Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
The hair arsenic levels of nonoccupq-tional esposed nornal subjects, aged 20~55 years, were analysed by neutron activation analysis in Shaoguan. The median and geometric mean are 0.121?g/g and 0.118?g/ g respectively. These results are lower than many other reports in China. This paper proposes the 95% upper Limit value of hair arsenic level is 0.320?g/g.

Objective To evaluate the effect of endothelin A receptor antisense oligodeoxynucleotides (ETAR-ASODN)on the growth of human prostatic stromal cells. Methods Primary cultured prostatic stromal cells were derived from patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).The cells of passages 4~6 were routinely used for this study after identification.ETAR-ASODN at the concentrations of 5,10 and 15 ?mol/L were added into the culture cells with lipofectin, and cell proliferation was measured by MTT assay. The expression of ETA receptor was tested by 125 I-ET-1 radioligand banding assay. Results MTT assays showed a significant decrease in cell proliferation in stromal cells after 5,10 and 15?mol/L ETAR-ASODN were added with the A 540 values being 0.304?0.082,0.296?0.008 and 0.194?0.061,respectively.The proliferative activity was significantly decreased compared with control group ( P

Objective To observe the effect of Shengeyifei capsule on the inflammatory mediators in the airway and the pathology of the airway in the rat with chronic obstructive pulmonary diserse (COPD). Methods 60 SD rats were divided randomly into normal group, COPD model group, Jinshuibao control group and Shengeyifei groups. The COPD model was established by smoking and infusing lipopoly- saccharide (LPS). The level of interleukin-8 (IL-8) and tumor necrosis factor ? (TNF-?) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were measured and the pathology of the airway and lung tissue was observed after treatment on the rats. Result The levels of IL-8 and TNF-? in Shengeyifei groups were lower than in COPD model group (P

Chinese Journal of Vaccines and Immunization 2008;0(01):-
Objectives To understand the vaccination situation of left-behind children in rural areas, provide the evidence for developing vaccination strategies for left-behind children. Methods The counties with population over 1,000,000 were selected from Anhui and Sichuan provinces respectively to conduct survery to the children who were born between the year 2003 and 2006,and had registration on vaccination book(card). Results The proportion of left-behind and outflow children are 17.94% and 6.05% respectively. The information about the children’s parents going out most came from village doctors. The proportion of the parents going out after children born was 51.60%,staying outside for more than 10 months was 78.50%. 67.97% pareets came back home during the spring festival,35.43% left-behind children went out with their parents. Conclusion Although the number of outflow children was smaller than the left-behind children,it was easy to develop immunization gap. It is the difficult part of management on EPI to migraut children. The information aboat the children’s parents going out mostly came from village doctors. It is impotant to mobilize the enthusiasm of doctors. It is especially essential that we should propagandize to the people with vaccination knowledge to the pareets came back home during spring festival.

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(05):-
Objective To evaluate the effect of mining waste water on drinking water quality and tumor mortality of villagers. Methods Analyse quality of drinking water sampled from well which only supply water to a family which the well belongs to and survey the death reasons of whole population in the polluted area and the control area. Results Mining waste water discharged by a mine contaminated the nearby river and impacted the drinking water quality of the nearby village also. Compared with the control, the concentration of lead, arsenic and mercury in drinking water of polluted area was much higher. The 5,year total mortality in polluted area and in the control was 3.09% and 1.55% respectively. Tumor mortality in polluted area was 50%, esophagus cancer mortality was 54.24%. Tumor mortality in the control area was 20% only and most tumors were liver cancer. Conclusion The adverse effect of mining waste water on drinking water quality and human health in polluted area has been seen.

Objective To investigate the white matter microstructural changes of cingulation and congni-tive function impairment in patient with major depression. Methods 25 middle-aged first episode patients and 24 nondepressed comparison participants were enrolled, and all the subjects scanned by diffusion tensor imaging and tested by Wisconsin Card Sorting Test. Correlation analysis was done respectively for both two groups with FA and WCST items. Results Male patients with depression decreased FA in the middle frontal lobe ( - 29 24 32,16 voxels),the left superior temporal lobe (-36 -34 16,11 voxels),the sub-gyral of temporal lobe ( -45 1 - 15/ - 47 - 6 - 9; 16/10 voxels) and the right lobe of cingulate (18 - 2 29,22 voxels). And the female patients with depression shows reduced FA in the inferior frontal lobe ( -42 23 4/45 24 6; 15/21 voxels) ,the left precentral gy-rus (39 -44 -15,17 voxels) ,the right medial frontal gyrus (6 16 -18; 10 voxels) ,the left superior temporal lobe ( -55 -31 15; 89 voxels) ,the sub-gyral of temporal lobe ( -38 - 12 - 19;12 voxels) and the right anterior cingulate gyrus (71 26 -9; 15 voxels) (P<0.001 ,cluster > 10 voxels). The Regions of interests analyze with cingulate only found reduced FA in the right lobe of female group(0.26 ±0.05,0.33 ±0.08; P=0.03). Correlation were found between the right anterior cingulate and Rpe (r= -0.49, P = 0. 03) ,the right middle cingulate and Rpe (r= -0.56, P = 0. 01) in depressed patients. No significant association were found in healthy control group(P> 0.05). Conclusion Cingulate white matter fiber is abnormal in first episode depression and these abnormalities may be one of the pathophysiology of major depression.

Objective To explore the characteristic differences of the fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (fALFF) feature of the spoutaneous neural activity between young male unipolar depression and bipolar depression patients, and determine the biological markers to distinguish the two disorders. Methods Twelve male unipolar depression,12 bipolar depression patients and 11 age and educated-matched healthy males underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging scanning at 3.0 Tesla. The whole brain' s fALFF were calculated and analyzed. Results The differences of the fALFF of the three groups had significant differences (P<0.01,Alphasim) in the right orbital medial frontal gyrus (6,33,-9;K =29),the left medial frontal gyrus (-6,60,3;K =44) and the left paracentral lobule (-3,-27,5 1;K =20).The unipolar depression subjects had significantly higher fALFF compared with heahhy controls in the left anterior cingulate gyrus. The bipolar depression subjects had significantly higher fALFF compared with healthy controls in the bilateral medial frontal gyrus and the left middle cingulate gyrus. And the unipolar depression subjects had significantly lower fALFF compared with bipolar depression ones in the right orbital medial frontal gyrus, the right anterior cingulate gyrus and the bilateral medial frontal ~rus(all P<0.05).Conclusions Abnormalities exist in the brain regions in male with unipolar or bipolar depression patients in the resting state, and the abnormal regions are different.
