ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of nursing intervention on medication compliance of patients with climacteric dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Methods84 patients with climacteric dysfunctional uterine bleeding in our hospital from April 2009 to April 2011 were treated, they were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group with 42 cases in each group. The control group was given routine care during the course of medication, the observation group was given pertinent nursing intervention based on the routine nursing. The medication compliance and treatment effect were retrospectively analyzed. ResultsAmong 42 cases in the observation group,40 cases (95.2%) followed the doctor's advice,41 cases (97.6%) visited on time,3 cases (7.1%) failed the treatment. In the control group,30 cases (71.4%) followed the doctor's advice,25 cases(59.5%) visited on time,14 cases(33.3%) failed the treatment. The observation group was better than the control group. ConclusionsHormone treatment for patients with climacteric dysfunctional uterine bleeding can obtain desired therapeutic effect, but method of medication was more complicated.Nursing intervention during medication course can significantly improve medication compliance and treatment effect, which is of great clinical significance.

Objective:To investigate whether hydroxytyrosol (HT) may ameliorate oxidative stress and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-?B) activation in the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated THP-1 cell line. Methods:The intracellular formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) was detected by 2,7-dichlorofluorescein diacetate (DCFH-DA) as a fluorescent probe.Intracellular glutathione (GSH) level was estimated by fluorometric methods;Nitric oxide (NO) production was measured as nitrite (a stable metabolite of NO) concentrations.Western blot analysis was used to detect the expressin level of NF-?B.Results:The results showed that treatment of THP-1 cells with HT significantly reduced LPS-stimulated NO production and ROS formation in a concentration-dependent manner.HT at 50 and 100 ?mol/L concentrations increased the GSH level. The specific DNA-binding activities of NF-?B in nuclear extracts from 50 and 100 ?mol/L HT treatments were significantly suppressed. The antioxidant N-acetylcysteine (NAC) also showed the same effects as HT on LPS-induced ROS and NO production, change of GSH level, and NF-?B activation. Conclusion:These findings suggest that HT has antioxidant activity by suppressing intracellular oxidative stress and NF-?B activation in THP-1 cells.

Objective To compare the accuracy of diagnostic peritoneal lavage (DPL),abdominal computed tomographic(CT) scanning, and abdominal B ultrasound for the diagnosis of blunt abdominal trauma. Methods Prospective study was made on 61 hemodynamically stable abdominal injury patients. The patients received both CT and B ultrasound before DPL ,A laparotomy was done on the condition that one of the three examinations had positive finding. The surgical findings were compared with that of the diagnostic studies. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 97.4%,81.7% and 91.8% for DPL; 97.3% 91.3% ,and 95.1% for CT;and 92.3%,90.9% and 91.8% for B ultrasound.Although the sesitivity, specificity, and accuracy of B ultrasound in the diagnosis of blunt abdominal trauma were similar to DPL and CT, B ultrasound had more advantages than DPL and CT. Conclusions B ultrasound can replace DPL.CT as a supplementary method in the diagnosis of blunt abdominal trauma.

BACKGROUND:intervertebral disc degeneration can reduce nucleus pulposus cells, and peroxiredoxin II involved in the regulation of resist oxidation damage, cell division, differentiation, signal transduction and apoptosis.Peroxiredoxin Ⅱ has promotive effect on intervertebral disc degeneration, whereas the mechanism remains poorly understood.OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of perexiredoxin Ⅱ on human intevertebral disc cells activity and type Ⅱ collagen synthesis in vitro.METHODS:Human degenerated human lumbar disc cells were cultured in vitro, and assigned into the control and peroxidase Ⅱ groups.Peroxidase Ⅱ with doses of 10,100 and 1 000 ng/L were added into the peroxidase Ⅱ groups. The cells were identified by immunohistochemical staining, and the cell proliferation was detected using cck-8 kit.Cell supematant was collected at days 3 and 7 after operation, and the expression of type Ⅱ collagen was measured by double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In vitro cultured human degenerative lumbar intervertebral disc nucleus pulposus cells by adding peroxidase increased with the dose-Ⅱ,the disc nucleus pulposus cells of the volume and type Ⅱ collagen synthesis gradually reduced(P < 0.01).Tips peroxidase Ⅱ on the intervertebral disc nucleus pulposus cells, the number and type Ⅱ collagen synthesis significantly inhibited in a dose-dependent manner. Thus speculated that peroxidase Ⅱ on the nucleus pulposus cells in vitro may lead to disc degeneration as a precipitating factor.

Praseodymium hexacyanoferrate film was modified on the graphite electrode by cyclic voltammetry in the solution of PrCl_3 and K_3Fe(CN)_6. Its electrochemical properties, including the influence of different scan rates, ions, and K~+ concentrations on the film, were studied. The membrane was characterized by IR and XPS. In IR spectrum, the vibration of cyano group verified from the formation of the film on the electrode. In XPS spectrum, the splitting of Fe2p_(1/2) )and Fe2p_(3/2)) showed that the valence of iron has been changed in the film formation, and a proper electropolymerization mechanism was put forward. The results showed the PrHCF film have some electrocatalytic activity to the oxidation of cysteine. The detection conditions for cysteine such as the potential and pH were also discussed.

Objective To investigate the changes of enteric nervous system in gastrointestinal motility disorder in rats with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) as well as the influence of Chaishao Chengqi Decoction on neuronal nitric oxide synthase neuron (nNOS) neuron expression in myenteric plexus of rat intestinal tract. Methods SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (10 for each): sham operation group, model group and Chaishao Chengqi Decoction (CSCQD) group. SAP model was established in taurocholate into the junction of the common bile duct and pancreatic duct. Model group was administered with normal saline and CSCQD group was administered with Chaishao Chengqi Decoction. The gastrointestinal transmission time was observed. Pathological changes of the pancreas were examined with HE staining under light microscope. The neuronal nitric oxide synthase neurons in the small intestines and colonic myenteric plexus were detected by the dual immunofluorescent staining. Results Compared with that in model group, transmission index was increased in CSCQD group (P<0.05). The pathological lesion of the pancreas in CSCQD group was significantly lessened (P<0.05). The percentage of NOS-immunoreactive neurons was significantly decreased (P<0.05). Conclusion By reversing the plasticity of NOS-immunoreactive neurons, Chaishao Chengqi Decoction improves the gastrointestinal motility in rats with SAP and reduces the pathological damages of the pancreas.
