We found that the platelet aggregation rates induced by ADP, arachidonic acid (AA), collagen and A23187 had an apparent decreasing after injection of berberine into the vein of rabbits, and also found that berberine had an apparent inhibition of calcium influx into platelet induced by A23187 at lower concentrations. We demonstrated that berberine had no obvious effect on cAMP level in the intact platelet of rabbits.

Objective To investigate the effect of ischemic preconditioning (IPC) on expression of intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in brain tissues following traumatic brain injury (TBI) in rats. Methods Sixty male SD rats weighing 220-250 g were randomly divided into three groups (n =20 for each):sham operation group,TBI group, and IPC group.Cerebral IPC models were induced by transient occlusion of the bilateral common carotid arteries; TBI models were induced by Feeney's freefalling method; rats in sham operation group were only performed exposure of dura of the right parietal lobe.Ten rats were sacrificed respectively at 6 and 72 hours after TBI and injured brain tissues were harvested to estimate wet/dry weight (W/D) ratio for the brain, determine ICAM-1 expression by immunohistochemistry and perform microscopic examination. Results Brain W/D ratio was significantly increased in TBI group compared with sham operation group (6 h:4.2 ± 0.4 vs 2.7 ± 0.4 ; 72 h:5.0 ±0.1 vs 3.1 ± 0.2,P < 0.05).ICAM-1 expression was up-regulated in TBI group compared with sham operationgroup (6h:25.4±3.5vs8.6±1.3; 72 h:36.5±5.4 vs8.4±1.6,P<0.05).W/D ratio was significantly decreased in IPC group compared with TBI group (6 h:3.5 ±0.6 vs 4.2 ±0.4; 72 h:3.7 ± 0.4 vs 5.0 ± 0.1,P < 0.05).ICAM-1 expression was down-regulated in IPC group compared with TBI group (6 h:16.5 ± 2.7 vs 25.4 ± 3.5 ; 72 h:24.3 ± 4.6 vs 36.5 ± 5.4,P < 0.05).Milder injury to brain tissues was observed in IPC group than in TBI group. Conclusion IPC can attenuate TBI in rats by down-regulating the expression of ICAM-1.

Objective:To study the influence of different dietary patterns in hypertension, and to provide references for establishing a healthy dietary pattern, improving the abnormal blood pressure, preventing the early hypertension and controlling the high blood pressure. Methods:Random cluster sampling was adopted to analyze the dietary, examine the physical situations, and measure the blood pressures among 1 394 residents of Han nationality and Korean nationality aged from 40 to 80 years old from 8 villages in Jinlin Province from 2010 to 2011.Factor analysis was used to establish the dietary patterns and to analyze the effects of different dietary patterns on the prevalence of hypertension. Results:The prevalence of hypertension of middle aged and elderly people in the rural areas of Jilin Province was 35.3%.4 dietary patterns were obtained through factor analysis, including salted product dietary pattern, alcohol dietary pattern, condiments dietary pattern and high protein dietary pattern.By multivariate Logistic regression analysis and adjustment of the age,the gender, the nationality, the education and the career background, alcohol dietary pattern was positively correlated with the occurrence of the hypertension (OR=1.43,95%CI 1.07-1.90).Conclusion:Alcohol dietary pattern is closely related to the hypertension. Long-time large amount of alcohol is a risk cause for high blood pressure. Reducing alcohol consumption and developing healthy diet habits can help to prevent hypertension.

Objective To study the methodology and effect of auricle reconstruction with prefabricated expanded fascial flap in temporal and parietal area and skin flap in mastoid area, covered on the Medpor support. Methods Thirty cases of congenital vestigial auricle were involved in this study. The operations were divided into two stages: in the stage I,the temporal and parietal superficial fascia flap was cut with a vascular pedicle in the parietal and temporal superficial area, which was implanted under the skin of mastoid, and then both layers of those were expanded at the same time; in the stage II, this fascial skin flap was cut down and covered on the whole Medpor support to rebuild the man-made auricle. Results Thirty cases were successful after following-up for 6 months to 3 years. Their auricle shapes were vivid; their skin color was normal, and it had no any difference from all around skins, or no any appearance of the support. Conclusions With best understanding the biological characteristics of the Medpor support and choosing the suitable procedures and using the prefabricated expanded support, we could minimize the surgical complications in this operation. The results show that this procedure is satisfactory, without any necrosis of flap, swelling of contour, or appearance of the support. The combination of two flaps is the best method for the auricle reconstruction.

Objective To evaluate the role of laparoscopic ultrasonography (LUS) in difficult place laparoscopic hepatectomy of the right liver. Methods The data of 7 patients undergoing laparoscopic hepatectomy with tumor in the difficult location of the right liver in our hospital between Jun 2015 and Aug 2017 were retrospectively analyzed.LUS was used during all the operations in order to investigate the anatomy of the operations, determine the tumor stage and guide the incision margin of tumor. It was conventionally used to detect the relationship between the lesions and peripheral intrahepatic vessels and ducts. Results Seven cases underwent successful laparoscopic hepatectomy. The mean operative time was (121 ± 50) min, average intraoperative blood loss was (301 ± 122) ml,and there was no operative mortality.Mean hospital stay was (7.1 ± 1.2) d.One suffered biliary leakage and was cured by conservative treatment. Conclusions Laparoscopic ultrasound can determine tumor location and guide the operative route, increasing safety of laparoscopic hepatectomy.

Objective:To investigate the early predictive factors of periprocedural thrombus migration and the relationship between periprocedural thrombus migration and prognosis after mechanical thrombectomy (MT) in stroke patients. Methods:The patients with anterior circulation acute large vessel occlusion stroke (ALVOS) who underwent MT in the Stroke Center of Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical College from May 2015 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The baseline characteristics, procedural and clinical outcomes were collected. Univariate and multivariate regression analysis was used to explore the risk factors of thrombus migration and the relationship between thrombus migration and prognosis of patients. Results:There were 302 ALVOS patients [(68.8±11.0) years old and 166 males (55.0%)] included, of whom thrombus migration was identified in 80 patients (26.5%), including 60 cases (75.0%) of proximal migration. Cardiogenic stroke ( OR=2.722, 95% CI 1.367-5.418, P=0.004) and clot burden score (CBS; OR=0.849, 95% CI 0.745-0.968, P=0.015) were independent risk factors of thrombus migration. Proximal migration ( OR=2.822, 95% CI 1.220-6.528, P=0.015) was an independent risk factor of 90-day clinical outcome, while the effect of distal migration on 90-day clinical outcome was not statistically significant. Conclusions:Cardiogenic stroke and lower CBS score are independent predictors of periprocedural thrombus migration in ALVOS patients who underwent MT. Proximal migration is an independent risk factor for the prognosis of patients, which has important clinical intervention significance.
