Objective To assess the correlation between fundic gland polyps and colorectal neoplasia. Methods Clinical records of patients who underwent both gastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy during the same period were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 195 patients were enrolled into the study,65 diagnosed as having fundic gland polyps and 130 as controls matched with age and sex. Colonoscopic findings were compared between the two groups. Results Colorectal neoplasia was identified in 12 (18. 5%) of 65 patients and in 8 (6. 2%) of 130 controls with significant difference (P =0. 008) . Stratification analysis suggested that the incidence of colorectal neoplasia in fundic gland polyps group was higher in females or aged less than 50 than that of the control group(P=0. 023,0. 008). Conclusion Patients with fundic gland polyps have significantly higher risk for colorectal neoplasia. A screening colonoscopy may be necessary for patients with fundic gland polyps to detect colorectal neoplasia.

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 1993;0(03):-
Objective To evaluate a new surgical approach for the treatment of carcinoma of the gastric cardia. Methods The GI stapler was used to perform intramediastinal esophagogastrostomy for cardial carcinoma in 89 cases and esophago-jejunostomy in 16 cases undergoing total gastrectomy by the transabdominal approach with incising the crus dextrum of the diaphragm. Results The average length resected of the lower part of the esophagus was over 7 cm. Intramediastinal lymph node metastasis was found by pathology in 209% (22/105).There was no operative mortality and the morbidity rate was 476%, 5 year survival rate was 39%. Conclusions The technique enables lymphadenectomy within the lower mediastinum and a sufficiently long enough resection of the esophagus. Transabdominal incision of the crus dextrum of the diaphragm makes a clear operative field for the purpose of radical operation for carcinoma of the gastric cardia. The anastomosis by GI stapler effectively prevents anastomotic leakage. This procedure is indicated for cardial carcinoma cases in which the esophageal involvement is within 2 cm.

Objective To investigate the effect of long non-coding RNA (LncRNA) Hox transcript antisense inter-genic RNA ( HOTAIR ) on the cell proliferation and apoptosis of renal cancer cell lines 786-O and ACHN. Methods Small interfere RNA ( siRNA ) that aims to down-regulate HOTAIR expression was transfected into two renal cell lines respectively, and the transfection efficiency was evaluated by qRT-PCR. Then the MTT assay,Ho-chest staining assay and enzyme-linked immunosorbnent assay(ELISA) were used to detect cell proliferation and apoptosis. Results The expression of HOTAIR could be down-regulated effectively by the siRNA (P < 0. 05). Down-regulation of HOTAIR could inhibit the proliferation(P < 0. 05) and increase apoptosis(P < 0. 05) of two re-nal cancer cells. Conclusion HOTAIR plays a role in promoting cell growth of renal cancer.

China Oncology 2001;0(05):-
Purpose:To investigate the mechanisms, susceptibility, prevention and treatment of the tumor patients'renal function, which was injured by the Body Gama Kinfe treatment. Methods:There were 7 patients, who had been observed for the effect of hydration,vaso-dilation,diuresis,basifying urine,anti-coagulation,detocifiation,even hemodialysis. Results:All patients' renal function gradually recovered. Conclusions:The tumour patients' renal function can be acutely injured by Body Gama Kinfe treatment. The patients who were elderly or inherent in renal failure would be prone to injary. In general we could improve the situation by better prevention,early-diagnosis,efficient treatment,so that we can not only alleviate the injuries, but also speed recovery, thus achieving better prognosis.

Objective To study the influence of aldehydes and tannic acid on soft capsules, approach how to prevent soft capsules from delayed disintegration. Methods Add aldehydes and tannic acid to soft capsules material ingredient, to proceed accelerating stability trial and test the disintegration time. Result Little increase of aldehydes amount had great effect on the disintegration time of soft capsules, different aldehydes and tannic acid had different effect on the disintegration time, adding some organic acid such as fumaric acid to the material would improve disintegrating property. Conclusion The amount of aldehydes and tannic acid contained in the material and ingredient should be controlled strictly when prepare soft capsules so that the disintegration time of capsules could be complying with the Pharmacopeia.

We found that the platelet aggregation rates induced by ADP, arachidonic acid (AA), collagen and A23187 had an apparent decreasing after injection of berberine into the vein of rabbits, and also found that berberine had an apparent inhibition of calcium influx into platelet induced by A23187 at lower concentrations. We demonstrated that berberine had no obvious effect on cAMP level in the intact platelet of rabbits.

Objective To assess the value of acute physiology and chronic health evaluationⅡ (APACHE-Ⅱ) score and extrapancreatic inflammation on abdominal computed tomography (EPIC) score in predicting outcome of patients with acute pancreatitis (AP).Methods One hundred and forty-seven patients with AP who underwent abdominal computed tomography scan within 24 h and acute physiological examination after admission were studied. To assess their value in predicting severe AP and complications, the APACHE Ⅱ score and EPIC score was calculated and evaluated by calculating receiver operator characteristic (ROC)curves, the sensitivity, the specificity, the Youden index and the area under the ROC curve (AUC).Results Forty-three of 147 patients developed severe AP.The mean scores of APACHE-Ⅱ score and EPIC score two criteria systems was significantly higher in severe AP than that in mild AP (P< 0.01).EPIC score had 0.893 sensitivity,0.870 specificity and the largest AUC for predicting severe AP.EPIC score had the largest AUC in predicting local complications. But the EPIC score was equal to the APACHE-Ⅱ score in AUC to predict systemic complications. Conclusion In patients with AP.EPIC score and APACHE-Ⅱ score combination will estimate the prognosis of disease accurately within 24 h of admission.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2016;24(2):131-133
Moyamoya disease is an uncommon cerebral disease, but its morbidity is relatively high in East Asian populations. Ivy sign refers to the dot or linear high signal phenomenon in MRI T1 enhanced sequence in patients with moyamoya disease. It mainly distributes in the pial surface of cerebral cortex or within subarachnoid space. It has important significance for diagnosing moyamoya disease and assessing the staging and prognosis of moyamoya disease. This article briefly reviews this imaging finding and its significance.

Objective To investigate the development of ICUs and critical care medicine at secondary and above hospitals in Inner Mongolia. Methods Questionnaire survey of ICUs at secondary and tertiary hospitals in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from October 2010 to June 2011.Results There are 76 ICUs at 26 hospitals, including 24 general ICUs and 52 special ICUs; tertiary hospitals average 2.47±0.63 special ICUs,while secondary hospital average 2.23±1.12 special ICUs; 35% of the ICUs are subject to close-off management; general ICUs at tertiary hospitals account for 1.21% ± 0.35 % of total beds of the hospital, and for 1.98% ± 0.63% of secondary hospitals.Regarding the ratio of physicians to ICUs beds,it is 0.75±0.15 at tertiary hospitals, and 0.62± 0.231 at secondary hospitals. As to the ratio of nurses to beds,it is 1.58 ± 0.72 at tertiary hospitals, and 1.36 ± 0.27 at secondary hospitals. Conclusion This survey showed that ICUs in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region are acceptable in numbers, but are found with problems in insufficient beds, poor staff deployment, obsolete medical equipments and weak technical forces. Therefore, critical care medicine and ICU development should be enhanced during the second round of hospital accreditation in China.
