Many studies have shown that high myopia is strongly hnked with glaucoma.Besides,due to its own characteristics of longer axial length,deeper anterior chamber depth and wider chamber angle width,high myopia is often more likely to develop a complication of primary open-angle glaucoma.However,the early fundus changes induced by glaucoma might be concealed by the fundus changes induced by high degree myopia because the latter itself could also induce a series of fundus changes.As a consequence,a deep understanding of the clinical features and diagnosis of high myopia with primary open-angle glaucoma is particularly essential in making early diagnosis as well as reducing missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis.This article summarizes the clinical features of high myopia with primary open-angle glaucoma to enhance understanding of such diseases and provide a basis for the early diagnosis of the diseases.

Adipose tissue is the largest pool of free cholesterol in the body and performs "buffer" function for circulating cholesterol metabolism. Cholesterol metabolism in adipocytes is closely associated with triglyceride storage. Cholesterol might serve as an intracellular signal moleculer of the adipocyte energy store and mediate some metabolic dysfunctions of enlarged adipocytes.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of histopathological changes of osteoarthritic cartilage. Methods The specimens of patellar articular cartilages from 31 knees of 29 patients with osteoarthritis and 2 knees of 2 young adults were studied under transmission electron microscope (TEM) and immunohistochemistry. The ultramicroscopic changes of patellar cartilage and the expression of type Ⅱ collagen in the extracellular matrix were analyzed. Results In Stage Ⅰ, the immunohistochemical staining of type Ⅱcollagen enhanced in all layers of articular cartilage, especially in the superficial layer, the staining was positive, particularly at the peripheral area of chondrocytes. TEM showed broken collagen fibrous networks, more lipid droplets, glycogen and vacuoles in cytoplasm, organelles swelling and increasing. In Stage Ⅱ, the immunohistochemical staining of type Ⅱcollagen increased in the superficial and middle layer of articular cartilage, especially in the chondrocytes around fissures; it was also positive in extracellular matrix, besides, there was irregular nucleus, chromatin concentration and organelles decreasing. In StageⅡ, severe disordered arrangement of collagen fibers, macrolipid droplets and a great number of vacuoles appearing in cytoplasm. In Stage Ⅲ the nuclear pycnosis, cells breaking into numerous fatty debris and forming a micro-scar or an empty lacuna. Objective Compared with surgical operation,to investigate the clinical efficacy and advantages of interventional treatment in blunt liver traum.Methods 32 patients from July 2010 to October 2012,who were diagnosed as blunt liver trauma,received super selective hepatic artery embolization in Chinese People's Liberation Army in 98th Hospital.Another 27 ones received operation at the same time in Peolies's Liberation Army 98th (AAST grade Ⅱ to Ⅳ).Retrospective analysis of related cases was presented.The results were analyzed by t test.Results All of 32 patients that received super selective hepatic artery embolization were stanched bleeding successfully.All patients were followed up for 3 to 18 months,the mean follow-up time was 10 months,with no severe complications occurred or no lost cases.Conclusions Compared with surgical operation,interventional treatment had advantage that included eliable hemostasis,less operation time,minimally invasive and less hospitalization time.Interventional treatment had good effects on blunt liver trauma which were AAST grade Ⅱ to Ⅲ.

Objective To study the effect of different processing methods on paeoniflorin content and to provide a basis for stabilizing the processing technology of white peony root.Methods RP-HPLC method was used to determine the content of paeoniflorin on Agilent Eclipse XDB-C18(150 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m),with mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.1% phosphoric acid(14∶86),flow rate of 1.0 mL/min,column temperature of 25 ℃,and detective wavelength of 230 nm.Results The average recovery rate was 99.195%,RSD=0.8%(n=6).The content of paeoniflorin was 0.55%,2.70%,3.40%,3.25%,respectively.Conclusion In the processing of white peony root,heating,water immersion and sulfur smoked have greater effect of paeoniflorin content in white peony root.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the application situation of antibacterials in surgical departments of a hospital so as to provide epidemiological evidence for further standardized administration of antibiotics. METHODS:900 medical records during 2005～2007 were randomly collected from surgical departments for meta-analysis with regard to the rate of patients receiving antibacterials,rationality and the cause of irrational use of antibiotics,etc. RESULTS:97.4% of the patients received antibiotics,and the rate of preventive medication which accounted for 82.8% showed an upward trend year by year. The irrationality was more serious in preventive medication than in treatment medication,with the rate of irrational use being 98.9%. CONCLUSION:Irrational drug use in surgical departments of this hospital is widespread and serious,and there are many problems needed to be solved urgently.

