1.Release in-vitro of panax notoginoside micro-porous osmotic pump tablets

AIM:To study release rate in-vitro of the panax notoginoside micro-porous osmotic pump(MPOP) tablets.METHODS:To investigate the effects of different dissolution methods,paddle stirring rate and dissolved mediums on the release rate in-vitro of the panax notoginoside MPOP tablets.RESULTS:The delivery rate was not influenced by the dissolution methods,paddle stirring rate and when the pH of dissolution medium was between(3.5)-7.6,the delivery rate was not influenced,too.However,when the pH of dissolved medium was at 1.0,the release rate was decreased severely.CONCLUSION:Panax notoginoside MPOP tablets have a stable release curve except for in the condition of the acid dissolved medium.
2.Simultaneous determination of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid by RP-HPLC in the leaves of Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.

Oleanolic acid (OA) and ursolic acid (UA) are isomeric triterpenic acids and only one methyl's position is different between them.OA and UA always exist in the same plant,so it is difficult to separate them when determining contents by RP-HPLC.In this study,a very simple mobile phase for HPLC was developed to simultaneously determine UA and OA,and the factors affecting separation were also discussed.The mobile phase is methanol:water (95∶5) with flow rate 0.4mL/min.The retention time for OA and UA was 20.58 and 21.57 min,respectively,the resolution was 1.61.The average contents of OA and UA of three Loquat leaves sets were 1.4 mg/g and 5.6 mg/g,respectively.Regarding the HPLC,we found that changing mobile phase,adjusting the pH value or adding ion-pairing agent could not affect the separation between UA and OA greatly.While adjustment of the flow rate and column temperature could improve the resolution greatly.
3.Exploration and Practice of the Reform of Pharmacochemistry Experiment Teaching for Pharmacy Major in Our School

OBJECTIVE:To improve the level of pharmaceutical experiment teaching for pharmacy major. METHODS:The ex-periment teaching of pharmacochemistry for pharmacy major in our school was taken as a pilot,and the teaching contents,teach-ing methods and appraisal system were explored. RESULTS:The teaching contents of“designing experiment”of pharmacochemis-try for pharmacy major in our school were added,multimedia teaching mode was introduced and scientific and comprehensive as-sessment mode was established. CONCLUSIONS:The reform of experiment teaching has cultivated the independent thinking and creative ability of students,improved enthusiasm and initiative,achieved good teaching quality and promoted the improvement of professional quality of teaching staff.
4.Influence factors of the release rate of benorilate from sustained-release matrix tablets

Objective To study the influence factors of the release rate of benorilate from sustained release matrix tablets. Methods The matrix tablets of benorilate were prepared by using hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) as the matrix material. The effects of the contents of HPMC, polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), and microcrystaline cellulose (MCC), and the method of preparation on in vitro drug release were studied by evaluating the n value in the Peppas equation. Results The increasing HPMC content led to decrease of benorilate release. However, PVP and MCC used in this experiment accelerated the benorilate release from the tablets. The drug released from the tablet prepared by dry method was faster than that by wet method. Conclusion The contents of HPMC, PVP, and MCC, especially HPMC, have effects on the release rate of benorilate, but the two preparation methods have less effect.
