Objective To sdudy the expression of p53 and nm23-H1 proteins and their clinical significance in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods The expression of p53 and nm23-H1 proteins were detected by immunohistochemistry method in 40 cases with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and 22 cases with chronic inflammation of nasopharyngeal mucosa tissues. Results Positive rates of p53 and nm23-H1 in chronic nasopharyngitis group were 1.0 %,27.2 %,and in the NPC group were 92.5 %,55.0 %.There were 9 cases with the positive expression of p53 in 22 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues with the positive expression of nm23-H1 (40.9 %).There were 17 cases with the positive expression of p53 in 18 cases with the negative expression of nm23-H1 (94.4 %).The expression of p53 and nm23-H1 proteins in nasopharyngeal carcinoma were much higher than that in chronic inflammation of nasopharyngeal mucosa tissues. The expression of p53 protein in nasopharyngeal carcinoma with metastatic lymph node was higher than that in nasopharyngeal carcinoma without metastatic lymph node, but nm23-H1 protein lower. The expression of p53 protein was positively correlated with the metastasis, clinnical staging and pathological classification but not correlated with T classification of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The expression of nm23-H1 protein was negative correlation with the metastasis and clinical staging of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Conclusion p53 and nm23-H1 play important coordinated regulation roles in the carcinogenesis, development and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and will probably become the key biological marks in the judging and evaluating prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

3.A case of neuroglia choristoma in middle ear.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2013;27(13):733-733
UNLABELLED:
A 14-year-old young man presented with a white oval mass on the right side of external auditory canal.
PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
Under ear endoscope, a size of 0.6 cm x 0.8 cm x 0.6 cm, smooth and unmovable mass was on the right side of external auditory canal. In surgery, a cystic neoplasm which is connected to neoplasm of the external auditory canal by bone defect was found in aditus of drum sinus, and local bone defect in the back wall of drum sinus. Tympanic membrane and auditory ossicle chain is complete. Postoperative pathologic findings were consistent with neuroglia choristoma. The diagnosis mainly relied on the postoperative pathological findings.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2012;14(6):750-752,755
ObjectiveTo investigate the expression of autocrine motility factor receptor (AMFR)in papillary thyroid carcinoma and its relationship with clinical characteristics of this disease. Methods Real - time quantitative PCR and immunohistochemical methods were used to analyze the expression of AMFR in papillary thyroid carcinomas.ResultsThe significant differences in AMFR expression between papillary thyroid carcinoma and normal thyroid tissues were found in the levels of mRNA (6.296 ± 1.568 vs 7.913 ± 2.351,t=3.681,P=0.001 ) and protein ( 63.1% vs 34.5 %,x2=13.722,P < 0.001 ),respectively.Immunohistochemistry analyses showed that the protein expression of AMFR in papillary thyroid carcinomas were significantly correlated with tumour size ( x2=5.209,P < 0.05 ) and lymph node metastasis ( x2=4.32,P < 0.05 ),and it was affected by the factors age ( x2=0.739,P=0.39 ) and gender ( x2=0.064,P=0.81 ).ConclusionsThe increased AMFR in papillary thyroid carcinoma would be a new target for cancer therapy and a new marker for prognosis.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(2):98-101
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the allergens in patients with allergic rhinitis in Yichang, so that to find common allergens of Yichang and to provide statistic basis for a reasonable prevention and treatment to allergic rhinitis.
METHOD:
1,979 patients with allergic rhinitis in Yichang were detected for allergens by skin prick test and the distribution of positive rates to inhaled allergens was compared between different genders and ages.
RESULT:
1,545 (78.1%) of 1,979 suspected allergic rhinitis patients presented positive reaction. The positive rate in male was significantly higher than in female, and that in juvenile group was significantly higher than in adults. Among positive cases in inhalation group, the most common allergen was flour mite (80.4%), followed by house dust mite (64.9%), cockroach (13.3%) and artemisia pollen (8.2%).
CONCLUSION
The study shows that the flour mite and house dust mite are the most common inhaled allergens causing allergic rhinitis in Yichang. We should pay more attention to the prevention and treatment for the juvenile patients.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(3):264-266
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the epidemiological features in patients with allergic rhinitis (AR) in Yichang city, and put forward effective prevention and control measures.
METHOD:
Collecting the data of allergic rhinitis in city proper from 2010 to 2013, input the data into the database and used statistical analysis.
RESULT:
In recent years, the AR patients in this area increased year by year. The spring and the winter were the peak season of onset. The patients was constituted by young men. There was statistically significant difference between the age, the area, and the gender (P < 0.01). The history of allergy and the diseases related to the gender composition had statistical significance difference (P < 0.05). The allergens and the positive degree in gender, age structure had statistically significant difference (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSION
Need to conduct the healthy propaganda and education, optimizing the environment, change the bad habits, timely medical treatment, standard treatment.

Objective The aim of this study was to determine whether active part of Glycyrrhiza extract (GL)induced apoptosis in Hela cells and its inhibitory mechanism. Methods HeLa cells were treated with 25 g/mL of GL for 24hs.Cell viability and apoptosis in HeLa cells were determined by MTT,AO/EB fluorescent double staining, transmission electron microscope(TEM),and Western blot. Results The MTT results showed that GL significantly inhibited the proliferation of HeLa cells in a dose-response.After treatment for 24 hrs, large number of early apoptotitc cell were observed using AO/EB fluorescent double staining and TEM.The expression of Pro-caspase-9 and Cleaved-caspase-3 protein was higher in GL-treated cells them those of the control cells(P<0.05).Conclusion GL can activate Caspase-3 and Caspase-9 genes to induce apoptosis in HeLa cells.
