?ofloxacin had a linear relationship with absorbance(C=26.1780A—1.0838,r=0.9997).The average rate of recovery was100.34%and RSD was0.44%(n=5).CONCLUSION:This preparation has a good effect with simple preparing technique and reliable quality control.

Objective To investigate the typical value of gamma-radiation dose rate and its confidence interval in tank-transported copper ore by using bootstrap resampling techniques. Methods Bootstrap resampling method, coupled with kernel density estimation, introduced to acquire the typical value of gamma-radiation dose rate in copper ore. Results The typical value of gamma-radiation dose rate in copper ore was expressed as the central tendency of the means of resampling, and two kinds of confidence interval, empirical percentile and bias-corrected accelerated confidence interval, were provided as standard error. Conclusion It is clearly demonstrated that this method has an advantage to give a robust description in explanation of central tendency and variation range of gamma-radiation dose rate data profiles.

Fibrinogen (Fib) is one of the most common coagulation proteins, plays an important role in the coagulation cascade, and has a closed relationship with tumor.Studies indicate that the level of Fib has elevated in many kinds of cancer, and Fib is also closely correlated with the progression, metastasis and prognosis of tumor.Though the mechanism of the interaction of Fib and tumor is still unclear,Fib as a tumor marker and new therapy for these malignancies has been a new hotspot.
