Abstract?AlM: To assess the efficacy and safety of trypan blue and indocyanine green ( lCG ) for continuous curvilineal capsulorrhexis ( CCC ) in mature or hypermature phacoemulsification.?METHODS: A total of 122 eyes of 122 cases with cataracts in mature and hypermature were randomly divided into three groups, trypan blue staining group was 46 eyes of 46 cases as group A, lCG staining group was 40 eyes of 40 cases as group B, control group was 36 eyes of 36 cases as group C. Staining groups were used to 0. 2mL trypan blue or lCG injected into the anterior chamber during operation, respectively. The success rate of CCC, lens posterior capsule rupture and implanted intraocular lens pouch were observed and compared during operation. Anterior chamber inflammation was observed after operation, and compared with the control group to observe and analysis.? RESULTS: The success rate of CCC, implanted intraocular lens pouch were statistically significant difference in trypan blue staining group ( group A ) than that in control group (group C) (P<0. 05). lmplanted intraocular lens pouch was statistically significant difference in lCG group ( group B ) than that in control group ( group C ) ( P<0. 05 ) . The rate of lens posterior capsule rupture was no statistically significant difference in all three groups ( P > 0. 05 ) . Anterior chamber inflammation was no significant difference in the postoperative reaction among the three groups.?CONCLUSlON:The application of trypan blue or lCG for lens capsule staining before CCC in lack of red reflective mature and hypermature cataracts is safe and effective, both results are comparable. lt guarantees a complete CCC and improves the success rate of phacoemulsification.

Objective To explore the effect of intrauterin hypoxia on proliferation of neural stem cells(NSCs)in dentate gyrus of juve-nile rats and the interventive effects on NSCs.Methods Thirty-nine adult female SD rats bred at laboratory. At 14 days of pregnancy, conceiving female SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:control group(n=12),hypoxia group(n=12)and angelica group(n=15);the conceiving rats were put into 3 gases incubator(130 mL/L O2,temperature 25 ℃,relative humidity 70%-75%,CO2 0.3-0.4 mL/L),hypoxia times(2 h/d),hypoxia days(pregnant the 14th d,15th d,16th d)to make intrauterin hypoxia model. In hypoxia group,1 hour before hypoxia, the rats were injected saline from caudal vein, saline for 7 days;In angelica group, the rats were injected angelica injection, angelica for 7 days, other steps were same.In control group, the rats were injected saline, saline for 7 days,no hypoxia.Producing naturally, after born 40 days, took juvenile rats' brains from every group randomly:control group(n=12),hypoxia group(n=12)and angelica group(n=15),then immobilization, paraffin imbedding, slicing, common immunohistochemistry staining were used to detect the Nestin positive substances.Nestin positive substances expression were observed under the microscope(?200).Statistical analysis was used. Results The average of positive staining area(Area)of Nestin of hypoxic group were larger than that of control group,it had significance(P0.05),the average of density and IOD of 3 groups had no significances. Conclusion Hypoxia environment(130 mL/L)can promote NSCs of juvenile rats to proliferate, angelica injection can reduce the NSCs to proliferate after intrauterin hypoxia.

Objective To determine the correlation between mouse maerophage metalloelastase (MME)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)expression involved in angiogenesis of colon cancer. Methods A eDNA fragment coding for domainsⅠandⅡof MME was transfected into murine CT-26 colon cancer cells that were MME deficient. The enzymatic activity of recombinant MME was confirmed by cleavage of native substrate in vitro. An orthotopic implantation model was established by using MME-transfected cells and control cells.Tumor samples were subjected to in situ hybridization (ISH)and immunohistochemical staining(IHC)to detect expressions of MME and VEGF.The microvessel counting was used to assess angiogenesis of murine colon tumors. Results It was demon- strated that the tumor growth was significantly inhibited in MME-transfected group compared with pcDNA3.1 transfected and nontransfected groups(P<0.001).It was also found that, compared with pcDNA3.1-transfected and nontransfected groups, the microvessel formation in MME transfected group was significantly reduced(P<0.001).The expression of VEGF mRNA and protein was significantly lower in MME-transfected group than those in the controls,as demonstrated by ISH(MME-transfected group versus pcDNAa.1-transfected group,P=0.028;and versus nontransfected group,P=0.003) and by IHC(MME-transfected group versus pcDNA3.1-transfected group,P=0.025;and versus non- transfected group,P=0.008).Conclusions The MME gene transfected into murine colon cancer cells can effectively suppress the growth of orthotopic tumors by inhibition of vaseularity. Both MME and VEGF gene expression is highly associated with the vascularity of tumors, which may depend on a hal- ance between MME and VEGF expression.

OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical efficacy of Xin'anning Nasal Drop (XAND) in treating coronary heart disease with unstable angina pectoris (CHD-UAP).
METHODSSixty patients with CHD-UAP were assigned, according to the randomizing number table, to two groups, the control group treated with conventional Western medicine, and the treated group treated with conventional Western medicine plus XAND. The clinical efficacy and the changes of S-T segment in resting EKG and total ischemia burden (TIB) in 24-h dynamic EKG were observed.
RESULTSThe clinical efficacy, including the effect of angina alleviation, its initiation, and the effect of TCM syndrome score reduction, were significantly superior in the treated group to those in the control group ( P<0.05 or P<0.01). The degree and extent of myocardial ischemia were significantly improved in both groups ( P<0.01), but the improvement in the treated group was better than that in the control group ( P<0.05). Moreover, it was worth mentioning that the immediate effect in the treated group was better than that in the control group, and the reduction of TIB, the improvement in heart rate and myocardial oxygen consumption (immediately after the first administration or by the end of the therapeutic course), and systolic blood pressure after treatment in the former were all superior to those in the latter, showing significant difference (P<0.05 or P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONXAND has a quick effect in alleviating angina in patients with CHD-UAP, and it is worthy of further studies and spreading in clinical practice. unstable angina pectoris, Xin'anning Nasal Drop, clinical study
