Digital Chinese Medicine 2024;7(4):405-418
Methods:
Papers on the research of HUA prevention and treatment with medicine-food homology from December 15, 2002 to August 10, 2024 were screened and collected through China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. Subsequently, the impact of these medications and their extracts, as well as the active compounds on HUA were assessed.
Results:
A total of 148 relevant papers were collected, including 43 kinds of Chinese medicines and 61 active compounds, all of which have anti-HUA activity. Among them, 41 kinds of Chinese medicines could inhibit the activity of xanthine oxidase, thus leading to the inhibition of uric acid production; and 22 kinds of Chinese medicines could facilitate uric acid excretion, while 15 kinds of Chinese medicines could reduce the inflammation levels in the body and promoting renal protection. Notably, polyphenols and flavonoids are the key active components for the uric acid-lowering effects.
Conclusion
This study systematically summarized and analyzed the uric acid-lowering effects and mechanisms of Chinese medicines with medicine-food homology, laying a foundation for their development as HUA agents.

China Pharmacist 2017;20(11):1903-1906
Objective:To study the alkaloids in Macleaya cordata. Methods:The compounds were isolated and purified by silica gel, recrystallization, and semi-preparative HPLC, and their strcuctures were confirmed by MS and NMR. Results: Nine alkaloids were obtained and identified as dihydrochelerythrine(1), 6-cyanodihydrosanguinarine(2), R-6-((R)-1-hydroxyethyl)dihydrochel-erythrine(3),8-demethyl-dihydrochelerythrine(4),cheilanthifoline(5),canadine(6),8-demethyl-chelerythrine(7),protopine(8) and allocryptopine(9). Conclusion:Compounds 4-6 are isolated from the genus of Macleaya for the first time.

【Objective】 To provide a new idea for the treatment of depression by summarizing the antidepressant effect and mechanism of active ingredients in functional food, and medicine and food homologous products. 【Methods】 The literature related to the antidepressant of functional food or medicine and food homologous products from September 25, 1996 to September 5, 2022 was collected through PubMed, Google Academic, Web of Science, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) databases. After that, their antidepressant active ingredients and mechanism of action were systematically summarized and analyzed. 【Results】 A total of 146 pieces of literature were involved in the study, including 67 plant-derived functional foods or medicine and food homologous products, 32 antidepressant extracts (including 8 flavonoid extracts), and 87 antidepressant active ingredients. The 87 antidepressant active ingredients include 7 terpenes, 22 saponins, 15 flavonoids, 11 phenylpropanoids, 7 phenols, 6 sugars, 8 alkaloids, and 11 others. 【Conclusion】 The study summarized and analyzed the active ingredients and mechanisms of antidepressants in functional foods and medicine and food homologous products, which provides a new vision for the development of new antidepressants and a potential alternative treatment for patients with depression.
