Objective To observe the expressions of microRNA-126 (miR-126) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in gastric carcinoma tissues,and their associations with clinicopathologic features in gastric carcinoma.Methods Fifty cases of gastric carcinoma and matched tumor adjacent tissue specimens were collected from January 2012 to March 2014 in Shangqiu First People's Hospital of He' nan Province.Expression levels of miR-126 and VEGF were examined using reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction.Their correlations and the relationships between them and the clinicopathologic features in gastric carcinoma were analyzed.Results The expression levels of miR-126 in the tumor tissues and in the adjacent tissues were 0.652 ± 0.102 and 0.379 ± 0.069,and the expression levels of VEGF in the two kinds of tissues were 1.523 ± 0.142 and 0.604 ± 0.152,with statistical differences (t =8.374,P =0.001;t =29.508,P =0.000).The expressions of miR-126 and VEGF were significantly positively correlated (r =0.735,P =0.001).The expressions of miR-126 and VEGF were associated with TNM stage (t =22.981,P =0.001;t =18.053,P =0.001),depth of tumor invasion (t =26.792,P =0.001;t =20.234,P =0.001) and tumor node metastasis (t=26.668,P=0.001;t=14.857,P=0.001).Conclusion miR-126 is high expressed in the gastric carcinoma tissue,which may up-regulate the expression of VEGF,and lead to the formation of new blood vessels,then to promote gastric carcinogenesis and the development process.

Objective To investigate the protective effect of mild hypothermia on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats and the effect of mild hypothermia on the expression of inhibitor of differentiation 2 (Id2) protein.Methods A total of 72 adult male rats were randomly divided into a sham operation group,a normothermia group,and a mild hypothermia group.A model of middle cerebral artery occlusion was induced by a suture method.The mild hypothermia group was treated with low temperature (anal temperature 33±1 ℃,tympanic membrane temperature 31±1 ℃).Modified Neurological Severity Score (mNSS) was used to evaluate neurological deficits,triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining was used to detect infarct volume,and Western blot was used to detect the Id2 expression in the ischemic cortex at ischemia-reperfusion 6,12,24,and 72 h,respectively.ResultsThe mNSS scores in the mild hypothermia group were significantly lower than those in the normothermia group,the infarct volumes were significantly smaller than those in the normothermia group at ischemia-reperfusion 6,12,24,and 72 h (all P<0.001).Western blot analysis showed that the Id2 expressions in the ischemic cortex in the mild hypothermia group were significantly lower than those in the normothermia group at ischemia-reperfusion 6,12,24,and 72 h (all P<0.05).Conclusion s Mild hypothermia can decrease neurological deficits and reduce infarct volume after cerebral ischemia-reperfusion,its mechanism may be associated with the down-regulation of the Id2 expression.

Objective To develop and test a stressor scale for in-patients with spinal cord injury (SSIPSCI). Methods Based on in-depth interviews and the second-level International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) categories, a 39-item SSIPSCI was generated and pilot tested. It was then used with 284 inpatients with spinal cord injury. Principal components factor analysis and correlation analysis were performed.Results The exploratory components factor analysis revealed 7 significant stress factors: social activity, economy security, individual activity, relationship with others, physical disorders, bowel and bladder problems and medical fees. Internal consistency was high, with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0. 950 overall and 0. 741 ～ 0. 920 for the individual factors. Test-retest reliability was 0.848. The correlation between SSIPSCI scores and Beck depression inventory (BDI) scores was strong ( r = 0. 665 ). Conclusions The reliability and validity of the SSIPSCI are both satisfactory enough to meet psychometric requirements.

