In order to study the cardioprotective effects of diazoxide on the myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury of rats and mechanisms, the healthy SD rats were randomly divided into 2 groups: the rats in the experimental group were injected with diazoxide for preconditioning with the dosage of 12.5 mg/kg through the right femoral vein and those in the control group was only administered with the equal volume of media. After 10 min, a left thoracotomy was performed and the left anterior descending branch was occluded for 2 h. Two h later, the left anterior descending branch was reperfused for 2 h and then the heart was quickly excised to be used for measurement of MDA, SOD and the infarct size, in situ cell apoptosis detection and observation of the cell ultrastructure by electron microscopy. The results showed that as compared with the control group. MDA, the infarct size and cell apoptosis in the experimental group were greatly reduced (P<0.05). And the cell ultrastructure was obviously improved. But the activity of SOD had no change (P>0.05). It was concluded that diazoxide could protect the rats from myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury, which might be contributed to the reduction of lipid peroxidation and cell apoptosis.

AimPurpose-The aim of this study is utilizing the highthrough genechip data to Compare the difference of the pharmacological pathways among the Qingkailing effective components Baicalin(BA),Jasminoidin(JA),cholic acid(CA) and Concha margaritiferausta(CM)in the treatment process of cerebral ischemia. Methods The focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model mice were randomly divided into groups of Baicalin(BA),Jasminoidin(JA),cholic acid(CA),Concha margaritiferausta(CM)and model group(M),15 mice for each group,24 hours later total RNA were abstracted from the hippocampus,we selected 374 gene expression profile related to cerebral ischemia, made cDNA chip marked by Cy3/Cy5,detect the variation of different components,Then apply Arraytrack software to select differentiate expressed genes between BA and M,JA and M,CA and M,CM and M by T-tests,select genes with P<0.05,Fold change>1.5,according GeneGO software to find the top two pathways of each components. Results the number of differentiate expressed genes between BA,JA,CA,CM and M is separately 46,50,54 and 30,according to the top two pathways of GeneGo display JA,CA,CM all participate Apoptosis and survival_TNFR1 signaling pathway, besides BA participate in regulating G-protein signaling and Development_A2A receptor signaling while CA in Neurophysiological process_NMDA-dependent postsynaptic long-term potentiation in CA1 hippocampal. Conclusion Qingkailing effective components take diversity Pharmacological characteristics,BA mainly for anti-apoptosis,JA mainly for inhibit apoptosis and promote ischemic brain protection, etc,CA focused on inhibiting calcium influx, and anti-neuron variability. But CM has no good results on this.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of different administration of dexamethasone in the treatment of se-cretory otitis media. METHODS:Data of 92 patients with secretory otitis media was retrospectively collected and divided into ob-servation group(43 cases)and control group(49 cases)by different administration. Observation group received 5 mg Dexametha-sone injection by injection in the eustachian tube in the assisted by video laryngoscope, once every 2 day. Control group received 5 mg Dexamethasone injection by injection in the eustachian tube, once every 2 day. 7-day was regarded as 1 treatment course. 1 more course for uncured patients, and no more than 4 courses. Clinical efficacy, and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),IL-10 levels before and after treatment, and 1-year cumulative recurrence rate after cured and the incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:The total effective rate in observation group was signifi-cantly higher than control group,1-year cumulative recurrence rate after cured was significantly lower than control group, the dif-ferences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there were no significant differences in TNF-α,CRP,IL-6 and IL-10 levels between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment,TNF-α and IL-6 level in 2 groups were significantly lower than before, and observation group was lower than control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there were no signifi-cant differences in CRP and IL-10 between 2 groups before and after treatment(P>0.05). And there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between 2 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:The efficacy of dexamethasone by injection in the eustachian tube in the assisted by electron-nasopharyngolaryngoscopy is superior to auripuncture administration,it can reduce re-currence rate, with good safety.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2017;30(9):943-947
Objective The change of thyroid hormones affects male sexual function, but the underlying physiological mechanism is not yet clear. The aim of this study was to explore the association of thyroid hormones with abnormal penile neuro-electrophysiology in patients with premature ejaculation (PE).Methods This retrospective study included 52 acquired PE (APE) patients aged 35.36 ± 8.39 years and 24 healthy males aged 32.87±7.45 years. We measured the levels of thyroid hormones in all the subjects and, based on the latency time of penile sympathetic skin responses (PSSR), classified the APE patients into a normal (n=31) and an abnormal PSSR type (n=31).Results The concentration of total tetraiodothyronine (TT4) in the serum was significantly higher in the APE patients than in the normal control ([102.81±18.37] vs [92.68±11.56] nmol/L, P=0.018).The levels of serum TT4 and free tetraiodothyronine (FT4) were both markedly increased in the APE patients of the abnormal PSSR type as compared with those of the normal PSSR type ([113.28±20.89] vs [95.72±12.42] nmol/L, P<0.001 and [12.02±0.88] vs [10.81±1.63] nmol/L, P=0.003).The FT4 concentration was correlated negatively with the latency time of PSSR (r=-0.363, P=0.008) and positively with the Premature Ejaculation Diagnostic Tool (PEDT) scores (r=0.455, P=0.001).Conclusion Abnormal PSSR may be associated with elevated levels of thyroid hormones in APE patients, and regulation of thyroid hormone levels may help improve the symptoms of PE with abnormal PSSR.
