Differentiating bipolar disorder (BD) from unipolar depression (UD) is an important clinical challenge.Review the development of Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI) in distinguishing the BD and UD, identifying objective markers of BD, to optimize clinical decision making.Database including PubMed,Wan Fang,CNKI and so on.The key words were usedunipolar depressionormajor depressive depression,bipolar depression,MRI,modeland so on.A little neuroimaging studies to date have directly compared UD and BD depressions.Most results from these studies suggest more heavy neural circuit abnormalities in BD than UD depression,involved in different brain regions.Predictive models based on neu-roimaging characteristics of BD and UD obtain a higher accuracy and can help differentiate BD from UD.This review serves as a call to highlight the need for more neuroimaging studies to compare individuals with BD depression with individuals with UD depression directly.Using neuroimaging results as objective biological i-dentification markers is a feasible research field.

Objective To identify and purify the allergens of Tyrophagus putrescentiae. Methods Tyrophagus putrescentiae extract was analyzed by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting, and was partially purified by DE52 anion-exchange chromatography and HiLoad 16, 60 Superdex 200 prep grade Size-exclusion chromatography. Results 23 bands were found after SDS-PAGE with comparative molecular weight (Mr) of 177 000, 118 000, 107 000, 70 000, 67 000, 60 000, 52 000, 45 000, 41 000, 40 000, 38 000, 37 000, 35 000, 27 000, 23 000, 22 000, 18 000, 17 000, 16 000, 15 000, 14 000, 13 00 and 12 000. Five allergens were detected by Western blotting with Mr 128 000, 67 000-70 000, 36 000-37 000, 18 000 and 16 000, respectively. The positive reaction rate of 3 allergens, with Mr 128 000, 67 000-70 000 and 36 000-37 000, were 100%, while that of other 2 allergens with Mr 18 000 and 16 000 was 77.8% and 44.4% respectively。The allergen with Mr 18 000 was purified by anion-exchange chromatography and Size-exclusion chromatography. Conclusion Four major allergens and one minor allergen from Tyrophagus putrescentiae have been identified.

Objective To observe the effects of ischemic preconditioning of hindlimb (HIP) on the expressions of heat shock protein70 (HSP70) in spinal cord of rats after spinal cord injury (SCI). MethodSprague Dawleys rats were randomly( random number) divided into three groups (20 rats in each group).In sham injury group, rats received laminectomy without SCI; while in the SCI group, rats received traumatic SCI. In HIP group, rats received HIP 8 h before SCI. The SCI animal models were made by using modified Allen's weight-drop device (50 g·cm) on L3-L4 vertebrae. HIP was induced by compressing the two lower limbs of rats alternately with a tourniquet for three cycles of ten-minute ischaemia followed by ten-minute reperfusion. Rats were sacrificed 24 h and 48 h after injury separately. The protein and mRNA of HSP70 of involved spinal cord segments were determined by using RT-PCR, hybridization in situ and immunohistochemistry. Results There was weak expression of HSP70 mRNA in rats of sham injury group, and sporadic positive cells in spinal tissue were found by using immunohistochemistry. The expressions of HSP70 mRNA 24 h and48 hours after SCI in HIP group[(22.18±3.69) and (14.15 ±4.18)] were higher than those in SCI group[(13.97±4.46) and ( 8.73 ± 3.55 )], and the differences were statistically significant (F=16.06, P = 0.005 and F = 7.43, P = 0. 028). The protein levels of HSP70 24 h and 48 hours after SCI in HIP group [(16.71±4.02) and (9.85±2.20)] were higher than those in SCI group [( 14.85 ± 3.73)and (8.78 ±2.05)], and the differences were statistically significant (F =90. 13, P =0.032 and F=34.70, P = 0. 036). Conclusions HIP can increase the transcription and expression of HSP70 in spinal cord of rats following SCI and may have the protective effects on neural tissue.

The quail model of hyperuricemia combined with abdominal obesity was induced by high purine diet.Body weight in model group showed no change.Serum uric acid level in model group was increased significantly on 7,14,21,and 28 d( P＜0.05 or P＜0.01 ).Abdominal fat index in model group increased significantly on 28d.On 7 d and 28 d,serum free fatty acid level was increased significantly.Acetyl-CoA carboxylase( ACC ) protein expression in the liver of model quail was increased as shown by ELISA and immunohistochemisty ( P＜0.05 or P＜0.01 ),suggesting that the alteration of ACC expression contributes to the pathogenesis of hyperuricemia combined with abdominal obesity.

Objective To investigate the effect of sevoflurane preconditioning on lung injury induced by limb ischemia-reperfusion in rats and the relationship with endoplasmic reticulum stress.Methods Forty-five healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats,aged 6-8 weeks,weighing 250-300 g,were randomly allocated into 3 groups (n =15 each) using a random number table:sham operation group (group S),limb ischemia-reperfusion group (group LIR),and sevoflurane preconditioning group (group SP).Limb ischemia-reperfusion was induced by clamping bilateral femoral arteries for 3 h followed by 3 h reperfusion in LIR and SP groups.In group SP,2.5％ sevoflurane was inhaled for 30 min,and 15 min later the model was established.Before ischemia and at 3 h of reperfusion (at the corresponding time point in group S),arterial blood samples were collected for blood gas analysis,and arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO2) and arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure (PaCO2) were recorded.The rats were sacrificed at 3 h of reperfusion,and lung specimens were obtained for determination of wet to dry lung weight ratio (W/D ratio) and total lung water content (TLW) and for microscopic examination of the pathological changes,and index of quantitative evaluation for alveolar damage (IQA) was calculated.The expression of glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) and CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein homologous protein (CHOP) protein and mRNA in lung tissues was detected by Western blot and real-time polymerase chain reaction,respectively.Results Compared to group S,the PaO2was significantly decreased at 3 h of reperfusion,the W/D ratio,TLW and IQA were significantly increased,the expression of GRP78 and CHOP protein and mRNA was significantly up-regulated (P＜0.05),and no significant change was found in PaCO2 in group LIR (P＞0.05).Compared to group LIR,the PaO2 was significantly increased at 3 h of reperfusion,the W/D ratio,TLW and IQA were significantly decreased,the expression of GRP78 and CHOP protein and mRNA was significantly down-regulated (P＜ 0.05),and no significant change was found in PaCO2 in group SP (P＞0.05).Conclusion Sevoflurane preconditioning can ameliorate lung injury induced by limb ischemia-reperfusion in the rats,and the mechanism is related to inhibition of endoplasmic reticulum stress.

Objective To evaluate the effect of combined laparoscopic and endoscopic treatment for cholelith of gallbladder and common bile duct(CBD).Methods Diagnosis was established in 44 patients by ERCP , and endoscopic Oddi′s sphincteromy (EST) was performed in all patients, then choledocholith was removed by endoscopic netbasket and balloon. 3～5 days after laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC) was carried out. Results The success rate of combined treatment in this study was 98%(43/44), and stones were removed in 100%(44/44). There was no conversion to open surgery in our series, and no severe complications. All patients were discharged in 5～15 days postoperatively. Conclusions Combined laparoscopic and endoscopic procedure is a safe and effctive method to treat patients suffering from cholelith of the gallbladder and CBD.

Objective To compare the clinical outcomes of CABG and PCI with drug-eluting stent(DES)in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease and CKD.Methods Between January 2004 and June 2006,1,069 patients with multivessel coronary disease and CKD undergoing PCI with drug-eluting stent(DES)(n=724)or CABG(n=345)were evaluated.CKD was defined as estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)
