1.Progress of artificial ureter
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2006;0(01):-
Artificial ureter has been studied for nearly 60 years, however it is still in experimental stage. So far there are no commercially available products for clinical use except autologous intestines loop even though many progresses have been made. Each approach for making artificial ureter has its own inherent advantages, disadvantages and limitations. But some approaches have shown great potential to be used as ureteral substitutes. Preventing the conduit from salt depositing and ensuring a watertight anastomoses with native tissues are the key factors in designing and manufacturing the prosthetic ureter. Along with scientific and technical improvement, artificial ureter will be successfully used in clinical therapeuticsin in the very near future.

Objective To study the effect of hemisection in the treatment of the molars. Methods 136 molars were selected and hemisection technique were used. If the pathological change was concentrated to the root, such as periodontics, apical inflammation, root fractures, the pathological root was extracted. If the pathologicalchange was concentrated to the divergence of the roots or the bottom of pulp chamber, hemisection was performed. then all the tooth was restoredwith fixed restoration according to the solid conditions. Results These were followed up and evaluated in three years 94. 85% of the all molars were treated satisfactory. Conclusions The hemisection techniqueoperation is simple, but the indications are extensive, and its effect in the treatment of the molars is regarded as a positive method

The patient was treated as pharyngeal foreign body sensation for six months. Laryngeal endoscopy: one about 1 cm x 2 cm x 2 cm, hard, smooth bulge in hypopharyngeal wall at the plane of epiglottis valley. The cervical MRI showed that the C3-C4 disc herniation and degeneration of the C3-C4 vertebrae. Cervical CT showed the C3-C4 disc osteophyte formation and forward bulge. After orthopedic consultation, the patient was diagnosed as esophageal cervical spondylosis. C3-C4 diskectomy and vertebral interbody bone grafted with plate fixation were undertaken. At postoperational day 2, the pharyngeal foreign body sensation disappeared.

Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2009;15(5):350-351
Objective To determine the clinical value of intraoperative cholangiography in mini-cholecystectomy. Methods The clinical data of 506 patients receiving intraoperative cholangiography in minicholecystectomy from 1992 to 2006 in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively. Results Intr-aoperative cholangiography was successfully completed in 403 patients. The success rate was 97.4%.Stones in the bile duct in 49 patients, abnormal bite duet in 4 patients and bile duct injury in 4 patient were found. The cuts were extended in 16 patients. Conclusion Intraoperative cholangiography is of great value in inducing postoperative complications and improving the quality of MC. Therefore, it can be used to prevent residual stone after operation, avoid bile duct exploration or injury, decrease the chance of extending the cut and make sure of abnormal bile duct.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(07):-
To observe repair of dental defect and its curative effect of the vertical root split of molar in the seniors, every affected section of 36 cases (40 teeth) of the senior's root split was extracted by hemisection, the other sections of them were repaired by either complete crown restoration (15 cases) or fixed bridge restoration (21 cases). The results showed that after 6~12 months, excellent curative effect was achieved in 32 cases, good curative effect in 3 cases, poor curative effect in 1 case. Significant difference was found between the two repair methods( P
