OBJECTIVE:To explore the characteristics and regularities of the adverse drug reactions(ADRs)induced by irino-tecan,in order to provide reference for clinical application. METHODS:In retrospective study,56 cases of irinotecan-induced ADR collected from our hospital during Jun. 2011-Jan.2015 were analyzed statistically in respects of gender, age, disease types, ECOG score,medication,organs/systems involved in ADR,clinical manifestations, outcome, etc. RESULTS:All 56 patients suf-fered from ADR,among which the percentage of hematopoietic system accounted for the highest(100%),and followed by diges-tive system;the grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ ADRs accounted for 87.20%,the grade Ⅲ-Ⅳ ADRs accounted for 12.80%. 64.50% of ADRs oc-curred within 1 week. In respect of conversion,85.71%(48/56)of the patients recovered with supportive care and continued che-motherapy,the remaining 8 cases had to reduce the dose of chemotherapy and then recovered. CONCLUSIONS:With regular dose, irinotecan is well tolerated. Since ADRs induced by irinotecan are slight, all the ADRs are well managed. It is important to enhance follow-up observations of patients to prevent some serious ADRs.

Chinese Medical Journal 2002;115(2):202-205
OBJECTIVETo investigate the direct effects of the Flt3 ligand (FL) on hematopoiesis, such as the stimulation of the formation of hematopoietic colonies and the proliferation of dendritic cells, as well as the indirect stimulation of hematopoiesis, especially via the proliferation of endothelial cells.
METHODSMononuclear cells from human cord blood were plated in methylcellulose medium containing different cytokines to induce hematopoietic colony formation. Dendritic cells (DCs) were induced from the mononuclear cells with a cytokine cocktail with or without recombinant human soluble FL (rhFL; 100 ng/ml). The Flt3 receptors on the surface of a human microvascular endothelial cell line (ECV) were analyzed by flow cytometry. The proliferation of ECV stimulated by rhFL was measured with the microculture tetrazolium assay. The levels of FL, IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF and GM-CSF in the supernatant of ECV cultures were measured by enzyme linked immunoabsorbent assay (ELISA).
RESULTSrhFL stimulates colony formation from cord blood when used as a sole stimulant. FL in combination with other cytokines increased colony formation significantly. The number of DCs was approximately 2.5 times higher when rhFL was used. rhFL stimulates the proliferation of ECV on which Flt3 receptors are expressed. Furthermore, ECV secretes FL, IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF and GM-CSF, which were augmented by tumor necrosis factor-alpha and rhFL.
CONCLUSIONSrhFL enhances hematopoietic colony formation and DC proliferation from human cord blood cells. FL not only stimulates the proliferation of ECV, but is also secreted by ECV. FL may exert direct and indirect effects on hematopoiesis.

Indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging technology has been applied in laparoscopic surgery. It is possible to highly visualize the tumor cutting edge and liver segment boundary during laparoscopic hepatectomy. Although the application of this technique in liver tumor surgery has become more and more mature, the factors affecting the quality of fluorescence imaging are still not completely clear. In this paper, we analyzed and summarized the effects of different factors such as ICG administration scheme, imaging acquisition, tumor characteristics of patients and preoperative liver function indexes on the quality of intraoperative ICG imaging, in order to provide new ideas and practical experience for clinical practice and research.

Objective:To investigate clinical features of intermittent flushing in patients with rosacea, and to evaluate its impact on the quality of life of patients. Methods:A prospective study was conducted, a total of 728 patients with rosacea were enrolled from Department of Dermatology, Xiangya Hospital from August 2017 to August 2019. Data were collected by using flushing symptom questionnaire (FSQ) , clinician erythema assessment scale (CEA) , patient′s self-assessment (PSA) and visual analogue scale (VAS) . Clinical features and severity of intermittent flushing episodes, degree of bother and impact on life, and correlation of flushing scores with persistent erythema scores were analyzed. Statistical analysis was carried out by using chi-square test and Spearman correlation analysis. Results:Among the 728 patients with rosacea, intermittent flushing most frequently occurred on the cheek (682 cases, 93.7%) and zygomatic region (617 cases, 84.8%) ; the proportion of patients with a flushing duration of 5 minutes to 2 hours was the highest (484 cases, 66.5%) ; 317 (43.6%) had flushing episodes after stimulation, and 233 (32.0%) had multiple flushing episodes every day. Moreover, 503 patients (69.1%) had an overall flushing score above the moderate level; 412 (56.6%) considered that flushing could affect sleep to varying degrees, of which 59 (8.1%) considered that the impact was severe or very severe; 662 (90.9%) considered that flushing had impact on life to different degrees, of which 304 (41.8%) thought that the impact was severe. Both the overall flushing score and life bother score were positively but lowly correlated with the CEA scores ( rs = 0.166, 0.151 respectively, both P < 0.05) , and were positively correlated with the PSA scores ( rs = 0.518, 0.500 respectively, both P < 0.05) . Conclusion:Intermittent flushing occurs at typical sites of patients with rosacea, with long duration of episodes and high frequency, and affects quality of life of patients, so attention needs to be paid by clinicians.
