2.Research status of radiotherapy-induced taste disorders in head and neck malignant tumors
Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2021;30(1):95-97
As one of the five senses of human beings, taste is inseparable from our lives. It is vulnerable to radiotherapy-induced injury for head and neck malignant tumors, which in turn affects the patients′ quality of life and clinical prognosis. In this article, the epidemiological characteristics, pathogenesis, influencing factors, evaluation and prevention and treatment of radiotherapy-related taste disorders were reviewed, aiming to explore the research progress on the radiotherapy-induced taste disorders and provide novel ideas to improve the quality of life in the whole process of radiotherapy for patients with head and neck malignant tumors.

Bioremediation is one of the most effective ways to treat and dispose of chlorinated hydrocarbons, and methanotrophs are potentially useful to do so. Recent studies found that facultative methanotrophs can use compounds containing C-C bond as sources of carbon and energy, thus overcoming the limitation that obligate methanotrophsone uses only C1 compounds for this process. This is a unique metabolic approach that is becoming increasingly attractive in the field of contaminant biodegradation. Here, we summarized the bioremediation of chlorinated hydrocarbons by obligate and facultative methanotrophs. This process involves the degradation of various chlorinated hydrocarbons by diverse strains, including pure cultures and mixed cultures. We also compare the activity expression and catalytic properties of different types of methane monooxygenases in various substrates. We furthermore summarize the kinetic characteristics of the degradation of chlorinated hydrocarbons using the model strain Methylosinus trichosporium OB3b, and outline the degradation and potential of chlorinated hydrocarbons by facultative methanotrophs. Lastly, we discuss current problems and future research directions for degradation of chlorinated hydrocarbons by methanotrophs.

China Pharmacy 2001;0(09):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the enhancing effects of azone at different concentrations on percutaneous permeation of compound tinidazole gel and to find out the best concentration.METHODS:Using vertical Franz-type diffusion cell and dif?ferent concentrations of azone as enhancer, the concentrations of tinidazole, chloramphenicol and salicylic acid in permeation solution were measured by RP-HPLC,then cumulative permeation quantity(Q)was calculated.RESULTS&CONCLUSION:Azone at different concentrations could promote the permeability of3ingredients of compound tinidazole gel,and2%azone had the most obvious permeation-enhancing effect.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(04):-
The studies on the antihypoxia mechanism of 18?-SGA were reported. The survival time of hypoxia mice were longer than those of the control after intraperitoneal injections of 14mg/kg or 21mg/kg of 18?-SGA ( Sodium 18?-glycyrrenetic acid). Changes of various physiological indications after administration of the drug were as follows: blood pH was risen; acidosis was relieved; and the partial pressure of oxygen in the mixed blood was decreaed. The blood thyroxine level remain unchanged. It suggests the utilization of oxygen by the tissues was strengthened.

Objective To explore a better method to establish temporal lobe epilepsy model by administrating drug in brain region. Methods Kainic acid(KA)4 ?g/kg was injected into rat's hippocampus by stereotactic operation. The rat's behavior,EEG and pathological changes were observed. Results After the rat's hippocampus injected with KA,staring,wet-dog shakes, masticatory movement and clonus of limbs occurred successively. The seizures were paroxysmal with rotation, unsettled state of jump and tic of limbs. The rats' behavior gradually recovered to normal after 10 hours. Then the spontaneous seizure(mostly rating 2~4)occurred 1~3 times every week.Cluster electric discharge, spike waves and sharp waves were recorded in cerebral cortex.KA-treated rats could result in hippocampal CA1 and CA3 fields neuronal degeneration and necrosis, especially significant neuron loss was observed in the CA3 field of KA injected ipsilateral side. Conclusions Injection KA in brain region of rat can establish temporal epilepsy model. The symptom, electrophysiology and pathological changes of temporal lobe epilepsy in the rat model are almost the same as those in human being. The KA induced rat model is an ideal tool to research human temporal lobe epilepsy.

Objective To investigate the effects of tea polyphenol on oligodendrocyte(OLG) in the cerebral ischemic rats. Methods Male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham-operated group, control group and tea polyphenol group. The models of whole-brain ischemia were established . Then the rats of tea polyphenol group were divided another 3 groups and injected intraperitoneally with tea polyphenol at diffenrent dose (25 mg/kg, 50 mg/kg, 100 mg/kg, respectively) once a day for seven days . The expressions of precursor OLG cells, pedo-OLG cells and mature OLG cells in the cortex were examined by immunohistochemistry and the positive cells were counted. Results Compared with sham-operated group, the number of precursor OLG cells increased and the number of pedo-OLG cells and mature OLG cells decreased significantly in the control group (all P

Objective To explore the expression of Gamma-aminobutyric acid B recepter (GABABR) subunits mRNA and the effects of its agonist Baclofen in hippocampus after KA induced seizures,of experimental epileptic rats. Methods The GABABR subunits GAR1a及GAR2 mRNAs expression were determined in hippocampus of each experimental group after epileptic seizure and Baclofen interference by hybridization in situ. Results In early(6~12 h) time of KA induced epileptic rats, the mRNA levels of both receptor subunits in hippocampal formation were found downregulation widespreadly (all P

Journal of Clinical Neurology 1992;0(01):-
Objective To study the effect of astrocyte-derived factors on the differentiation of neural stem cells from neonatal rats. Methods Neural stem cells from neonatal rats were isolated, cultured and expanded by neurosphere formation. Astrocytes were isolated and purified by a standard shaking method and the differential adhesion technique. With immunocytochemical labeling, the purity of astrocytes was determined by the expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP). Astrocytes and neural stem cells were co-cultured without contact. Immunofluorescence examination was used to detect the effects of astrocyte-derived factors on the expression of neuron specific enolase (NSE), GFAP, and tyrosine hydroxylase(TH) of the differentiated cells. Results The purified astrocytes were 98% of GFAP positive. Co-culturing the neurospheres with astrocytes promoted more neural stem cells rapidly differentiationinto NSE positive cells( P

Objective To explore a therapeutic method for repairing the avulsion injury of total hand skin. Methods Bilateral chest navel flaps with nerves were used to repair the avulsion injury of total hand skin. Two nerves of the right lateral flap were anastomosed with the first and third common palmar digital nerves respectively; two nerves of the left lateral flap were anastomosed with the dorsum manus of ulnar nerve and cutaneous branch of radial nerve respectively. Results Postoperative follow up of 12 to 15 months showed that two cases were successful. The injured hands regained thalposis and thigmesthesia; the ulnar hand had sensitive thigmesthesia when touching a table; and the grasping function of the hand recovered partially. Conclusion Bilateral chest navel flaps with nerves are recommendable to all kinds of hospitals for repairing the avulsion injury of total hand skin.