[Objective]To evaluate the efficacy of Shenmai injection combined with psychotherapy in chemotherapy of non-small cell lung cancer.[Method]79 cases of advanced non-small cell lung cancer were randomly divided into two groups,40 cases in observation group with Shenmai injection combined with chemotherapy and psychotherapy,39 cases in control group with chemotherapy alone.The Karnofsky scores,therapeutic efficacy,one year survival rate and incidence of myelosuppression were evaluated.[Result] The two groups were significantly different in Karnofsky scores,therapeutic efficacy and one year survival rate.The improvement and stability rate of Karnofsky scores and that of therapeutic efficacy were 75.0% and 70.0% in observation group,with 46.2% and 46.2% in control group,respectively.One year survival rate was 47.5% in observation group and 25.6% in control group,respectively.The incidence of myelosuppression had significant differences in the two groups,with grade 2～4 leucopenia 32.5% in observation group and 53.8% in control group(P=0.032),with grade 2～3 thrombocytopenia 30.0% in observation group and 46.2% in control group(P=0.032).[Conclusion] Combination treatment in observation group was superior to the treatment in control group,with a higher Karnofsky scores,more effective therapy,a higher one year survival rate and a lower incidence of myelosuppression.The treatment of Shenmai injection combind with chemotherapy could reduce toxicity and enhance therapeutic efficacy.

Objective Hypercellularity in proliferan've glomerulonephritis can result from either increased proliferation or the failure of cells to undergo apoptosis in response to stimuli. Increasing evidence supports that alterations in the control of cell survival are important in the pathogenesis of proliferative glomerulonephritis. Methods Apoptotic cells in the glomeruli have been analyzed by the in situ end labeling (ISEL) of TdT from patients diagnosed with membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (MPGN, n = 12), type IV lupus nephritis (LN, n = 15) and acute postinfectious glomerulonephritis (APGN, n = 13) in the present study. In addition, the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA)-positive proliferating glomerular cells were observed by immunochemical 4 layer PAP method in these patients. Results The ratio of proliferating and apoptotic cells was the highest one in patients with MPGN (3.91) as compared to APGN (1.28) and LN(1 .02). The extends of increasing apoptotic cells in the glomeruli were different among patients with MPGN,, APGN and LN, although all of them showed extremely glomerular hypercellularity. The number of apoptotic glomemlar cells was significantly higher in patients with APGN (1.16?0.35) than those with MPGN (0.12?0.16) as well as LN patients (0.35 ? 0.20). Conclusion Apoptosis is essential in the resolution of glomerular cellularity together with the remodeling processes. Intense proliferations without increment in apoptosis are the characterisitics of MPGN and LN associated with their renal histological changes and prognosis.

Objective To observe the effects of fenofibrate on the expression of scavenger receptor class B type I(SRBI) in adipose tissue and adipocytes of hypercholesterolemia rabbits.Methods Ten male New Zealand white rabbits were fed with high cholesterol diet for 8 weeks,and were randomly divided into two groups: high cholesterol group and treatment group.The rabbits in the high cholesterol group were maintained cholesterol diet for 4 weeks and those of the treatment group were fed with the same cholesterol diet supplemented with fenofibrate(30 mg/kg/day) for 4 weeks.Five rabbits in control group were fed with normal diet for 12 weeks.Subcutaneous adipose was collected for adipocytes culture.The expressions of SRBI mRNA in adipose tissue and adipocytes were evaluated by semi-quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results The serum levels of total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol were significantly higher in the high cholesterol group and treatment group than those of the control group(P0.05).The expressions of SRBI mRNA in adipose tissue and adipocytes were up-regulated in high cholesterol group compared with those of control group(P
