1.Polymorphism of Duffy blood group phenotypes and breast cancer in Chinese female breast disease patients of Han population

Background and purpose:Duffy blood group(DBG)system contains genotype system and phenotype system.DBG phenotype system is embodied by the protein carrying blood group antigens on the surface of red blood cells.Epidemiological evidence has shown that different races had definitely different DBG phenotype disuribution and there is a variation of morbidity and mortality of breast cancer among different race populations.Therefore,this study was to investigate whether DBG phenotype affects breast cancer occurrence and malignancy.Methods:We investigated DBG phenotypes of 253 female cases with breast diseases who were consecutively hospitalized in the Shanghai Cancer Hospital and analysis was done on its relationship with clinical pathological diagnosis.DBG phenotypes were examined by indirect antiglobulin-test with anti-Fya and anti-Fyb reagents,and were classified into Fya+Fyb-,Fya-Fyb+,Fya+Fyb+,Fya-Fyb-according agglutination.Results:Neither DBG phenotypes distribution difference existed in breast disease patients nor in breast cancer patients as observed in the general Chinese Han population.Fya-Fyb-and Fya-Fyb+ demonstrated more susceptibility to breast cancer than Fya+Fyb-and Fya+Fyb+,but there was no statistical significant difference.Fya-group(57.14%)had more malignant incidence than that of Fya+ group(39.02%),but there was also no statistical significance(P=0.28).No significant differences have been observed in ER,PR,Her-2 status and P53,PCNA,PS2,nm23,P450 status between every DBG phenotypes,nor in tumor grades in various DBG phenotypes.More patients were involved in axillary lymph nodes metastasis in Fya-than that in Fya+ group and reached statistical significance(100% and 39.13% respectively,P
2.Estrogen promotes ER positive breast cancer cell growth with up-regulating chemokine CXCL12

Background and purpose:Exposure to estrogen is an important independent determinant of the risk of breast cancer.Moreover,chemokines and its corresponding receptors play an important role in breast cancer occurrence and development.Our study is to investigate the impact and related mechanism of estrogen on chemokines expression in breast cancer cells.Methods:Microarray was performed to analyse chemokine and corresponding receptors' mRNA expression in MCF-7 cells treated with estradiol.Real-time(RT)-PCR was applied to confirm the change of chemokine expression at different time point with different dose of estradiol in presence or absence of ICI182,780.ELISA was used to analyse the change of extracelluar secrete protein.Results:Physiological estradiol could obviously up-regulate CXCL12 mRNA expression in breast cancer cell MCF-7,which emerged from 4h after treatment and continued to 24 h.In addition,estradiol could stimulate CXCL12 protein secretion from 2h to 24h after treatment.These effects could be totally inhibited when MCF-7 was treated with ICI182,780(ER antagonist)prior to estradiol.Conclusions:Our study demonstrated that estrogen could up-regulate CXCL12 mRNA expression and its extracelluar protein secretion,which was mediated through ER signaling pathway.

4.Enzymological Characteristics of Catalytic Antibody-catalyzed enantioselective Hydrolysis of Ibuprofen Ester in Water-in-oil microemulsion

The asymmetric hydrolyzation of racemic ibuprofen ester is one of the most important methods for chiral separation of ibuprofen. A catalytic antibody that accelerates the rate of enantioselective hydrolysis of ibuprofen methyl ester was successfully elicited against an immunogen consisting of tetrahedral sulfate hapten attached to bovine serum albumin (BSA). The rate constant enhancement factor Kcat/Kuncat was about 1.6x104. The catalytic activity of the catalytic antibody in a reverse micelle reaction system based on sodium b/s (2-ethylhexyl) sodium sulfosuccinate (AOT) in isooctane was studied. Kinetic analysis of the catalytic antibody-catalyzed reaction was found to be possible in this system. Kinetic studies showed that hydrolysis in the microemulsion system follow Michaelis-Menten kinetics. The catalytic antibody can also accelerate catalysis of S-ibuprofen methyl ester in the microemulsion system. Temperature effects, the pH profile, Km,app and Kcat were determined. The dependence of the catalytic antibody hydrolytic activity on the Wo (molar ratio of water to surfactant) showed a bell-shaped curve, presenting a maximum at about wo = 21.
5.Traits of Anxiety and Depression of Psychological Stress Insomniacs and Relationship to Personality and Behavior Type

Objective To investigate the traits of anxiety and depression of psychological stress insomniacs and the relationship to personality and behavior type.Methods The anxiety and depression as well as personality and behavior type of 56 psychological stress insomniacs were assessed with Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS) as well as Type A Behavior Pattern Scale(TABP).Results Compared with domestic norm,scores of SAS and SDS of psychological stress insomniacs were significantly higher(P<0.01).According to classification standard of SAS and SDS,54 patients(96.4%) were with slight or moderate anxiety and 50 patients(89.3%) with slight or moderate depression.The general distribution of severity of anxiety and depression was no difference(P>0.05).The number of type A-behavior psychological stress insomniacs was 22,obviously more than type A(8 cases),type M(5 cases),type B-(13 cases) and type B(8 cases).Conclusion Psychological stress insomniacs have obvious anxiety and depression.
6.Analysis of Traditional Chinese Medicine Physique Types of Elderly Population from One University Community in Guangzhou

Objective To provide epidemiological evidence for the application of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) physique differentiation to the disease control and prevention, Chinese medicine health care, public education and so on in the elderly population. Methods TCM physique types of the elderly population aged over 65 years old from one University community in Tianhe district of Guangzhou city were analyzed by one-on-one questionnaire investigation with the Classification and Identification Scale for Senile Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution, and the correlation of TCM physique types with gender, age group was also explored. Results (1) In the 65-year-old elderly population of 777 cases, 231(29.7%) were classified into phlegm-damp physique, 129(16.6%) into blood-stasis physique, and 71(9.1%) into harmony physique, which contributed to the major physique types. (2) Physique types varied in the gender. The male was dominated by phlegm-damp physique and damp-heat physique, and the female was dominated by yang-deficiency constitution, Qi-stagnation physique and interweaved physique. The differences of the constitution ratio of physique types in the gender were significant (P<0.01). (3) In various age groups, the leading 3 physique types were the same, and they were phlegm-damp physique, blood-stasis physique, and interweaved physique (P<0.01). With the increase of age years, the ratio of deficiency physique type showed an increasing trend while that of the non-deficiency physique type showed a decreasing trend. Conclusion The investigation revealed the distribution of TCM physique types of the elderly population from one University community in Guangzhou, which has important practical value for the intervention of the elderly population with Chinese medicine.
7.Designing and application of surgical nursing electronic medical records

Objective To study the methed of designing the surgical nursing electronic medical records and investigate the effect of application.Method According the nursing record form by Guangdong Provincial Clinical Nursing Writing Criterion (Specialty Version),we designed and completed the surgical nursing electronic medical records form.Result After implementation of the nursing electronic medical records,the mean time of measuring and inputting the patients’vital signs was(1.0±0.3)min and the mean time of finishing the nursing electronic medical records was 4.0±0.5 min.Conclusion Standardizing the form and content of nursing electronic medical records can improve the efficiency of routine work and the quality of nursing records.