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Xingnaojing injection combined with naloxone in the treatment of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy.Methods 62 patients with hypoxia ischemia encephalopathy were randomly assigned into the control group(31 cases)and the treatment group(31 cases).The control group used naloxone treatment on the basis of the conventional treatment.The treatment group received Xingnaojing injection combined with naloxone treatment on the basis of routine treatment.The changes in different time of Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS) scores of the two groups after treatment were compared.Results After treatment for 1 ,5,1 0,1 5d,the GCS scores in the control group were (5.27 ±0.87)points,(9.03 ±0.72)points,(1 0.03 ±0.72)points,(1 3.03 ±0.72)points respectively,which in the treatment group were (5.1 4 ±1 .03)points,(9.24 ±1 .06)points,(1 3.31 ±2.83)points, (15.31 ±0.93)points.The differences of GCS scores after treatment for 15,10d between the two groups were statistically significant(t =1 5.1 1 3,1 0.501 ,P =0.00,0.00).In the control group,the total effective rate was 50.0%,which of the treatment group was 82.7%,the total effective rate between the two groups had statistically significant difference (χ2 =6.437,P <0.05).Conclusion On the basis of routine treatment,Xingnaojing injection combined with naloxone in the treatment of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy has better effect than the single use of naloxone treatment.

Objective To study the characteristic findings on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in children with cerebral palsy (CP) induced by chronic kernicterus.Methods The MR imagings in 13 CP cases induced by chronic kernicterus were retrospectively studied, which were compared with 6 healthy and age-matched controls. 13 cases were finally diagnosed as dyskinetic cerebral palsy (athetoid subtype).Results In 13 cases, all showed symmetric high signals in the the globus pallidus on T2-weighted imaging. There were not apparent abnormality on T1-weighted imaging.Conclusion The bilateral high intensity signals in the globus pallidus on T2-weighted imaging are the characteristic findings on MRI in CP children induced by chronic kernicterus. Paying attention to the globus pallidus on MRI may be useful in determining the type of cerebral palsy.

Aim To investigate the mechanism for the inhibitory effect of hydrogen sulfide on the expression of tissue factor(TF)induced by oxidative low-density lipoprotein(ox-LDL)in endothelial cells.Methods Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs ) were treated with 50 mg·L-1 ox-LDL in the absence or presence of different concentrations of NaHS (25 , 50,100 and 200 μmol·L-1 )for 24 h.The mRNA expression and protein content of TF in HUVECs were determined by reverse transcription PCR and ELISA, respectively.The content of intracellular reactive oxy-gen species (ROS)was determined by DCFH,an oxi-dative sensitive fluorescent indicator.The activation of nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-κB)was estimated by its expression in nuclear extracts analyzed by Western blot.Results Ox-LDL induced TF mRNA expression and increased TF protein content in HUVECs.The in-crease in intracellular ROS production and the activa-tion of NF-κB were observed in HUVECs treated with ox-LDL.However,NaHS could markedly inhibit the increases in TF mRNA and protein levels induced by ox-LDL.Also the elevation of intracellular ROS pro-duction and the activation of NF-κB elicited by ox-LDL were significantly suppressed by pretreatment with NaHS.In addition,pretreatment with BAY 1 1-7082 (10 μmol·L-1 ),the inhibitor of NF-κB or N-acetyl-L-cysteine(1 mmol·L-1 ),an antioxidant,could also decrease the TF mRNA and protein level as well as ROS production and NF-κB activation induced by ox-LDL in HUVECs,similar to the effects of 200 μmol· L-1 NaHS.Conclusion The mechanism for the in-hibitory effect of H2 S on the ox-LDL- induced TF ex-pression in endothelial cells may be related to inhibi-ting intracellular ROS production and subsequently NF-κB activation.

Mucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinoma of the kidney is a rare subtype of renal carcinoma. In July 2019, one case of mucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinoma of the kidney was admitted to our hospital, The laparoscopic partial nephrectomy was performed, and there was no recurrence or metastasis during the follow-up period of 13 months. The disease has no obvious clinical manifestations and its diagnosis depends on pathological and immunohistochemical features. Surgical treatment is the main treatment for this disease, and most patients have a good prognosis.Howerer, the possibility of progression remains in the late stage of the disease.

