Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2021;30(2):187-192
Non-suicidal self-injury is common in adolescents. At present, the pathological mechanism of non-suicidal self-injury is still unclear, and there is a lack of objective biological markers in diagnosis and treatment, which is an urgent problem to be solved in clinical diagnosis and treatment. The magnetic resonance imaging is an important technique to explore the imaging mechanism of non-suicidal self-injury. The purpose of this review is to systematic evaluation of the latest research results of magnetic resonance imaging of non-suicidal self-injury. It was found that non-suicidal self-injury in people without other mental disorders showed abnormal damage in the orbitofrontal, the dorsolateral prefrontal lobe, the medial prefrontal lobe, the ventrolateral prefrontal lobe, the amygdala, the cingulate gyrus, the supramarginal gyrus, the amygdala, the hippocampus, the insular, the corpus callosum, the thalamus, the putamen, the dorsal striatum, the cuneate prefrontal lobe and the right temporal lobe. These areas are the core areas related to emotional processing, decision-making, cognition and movement. Non-suicidal self-injury with other mental disorders such as borderline personality disorder and depression may be affected by underlying diseases and exhibit different damage patterns, which showing abnormal brain regions related to emotional network, decision-making, social cognition and exercise. The results of this review can be helpful for the future study of the magnetic resonance imaging mechanism of non-suicidal self-injury.

BACKGROUND:Health has been paid more and more attention in modern society, the health of those special groups, such as the elderly and the disabled, should also be brought to the forefront. As fitness equipment is more and more popular in contemporary, our focus should be transferred to the use of fitness equipment for these special groups.
OBJECTIVE:To put forward the design strategy of fitness equipment control interface, for the special groups to use common fitness equipment comfortably and conveniently.
METHODS:Based on the research of existing fitness equipment control interface, according to the usage habits and cognitive awareness of special groups on control interface, a new design strategy has been put forward using the general design method and ergonomics.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Based on the existing 45 kinds of exercise bikes, 84 kinds of running machines and 129 kinds of treadmil fitness equipments, we found that these equipments are designed for common users in the aspects of design and production process and control interface. Universal design is a design concept beyond the lack of capacity to meet the different needs of different populations, and designed products can reduce or even eliminate the difference in the ability of special populations and the general population in use. The new strategy makes design of fitness equipment control interface generalized and good man-machine interactive, which can meet the demand of the special groups and help them do fitness exercise to improve their health and body function.

Objective To explore the characteristics of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) on different scaffolds and to find a new bio-engineered synthetic hybrid scaffold for artificial bio-engineered blood vessels. Methods EPCs were induced from mesenchymal stem cells isolated from rat bone marrow and seeded on ECM scaffold. The surface structure of the scaffold and growth status of EPCs on the scaffold were observed and analysed by electron microscopy. The characteristics and number of those EPCs on different kinds of scaffolds were studied with EPC-specific VWF by immunofluorescence, Western blotting and real-time PCR technique at different time points. Results The cell adhesion rate at 1,3,5 h after seeded on pressed scaffold were higher than that on unpressed scaffolds( P < 0. 01 ). Pressed scaffolds has got a larger cell number( P < 0. 05 )at DIV1, DIV3, DIV7, but there was no significant difference after DIV10. Furthermore, cell shapes of EPCs on pressed scaffolds were more mature and more similar to endothelial cells. A level cell surface on pressed scaffolds was achieved. Western blotting assays revealed EPCs on pressed scaffolds expressed more protein VWF at DIV3, DIV7, DIV10. Real-time PCR results showed EPCs on the two different groups of scaffolds all expressed VWF gene, The quantity of their expression in the two groups were all enhanced after DIV7 (P < 0. 05 ). The quantity of VWF gene expression in the pressed group was much higher than that in the unpressed group at DIV3 ,DIV7,DIV10 (P <0, 01), but there was no significant difference after DIV14. Conclusions Pressed ECM scaffolds can promote adhesion, proliferation and differentiation on EPCs. Pressed scaffolds can be used as the matrix for EPC and fabricated into a novel synthetic tissue bio-engineered vascular scaffold.

BRAF is one of the most important pro-oncogenes, which is mutated in approximately 8% of human tumors. The most common BRAF mutation is a valine-to-glutamate transition (V600E) that is expressed primarily in melanoma, colorectal cancer and thyroid carcinoma. MEK/ERK is constitutively activated in the cells expressing BRAFV600E, leading to tumor development, invasion, and metastasis. Therefore, BRAFV600E is a therapeutic target for melanoma and some other BRAFV600E tumors. Vemurafenib, a BRAFV600E inhibitor, which was approved by FDA for the treatment of late-stage melanoma in 2011, produces improved rates of overall and progression-free survival in patients with the BRAFV600E mutation, making a dramatic breakthrough in melanoma treatment. Vemurafenib is also an individual target drug based on genetic diagnosis. However, its therapeutic success is limited by the emergence of drug resistance. Therefore, it is important to explore the mechanisms underlying the resistance for developing new inhibitor drugs and for preventing or delaying the resistance evolution to BRAF inhibitor drugs. In this review, we described the role of BRAFV600E as an anti-tumor drug target and the development of BRAF inhibitors. We also discussed the mechanisms leading to resistance of BRAFV600E inhibitors. Furthermore, therapeutic strategies that might be employed to overcome acquired resistance were proposed.
