[Objective]To explore the consumptive disease treating experience in Gushi Yijing, written by Gu Songyuan who lived in the Qing Dynasty. [Methods]By studying consumptive disease related content in the book, discussing and summing up the consumptive disease treating experience. [Results] On the basis of pointing out seven kinds of error method that doctor treating consumptive disease at that time, Gu Songyuan put forward the opinion that consumptive disease was usual y caused by the internal injury of Zang and Fu organs which resulted into Yin deficiency as the main pathogenesis. The article contained other details as fol ows: the basic symptoms of consumptive disease of the five internal organs, three main therapeutic methods on treatment of consumptive disease, the preference of nourishment combined drugs with food, habit of using some sweet and cold durgs which can clear heat, the use of flesh and blood of sentient beings and so on. So the key idea of this article focused on the method of nourishing Yin to enrich Jing and blood which could cure the consumptive disease effectively.[Conclusion]Gu Songyuan inherited predecessor ’s theory, analysed the etiology of consumptive disease of the five internal organs, pointed out Yin deficiency is the main pathogenesis, and then put forward the therapeutic method, which has some medical knowledge on modern clinic.

Objective To investigate the role of endoplasmic reticulum stress in lung ischemiareperfusion (I/R) injury in rats.Methods Fifty-six healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats,weighing 250-320 g,were randomly divided into 2 groups using a random number table:sham operation group (group S,n=16) and I/R group (n=40).Lung I/R was induced by clamping the left hilum of lung for 60 min followed by reperfusion.Before ischemia (T0) and at 0,1,2 and 4 h (T4) of reperfusion,PaO2 and PaCO2 were recorded.The rats were sacrificed,and lungs were removed for examination of pathological changes.Wet/dry lung weight ratio (W/D ratio) was calculated.The expression of molecular chaperones of 78-kDa glucose-regulated protein (GRP78) and C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP) protein and mRNA was detected in lung tissues using Western blot and real-time PCR,respectively.Results Compared with group S,PaO2was significantly decreased,PaCO2 and W/D ratio were increased,and the expression of GRP78 and CHOP protein and mRNA was up-regulated during reperfusion,and the pathological changes of lungs were found in group I/R.With the prolongation of reperfusion,the pathological changes of lungs were gradually aggravated,and the expression of GRP78 and CHOP protein and mRNA was gradually up-regulated in group I/R.Conclusion Excessive endoplasmic reticulum stress may be one of the pathophysiological mechanisms of lung I/R injury in rats.

Artificial ureter has been studied for nearly 60 years, however it is still in experimental stage. So far there are no commercially available products for clinical use except autologous intestines loop even though many progresses have been made. Each approach for making artificial ureter has its own inherent advantages, disadvantages and limitations. But some approaches have shown great potential to be used as ureteral substitutes. Preventing the conduit from salt depositing and ensuring a watertight anastomoses with native tissues are the key factors in designing and manufacturing the prosthetic ureter. Along with scientific and technical improvement, artificial ureter will be successfully used in clinical therapeuticsin in the very near future.

The number of IPFI has increased in recent years because of the increasing of immunocompromised hosts due to abuse of antibiotics,glucocorticoids,immunosuppressants and all kinds of invasive operations,organ transplants.The mortality of IPFI remains highly because it's difficult to early diagnosis.Histopathologic biopsy remains as the gold standard for IPFI diagnosis although limited by materials.Imaging manifestations are nonspecific but have important suggestive values to some kinds of fungus.Direct examination is quickly but it's difficult to distinguish strain.Fungal culture can guide the treatment but its positive rate is low and the distinguish for contamination,infection and colonization is hard.Serological test has high sensitivity and specificity,but it cannot distinguish strain and it can yield false positives and false negative.Molecular biology is one of rapid developing methods,but its application is limited due to lack of standardized procedures and standards to assess its results,furthermore it can yield false positives.The proper diagnosis for IPFI relies on the comprehensive assessment combing with advantages and disadvantages of various methods.

Objective To understand the efficacy of meibomian gland compression by themselves and outpatient meibomian gland dredge treatment with dry eye young patients of meibomian gland dysfunction.Methods Selected 48 young patients with dry eye of meibomian gland dysfunction,patients were divided into two groups according to the wishes,28 patients were given method guidance of meibomian gland compression by themselves (compression group),every 10 minutes,three times a day,4 weeks after the referral.Other 20 cases meibomian gland dredge by a doctor at the eye clinic performed under anesthesia (dredge group),2 weeks,4 weeks after the referral and then dredge,3 times.All patients were given to health education,all patients before treatment and after treatment for 4 weeks underwent Schirmer Ⅰ test (S Ⅰ t),tear film breakup time (BUT),corneal fluorescein staining (CFL) examination and compared.Results The level of BUT,S Ⅰ t,CFL before treatment in two groups had no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05).After treatment for 4 weeks,eye symptom had improved in two groups.The level of BUT,CFL before and after treatment for 4 weeks in two groups had significant difference (P ＜ 0.05).But the level of S Ⅰ t,BUT,CFL after treatment for 4 weeks between two groups had no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Dry eye young patients of meibomian gland dysfunction if they can correctly perform meibomian gland compression by themselves can also be reached effectively alleviate dry eye and ocular discomfort symptom improvement purposes.

