Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2001;(2):137-138
Objective To investigate the causes of recurrent spontaneous abortion(RSA) and to know the relation between RSA and antiphospholipid thrombosis syndrome(APL-T). Methods ELISA and PTT-LA were used to detect anticardiolipin antibody(ACA) and lupus anticoagulant(LA) in 32 patients with RSA and 20 normal controls(NC). Results There were 17 positive of antiphospholipid antibody(APA) in RSA group. The incidence was significantly higher than that in NC group. The incidence of LA was also significantly higher than that in NC group. 8 patients were diagnosed as APL-T. Conclusion LA may be the more important reason of RSA. It should be considered as APL-T when RSA is unexplained.

OBJECTIVE: Adopting methods of cell culture to explore the effects and mechanisms of Jianpi Bushen Huoxue Prescription (JPBSHXP), a traditional Chinese compound herbal medicine for strengthening spleen, reinforcing kidney and activating blood circulation, in inhibiting hematopoietic cells apoptosis in a mouse model of aplastic anemia (AA). METHODS: Blood serum of AA mice was made from an AA mouse model. Blood serums containing different traditional Chinese compound herbal medicine were made from rats after intragastric administration of JPBSHXP and its related decoctions, respectively. Bone marrow cells of normal mice were incubated by these blood serums for 24 hours, respectively. The apoptosis of the bone marrow cells were assayed by flow cytometry and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). RESULTS: It was indicated that the bone marrow cells of normal mice incubated with blood serum of AA mice displayed typical apoptosis. The apoptosis rates of bone marrow cells of the AA mice incubated by blood serum containing different traditional Chinese herbal medicine were decreased. The effect of Bushen (reinforcing kidey) Recipe was better than Jianpi (strengthening spleen) Recipe and Huoxue (activating blood circulation) Recipe, while the effect of JPBSHXP was the best. TEM results showed that the effect of Bushen Recipe was better than that of the Jianpi Recipe and the Huoxue Recipe, while the effect of JPBSHXP was the best. CONCLUSION: JPBSHXP and its related decoctions can significantly decrease the apoptosis rate of bone marrow mononuclear cells of the AA mice. It is inferred that JPBSHXP can promote bone marrow hematogenesis.

Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic nonspecific inflammatory disease.CD can affect any location in the digestive tract, and it also affect other organs, including the eyes, skin, liver and joints, which are termed extraintestinal manifestations (EIMs).The cutaneous manifestations of CD are common and occur in about one-third of patients.EIMs of CD have been divided into 3 categories.(1) Specific lesion, cutaneous manifestations of CD were the same as histopathologic findings of underlying gastrointestinal lesion.(2) Reactive lesion,it was also inflammatory lesion which was usually accompanied by underlying gastrointestinal disease while inflammatory injury was different from histopathologic findings of gastrointestinal lesion.(3) Associated lesion,it was caused by sequelae of human leucocyte antigen and chronic inflammation. In the current era of ever-expanding therapeutic options for CD,some investigators have proposed a fourth category of EIMs,namely those that are therapy-related lesion. The therapy-related lesion is closely related to disease-associated conditions in light of certain skin findings, and there is potential overlap between them.
