1.Progress of artificial ureter
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2006;0(01):-
Artificial ureter has been studied for nearly 60 years, however it is still in experimental stage. So far there are no commercially available products for clinical use except autologous intestines loop even though many progresses have been made. Each approach for making artificial ureter has its own inherent advantages, disadvantages and limitations. But some approaches have shown great potential to be used as ureteral substitutes. Preventing the conduit from salt depositing and ensuring a watertight anastomoses with native tissues are the key factors in designing and manufacturing the prosthetic ureter. Along with scientific and technical improvement, artificial ureter will be successfully used in clinical therapeuticsin in the very near future.
2.The effect of hyperestrogenemia on myocardial contractility and relaxation in myocardial infarction observed in female rats
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(06):-
The effect of hyperestrogenemia induced by intramuscular injectied estradiol (E_2) on myocardial contractility and relaxation was observed in female rats with myocardial infarction (MI). The results showed that: (1) In MI group, the plasma estradiol level increased slyghtly and then droped, while the level of estradiol increased markedly in rats treated by E_2 in MI (MIE_2) group. (2) Diameter of myofibril in MIE_2 grows more than that of control sham operation(CS) and MI (10.65?0.59 VS 7.65?0.40 and 10.15?0.54?m, P

Objective To explore the method of repairing foot soft tissue defects by using island skin flaps pedicled with sural nerves and vessels. Methods 24 patients with foot soft tissue defects were treated surgically. The defects were repaired with island skin flaps pedicled with ipsilateral sural nerves and vessels. Results Of all the 24 flaps, 21 flaps survived at the first intention. Partial necrosis appeared in 3 flaps but were cured at the second intention. The follow ups of 1 to 2 years showed that the appearance and function were satisfactory in all the cases except 4 in which the skin appeared swollen. Conclusion To repair foot soft tissue defects, this flap has the advantages of strong anti infection ability and good texture so that healing at the first intention and early functional recovery can be obtained.

Objective To determine the clinical value of intraoperative cholangiography in mini-cholecystectomy. Methods The clinical data of 506 patients receiving intraoperative cholangiography in minicholecystectomy from 1992 to 2006 in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively. Results Intr-aoperative cholangiography was successfully completed in 403 patients. The success rate was 97.4%.Stones in the bile duct in 49 patients, abnormal bite duet in 4 patients and bile duct injury in 4 patient were found. The cuts were extended in 16 patients. Conclusion Intraoperative cholangiography is of great value in inducing postoperative complications and improving the quality of MC. Therefore, it can be used to prevent residual stone after operation, avoid bile duct exploration or injury, decrease the chance of extending the cut and make sure of abnormal bile duct.

Objective To investigate a safe, highly efficient and rapid skin expansion method. Methods Syringe pump and pump control of automatic (PCA) replacemented normal affusion were used with shorter and vertical skin professional jargon for continuous and constant pressure skin expansion. Twenty cases (23 expanders) were carried out in this way. Results The maximum area of defect was 16 cm?20 cm, and the minimum area of defect was 3 cm?3 cm. The expanders were used for 18 days and the volume of expanders were 40-900 ml . It was more rapidly than normal affusion. There were no more complications except a case of expander leakage, and others expressed their satifactions Conclusion This modification of the skin expansion is a safe, comfortable, convenient to carry with. It is worth recommendation.