Objective To investigate the rule of cell apoptosis after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in rats, and to analyze the effect of Astragalus injection on the brain tissue water content and cell apoptosis perihematoma.Methods Experimental ICH models of rats were produced in by injection of Collagenase into right caudate nucleus using stereotaxis technique. After operation, 160 SD rats were randomly divided into 4 test groups according to different intervention time (operation meanwhile group, 6 h group,12 h group and 24 h group after operation, 32 rats in each group) and hemorrhagic control group (32 rats). The rats in test groups were treated with Astragalus injection intraperitoneally once a day. All ICH animals were killed at 4 d or 7 d after ICH. 12 rats from the above each group were used to measure brain tissue water content (dry-wet method). The effect of different initiation time point of treatment on brain tissue water content and cell apoptosis perihematoma was observed. Objective To investigate the role of IL-12 in lung ischemia-reperfusion(L/R)injury in rats.Methods Twenty-four healthy male SD rats,8-10 weeks,weighing 250-280 g,were randomly divided into 3 groups(n =8 each):sham operation group(S),I/R group,IL-12 monoclonal antibody group(group IL-12).LungI/R was induced by clamping the left hilum of lung for 60 min followed by 120 min reperfusion in groupsI/R and IL-12.IL-12 monoclonal antibody 200tg/kg was injected via the caudal vein at I h before clamping the left hilum.The blood samples were collected at the end of reperfusion,the rats were then sacrificed and lungs removed for determination of the plasma TNF-α concentration,Th1 and Th2 levels,W/D lung weight ratio,MDA content,MPO activity,PaO2 and PaCO2 in lung tissues and for microscopic examination.Results Compared with group S,W/D ratio and the level of MPO,MDA and TNF-α were significantly increased in groups I/R and IL-12,and PaO2 was significantly decreased,and PaCO2,Th1 level and Th1/Th2 sere significantly increased in group I/R(P ＜0.01),and no significant change was found in PaO2,PaCO2,the level of Th1 and Th2,and Th1/Th2 in group IL-12(P ＞ 0.05).PaCO2,W/D ratio,the levels of MDA,MPO,plasma TNF-u,Th1 and Th1/Th2 were significantly lower,and Th2 level and PaCO2 were significantly higher in group IL-12 than in group I/R(P ＜ 0.01).The pathologic changes of the lung were attenuated in group IL.12.Conclusion IL-12 is involved in the lung I/R injury through inducing Th1/Th2 imbalance in rats.

Objective To investigate the effect of GSK-3β inhibitor TDZD-8 on activation of NF-κB during lung ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) in rats.Methods Thirty-two healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats,aged 8-10 weeks,weighing 250-280 g,were randomly divided into 4 groups (n=8 each): sham operation group (sham group) ; I/R group,I/R + dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) group and I/R + TDZD-8 group.Lung I/R was induced by clamping the left hilum of lung for 1 h followed by 2 h reperfusion.10％ DMSO and TDZD-8 1 mg/kg were injected intravenously at 5 min betore reperfusion in groups I/R + DMSO and I/R + TDZD-8,respectively.Blood samples were taken at 2 h of reperfusion for determination of arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) and concentrations of plasma interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α).The animals were then sacrificed and the left lung was removed for determination of W/D lung weight ratio,myeloperpxidase (MPO) activity,expression of phosphorylated glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (p-GSK-3β) and phosphorylated nuclear factor-kappa B p65 (pNF-κB p65) and for microscopic examination.Results Compared with sham group,PaO2 and the expression of pGSK-3β were significantly decreased,and the concentrations of plasma IL-6 and TNF-α,W/D lung weight ratio,MPO activity and expression of p-NF-κB p65 were significantly increased in the other groups (P ＜ 0.05),and PaO2 and the expression of p-GSK-3β were significantly increased and the other parameters were significantly decreased in I/R+ TDZD-8 group (P＜ 0.05).There were no significant differences in the parameters mentioned above among groups I/R and I/R + DMSO (P ＞ 0.05).Microscopic examination showed that I/R-induced lung injury was ameliorated by TDZD-8.Conclusion GSK-3β inhibitor TDZD-8 can attenuate lung I/R injury by downregulating phosphorylation of NF-κB p65 and inhibiting inflammatory response.

The imaging of X-ray, CT and MRI of 25 cases of limb bone contusion were analyzed retrospectively. Twenty five cases of limb bone confusion were diagnosed by MRI imaging, including 18 cases(72% ) in knee joint,4 cases(16%) in anklebone,2 cases(8%) in wrist and 1 case(4%) in elbow joint. But only 3 cases (12%)presented partial positive results in CT imaging and there was no bone contusion diagnosed. No abnormal manifestation in X-ray imaging for all 25 cases. The results suggest that MRI examination is valuable for diagnose of limb bone contusion.

Objective To evaluate the effect of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression on varicose recurrence in esophagus after devascularization in portal hypertensive rats. Methods Murine pre-hepatic portal hypertension (PHPH) was induced by partial portal vein stenosis. 3 weeks after the establishment of the PHPH, all rats including sham operation group (SO) underwent devascularization. Esophagus was sampled at the time of 1, 3, 5, 7, 14, 30, 90 days after devascularization respectively. The expression of VEGF and factor Ⅷ related antigen (FⅧAg) was detected by immunohistochemistry,and the microvessel density (MVD) was counted under FⅧAg staining. ResultsCompared to the SO rats, the MVD of esophagus in PHPH rats increased significantly before devascularization(P0.05). At the third month after devascularization, the MVD of PHPH rats was higher than that of SO rats. In SO rats, MVD increased after devascularization, reaching the peak on the third day and then levelling off.The expression of VEGF before devascularization in PHPH rats was significantly higher than in SO rats, and VEGF experssion was on the pinnacle in two groups after devascularization, but the expression time of PHPH rats was significantly longer than SO rats(P