Objective: To compare the treatment effect of surgical clipping and endovascular coil embolization for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) in the elderly. Methods: Elderly patients with aSAH (aged >65 years) treated in Shanghai Pudong Hospital from January 2009 to December 2017 were enrolled retrospectively. They were divided into craniotomy clipping group and endovascular intervention group according to the treatment strategy. The Glasgow Outcome Scale was used for short-term outcome assessment at discharge, 4-5 were defined as good outcome, and 1-3 were defined as poor outcome. Long-term follow-up was performed to assess clinical outcomes using the modified Rankin Scale, 0-2 was defined as good outcome and 3-6 were defined as poor outcome. The clinical and imaging information, perioperative complications, short-term and long-term clinical outcomes, and long-term imaging outcomes were compared between the two groups. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to assess the independent influencing factors of clinical outcomes. Results: A total of 68 elderly patients with aSAH were enrolled. Of these, 47 (69.1%) received endovascular coil embolization and 21 (30.9%) underwent microsurgical clipping. There were no significant differences between the two groups in the incidence of perioperative complications, short-term and long-term adverse outcomes, and imaging recurrence rate. Multivariate logistic analysis showed that smoking (odds ratio [OR] 36.319, 95% confidence interval [CI] 3.530-373.640; P=0.003), modified Fisher grade (OR 20.406, 95% CI 2.022-205.964; P=0.011) and World Federation of Neurological Societies (WFNS) grade (OR 4.686, 95% CI 1.012-21.692; P=0.048) were the independent risk factors for short-term poor outcomes in elderly patients with aSAH. Conclusion Both endovascular intervention and microsurgical clipping are safe and effective treatments for elderly patients with aSAH.

Objective: To analyze the association between physical activity and screen time with overweight and obesity in preschool children, and to provide evidence for childhood obesity prevention and control. Methods: Using a case control study design, 109 overweight or obese children (the case group) were recruited from four kindergartens from a community of Chaoyang District, Beijing, and 117 children with normal weight in the same kindergarten (the control group) were recruited as control. Gender and age were matched between the case and the control group. Univariate analysis was used to compare the demographics, physical activity time, screen time, sleep and diet characteristics between the two groups. Logistic regression was used to analyze the association of physical activity and screen time with overweight and obesity in preschool children with adjustment for covariates. Results: After adjusting for age, gender, average daily sleep time, the total score of Children s Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ), Chinese diet balance index for preschool children (DBI-C), children with <3 h of daily physical activity had an increased risk of overweight and obesity compared with those with ≥3 h of physical activity ( OR=2.55,95%CI=1.16-5.64，P =0.02), and the risk of overweight and obesity increased with each additional quartile of daily screen time in children ( OR=2.44,95%CI=1.69-3.52, P <0.01). Conclusion Insufficient physical activity and excessive screen time are independent risk factors of overweight and obesity in preschool children. Comprehensive intervention measures should be taken to effectively increase physical activity and reduce screen time for overweight and obesity prevention and control in preschool children.

This paper is to establish a three-dimensional finite element model (3D-FEM) of pelvic floor levator ani muscles in an old healthy women. We acquired the image data of the pelvic bones and pelvic floor muscles from CT and MRI scanning in a non-pregnant old healthy female volunteers. The 3-D reconstruction and mesh optimization of the whole pelvic bones and muscles with application of image processing software Mimics12.0 and Geomagic9.0 were obtained. Then we built the 3D-FEM of the musculoskeletal system of the pelvic bones and levator ani muscles with Ansys11.0 software. We obtained an accurate 3D-FEM of pelvic bones and levator ani muscles in the older healthy woman. The results showed that it was reliable to build 3D-FEM with CT and MRI scanning data and this model could vividly reflect the huge space anatomy of the real pelvic floor levator ani muscles. It avoids the defects to gain the model from the body of anatomical specimens in the past. The image data of model are closer to vivisection, and the model is more conducive to the latter finite element analysis.
