[Objective]Study the principle of Kunshen(KS) Granule in treating progressive gastric carcinoma.[Methods]Oral administration of MNNG to Wister rats resulted in a high incidence of gastric carcinoma.The rats were separated into six groups at random,negative control group,model group,positive control group,Kunshen large dose group,medium dose group and small dose group.Observe the influence of KS Granule in inhibiting the angiogenesis factors bFGF protein level expression of carcinomatous rats organizations experimentally induced,and analyse gray value.[ Result]The angiogenesis factors bFGF of carcinomatous rats experimentally induced were highly expressed.KS Granule can notably decline the expression of protein level.[Conclusion]Kunshen granule can notably inhibit the expression of angiogenesis factors bFGF of carcinomatous rats experimentally induced.

Objective To investigate the effects of self-designed Chinese medicine decoction on the expression of c-myc, caspase-3 in the rats with precancerous lesion of chronic atrophic gastritis. Methods The 120 Wistar rats were randomly divided into the normal group, the model group, the Weifuchun group and the high-, medium-and low-dose decoction groups, with 20 rats each group. Except the normal group, the rats in the other groups were prepared for chronic atrophic gastritis precancerous lesion model. After establishing the models successfully, the rats of the high-, medium-and low-dose groups were given decoction via intragastric administration which contained crude drug 2.088, 1.044, 0.522 g/ml respectively, and the Weifuchun group was given drug liquid of Weifuchun with the concentration of 0.076 g/ml. The normal group and the model group were given the equal volume of normal saline. Medicines were given once a day for 12 weeks. Then the expression of c-myc and caspase-3 in the gastric mucosa of rats were detected by using immunohistochemical staining. Results Compared to the model group, the expression of c-myc in the high-, medium-dose decoction groups and the Weifuchun group (30.25%± 3.56 %, 45.37% ± 4.81%, 38.79%± 4.02% vs. 63.45% ± 7.08%) significantly decreased (P<0.01 or P<0.05);and the expression of caspase-3 (36.85%± 5.02%, 31.24%± 4.55%, 31.57%± 4.62%vs. 23.43%± 2.95%) significantly increased (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusions Self-designed Chinese medicine decoction could inhibit the expression of c-myc, and activate caspase-3 expression,which may be one of the mechanisms of treating the disease.

[ Objective] To observe the therapeutic effect of fetus - soothing and liver - clearing therapy for pregnancy associated with chronic hepatitis B. [Methods] Fifty cases of pregnancy associated with chronic hepatitis B were treated with fetus - soothing and liver - clearing Decoction, which is mainly composed of Semen Cuscutae, Radix Astragali, Radix Scutellariae, Herba Phyllanthus and Herba Taraxaci. After treatment, general state of gravida, indexes of hepatic function, hepatitis B virus (HBV) marker and hepatic fibrosis were detected. [Results] No miscarriage was found in the cases. Objective To observe the clinical effects and safety of radiofrequency thermocoagulation in treating the lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion.Methods Thirty patients with lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion,whose diagnoses were confirmed by clinical manifestations and CT findings,were involved in this study.The needle was punctured to the target point of the diseased intervertebral space under C-arm fluoroscopic guidance.After the testing of sensory nerve,motor nerve and temperature was made,the target needles were heated until the nerve radiofrequency temperature meter reached the point of 92℃.This point of temperature was held for 100 seconds and the procedure was repeated for four cycles.Results Six months after the treatment,all patients showed an obvious improvement in VAS,which decreased from 7.83±0.33before operation to 2.37±0.48 after treatment(P＜0.05).According to the modified Macnab therapeutic evaluation criteria,excellent result was seen in 9,good result in 12,fair result in 5 and poor result in 4cases,with a total effective rate of 86.7%.No serious complications occurred in all patients.Conclusion Radiofrequency thermocoagulation is an effective and safe method for the treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value and efficacy of transcatheter preoperative superselective arterial embolization in sacral or ilium tumors.Methods The procedures of superselective arterial embolization with gelfoam were performed in 15 cases. The lesions included giant cell tumor of bone (n = 5) , aneurysmal bone cyst (n = 2) ,chordoma (n = 2) , metastatic tumor (n = 4)and chondrosarcoma (n = 3) . The operations of resection were done 1 to 5 days after superselective arterial embolization.Results Angiograms showed marked reduction (80% or more) of the tumor's staining after embolization. In this series ,the average blood loss was 1100 ml ,during operations(aranged from 500 ml to 2600 ml),and all tumors were completely resected.Conclusion Preoperative transcatheter selective arterial embolization is an effective and safe method in reducing blood loss during operations and improving therapeutic effect for sacroiliac tumors.
