Objective To develop and test a stressor scale for in-patients with spinal cord injury (SSIPSCI). Methods Based on in-depth interviews and the second-level International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) categories, a 39-item SSIPSCI was generated and pilot tested. It was then used with 284 inpatients with spinal cord injury. Principal components factor analysis and correlation analysis were performed. Results The exploratory components factor analysis revealed 7 significant stress factors: social activity, economy security, individual activity, relationship with others, physical disorders, bowel and bladder problems and medical fees. Internal consistency was high, with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0. 950 overall and 0. 741 ~ 0. 920 for the individual factors. Test-retest reliability was 0.848. The correlation between SSIPSCI scores and Beck depression inventory (BDI) scores was strong ( r = 0. 665 ). Conclusions The reliability and validity of the SSIPSCI are both satisfactory enough to meet psychometric requirements.

Objective To investigate the status of work fatigue of the disabled and the healthy so that we get to know their employment quality and compressive strength, and then provide the theory basis for the national policy formulation and vocational rehabilitation. Methods We randomly investigated 280 employees (220 disabled, 60 healthy people) in 3 companies from 3 provinces with Fatigue Impact Scale (FIS). Results There was no statistically significant difference between disabled and healthy people about work fatigue, and also that of 3 domains including psycho-social, cognitive and physical activity. After comparison of 40 items on FIS,the disabled had higher fatigue than that of the healthy in 4 items which belonged to psycho-social domain (P<0.05). Conclusion Disabled people are no less than healthy people in compression capability and working capability. They should believe in themselves, and their family and the employees should have more confidence about their work capability than before. Government should provide some support with them on job retention.

Kawasaki disease is far more frequent in children than in adults. The pathogenesis of Kawasaki disease is unknown, but it involves changes to the coronary artery and other diverse clinical manifestations. There are currently no specific laboratory diagnostic indexes, and especially since the disease is rare in adults, so it is extremely easy to misdiagnose or to overlook entirely. Our retrospective analysis of an diagnosis of and treatment for Kawasaki disease in an adult provides a guide to clinical doctors in terms of understanding Kawasaki disease, early diagnosis of it, and improved prognosis.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2023;22(2):260-263
Objective:To explore the application of laparoscopic training in the standardized residency training of pediatric general surgery. Methods:A total of 36 rotating residents who received the standardized residency training in the department of pediatric general surgery of Shenzhen Children's Hospital from January 2017 to December 2019 were selected for laparoscopic training. The training content includes the study and training of laparoscopic theory knowledge, laparoscopic surgery video, skills operation of simulated operating system. Assessment was conducted before and after the training, and statistical analysis was performed to compare the difference of scores before and after the training. The self-evaluation of resident's learning efficiency and the satisfaction with teachers were investigated by questionnaires. SPSS 20.0 was used for paired t-test. Results:After receiving the standardized residency training of pediatric general surgery, the theoretical knowledge and cognition of the application on pediatric general laparoscopic surgery were significantly improved among the 36 residents. The time that the skills spent in vitro simulation box during the simulated operation training was significantly reduced after training, with a statistically significant difference ( P < 0.05). According to the questionnaire survey, resident's satisfaction with self-evaluation of learning efficiency was 97.22% (35/36), their satisfaction with teachers was 94.44% (34/36), and their satisfaction with teaching curriculum was 100.00% (36/36). Conclusion:Laparoscopic training can effectively improve the clinical practice ability of pediatric general surgery residents, which is worthy of promotion.

Objective To explore the value of conventional and functional MRI image parameter in preoperative grade of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (pNET).Methods Data of 35 cases of pNET were retrospectively analyzed, including tumor size, intensity of T1WI's and T2WI's signal, enhancement feature, and apparent diffusion coefficients (ADC)value. All kinds of tumors were classified into G1 to G3 according to WHO's classification in 2010.Results There were 40 pNETs (mean size(4.2±2.9)cm) among the 35 patients (20 male, and 15 female).By WHO's tumor grading, the number of patients from G1 to G3 was 18(45%),12(30%),and 10(25 %),respectively.A higher grade was associated with larger tumor size (P<0.05).Intensity of T1WI and T2WI signal has no significance for predicting tumor grade.Enhancement feature had statistical significance on tumor's grade (P<0.05).ADC value decreased with the increase of tumor's grade,(2.23±0.80) × 10-3,(1.80±0.73) × 10-3,(0.92±0.24) ×10-3 mm2/s respectively for tumors from grade G1 to G3.Conclusion Enhancement features of MRI image and ADC value are conducive to preoperative grading of pNET.

Spinal cord injury is a catastrophic injury causing lifelong severe disabilities, and poses a great burden to the individuals, families and society. In order to promote the standardization in treatment of traumatic spinal cord injury, the consensus on the evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of traumatic spinal cord injury was suggested by experts, who came from authoritative multicenter in China. The expert consensus, which formed a standardization process from the first aid clinical treatment to rehabilitation of spinal cord injury, shall give a better practical guide for clinic and rehabilitation physicians.
