1.Effect of Liuwei Dihuang Pills Prepared by different Kinds of Techniques on Hemolysin Content in Mice
Traditional Chinese Drug Research & Clinical Pharmacology 2000;0(05):-
Objective To compare the pharmacodynamic actions of Liuwei Dihuang Pills(LDP)prepared by four kinds of techniques on hemolysin contents in mice. Methods Sensitized by SRBC,immuno-inhibited mice models were induced by dexamethasone and cyclophosphane respectively. The hemolysin contents in the mice fed with LDP prepared by four kinds of techniques were observed to compare the pharmacodynamic actions. Results In experiment 1 that immuno-inhibited mice models were induced by cyclophosphane, the half hemolysin concentration(HC50)was low in the model group and LDP groups, especially in the LDP groups of techniqueⅡ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ.In experiment 2 that immuno-inhibited mice models were induced by dexamethasone, the difference of HC50 was insignificant between the blank control group,LDP groups of techniqueⅠand concentrated LDP group, the difference also being not significant in LDP groups of techniqueⅠat different dosages. Conclusion The dose of LDP can be reduced according to the experiment, however, the process technique of LDP needs to be improved. For this prescription is indicated for the treatment of yin-deficiency syndrome, dexamethasone can be used as the proposed drug for the establishment of the immuno-inhibited models. To confirm the reasonability of formula revolution, more parameters should be added to observe the pharmacodynamic actions.

Objective To optimize the formula ratio of matrix and the preparation process of Xuanshe Painkillers Cataplasm. Methods The optimal matrix prescription of Xuanshe Painkillers Cataplasm was optimized by uniform design, and the optimal preparation process was determined at the same time. The viscosity and the appearance of the Xuanshe Painkillers Cataplasm (film residue, uniformity, ductility, skin adhesive ability of the plaster)are used as indexes. Results The preparation process of Xuanshe Painkillers Cataplasm is good, and through the analysis of experimental data, the optimal ratio of the matrix is NP-700∶aluminum hydroxide ∶glycerol ∶0.1% tartrate solution=3∶0.3∶25∶5. Conclusion The Preparation process is good and the optimal matrix has moderate viscosity,no film residue, and with better uniformity, ductility and skin adhesive ability.

Objective:To determine the in vitro release of two kinds of Changankang Pellets (Radix Astragall, Rhizama coptid) coated with Surelease and Eudragit respectively and verify their colon-targeted release in vivo through X-ray photography. Methods: Changankang Pellets were made by mixing the medical BaSO 4 powder and appropriate drugs together according to original produce and coat methods. After determining their in vitro release, they were tested in vivo by 2 volunteers. X-ray films were taken after appropriate time and analyzed to determine the location and status of these pellets inside healthy objects. Results: Pellets made by this way can carry drugs through stomach, intestine and targeted-release them in colon; the coating combined with pH-dependent and time-dependent Eudragit thin layer has better results. Conclusion: X-ray radiography applying BaSO 4 powder could be taken as a quality control method for colon-targeted release drugs. The preliminary results showed that Changankang Pellets met the requirements of colon-targeted release.

Objective To explore the change of sexual life quality and its influencing factors of premenopausal breast cancer patients. Methods 94 premenopausal breast cancer patients were included. Changes in Sexual Functioning Questionnaire short-form (CSFQ-14) was used and part of its items was changed. Their sexual life was evaluated before and after treatment by using depth interview and anonymous methods. Results 94 cases received face-to-face communication and study. 88 (93.6%) questionnaires were received, in which 81 (92.1%) questionnaires were effective. Their sexual life quality and sexual satisfaction significantly decreased and there was significant difference in the CSFQ-14 score (P<0.001) before and after treatment. The ratio of bad, worse, and worst sexual life were 39.5%, 29.6%, and 14.8% respectively after treatment. 65.4% of the patients had no sexual activity. The reasons included medical related factors, fear of cancer metastasis and recurrence, physical discomfort, poorer body image, partner sexual attitudes changed, life stress, common psychological problems,
traditional ideas and so on. Conclusion Sexual dysfunction was obvious and sexual life quality significantly decreased in premenopausal breast cancer patients after treatment. Patients' physical and mental damage, the change of body image and spouse's attitude are significant influencing factors. It is necessary to give sexual rehabilitation guidance to patients and their spouses.
