Objective: To observe the effect of acupuncture, tuina plus rehabilitative therapy on lower limb motor dysfunction in infants with spastic cerebral palsy.
Methods:A total of 60 infants with spastic cerebral palsy were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group by random digital table, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with acupuncture, tuina therapy plus rehabilitative therapy of Western medicine. The control group was simply treated with rehabilitative therapy of Western medicine, as same as that for the treatment group. The assessment was respectively given to the sick infants before the treatment and after the treatment of six months, to evaluate lying and rolling scores in dimension A, to evaluate sitting score in dimension B, to evaluate crawling and kneeling scores in dimension C, and evaluate standing score in dimension D in the gross motor functions and determine the muscle tone of the gastrocnemius muscle by modified Ashworth scale (MAS).
Results:The differences were not statistically significant in comparison of the gross motor functions and the muscle tone of the gastrocnemius muscle between the two groups of sick infants before the treatment (P>0.05); after the treatment of six months, the above items were obviously improved in the two groups (P<0.01), better in the treatment group than in the control group, with the statistical significance in the differences between the groups (P<0.01).
Conclusion:Acupuncture, tuina plus rehabilitative therapy of Western medicine are remarkable in the therapeutic effects in the treatment of motor disorders of the lower limbs in the sick infants with spastic cerebral palsy. This therapeutic method is safe, simple and convenient and needs to be clinically popularized and applied.

Objective To observe the specific changes of content of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) around meridian skin and specific influences of electroacupunture Neiguan (PC6) on cGMP of rats with acute myocardial ischemia (AMI). Methods With 6 male Wistar rats as normal group, 18 rats were made AMI model and divided into model group, high-frequency group and low-frequency group (n=6). The high-frequency and low-frequency group were given electroacupuncture in bilateral PC6 with 100 and 2 Hz for 20 min respectively. The content of cGMP in skin around PC6, Ximen (PC4), Tianquan (PC2), Waiguan (TE5) and Zusanli (ST36) was detected by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent method after treatment. Results In model group, cGMP content increased significantly around PC6, PC2, TE5 and ST36 compared with normal group (P <0.05,P <0.001). After the treatment with high-frequency or low-frequency electroacupunture in PC6, cGMP content decreased significantly in skin around PC6, PC2, TE5 and ST36 compared with model group (P <0.05, P <0.001). Conclusion High-frequency electroacupunture or high-frequency electroacupunture used in PC6 can protect rats from the injury of AMI. The mechanism may be related to the decrease of cGMP content around the acupoint areas in heart-related meridian.

[ABSTRACT]AIM:Toinvestigatetheeffectsofmechanicalstretchontransientoutwardpotassiumcurrent(Ito), inward rectifier potassium current ( IK1 ) and action potential duration ( APD) of cultured neonatal rat atrial myocytes . METHODS:Neonatal rat atrial myocytes were isolated and cultured on silicone sheeting with or without stretch for 24 h. The silicone membrane area was increased by 12%in stretched group. The cells without stretch served as control .Ito, IK1 and APD were recorded by the technique of whole-cell patch clamp.RESULTS:Compared with control group, Ito density in stretched myocytes was significantly reduced [(1.6 ±0.4) pA/pF vs (12.1 ±2.9) pA/pF, P<0.01], whereas IK1 density was increased [(-10.8 ±0.8) pA/pF vs (-8.8 ±0.9) pA/pF, P<0.01].The APDs at 50%and 90%levels of repolarization ( APD50 and APD90 ) in the stretched cells were obviously decreased than those in non-stretched cells [(10.5 ±1.4) ms vs (15.5 ±2.4) ms, (30.0 ±2.8) ms vs (56.3 ±3.6) ms, P<0.01].CONCLUSION: Stretch stimulation leads to the reduction of Ito density, the increase in IK1 density and the shortness of APD in cultured rat atrial neonatal myocytes , which may contribute to atrial electrical remodeling induced by pressure overload .

Objective:To investigate the short-term efficacy of rotational femoral neck osteotomy with preservation of the round ligament in the treatment of subchondral insufficiency fracture of the femoral head (SIFFH) in young and middle-aged people. Methods:A retrospective case series study was used to analyze the clinical data of 13 patients with SIFFH, who were admitted to 920th Hospital of Joint Logistics Support Force from January 2017 to January 2022. The patients included 10 males and 3 females, aged 22-49 years [(33.5±8.3)years]. There were 6 patients with fracture on the left hip and 7 on the right hip. All the patients were treated by rotational femoral neck osteotomy with preservation of the round ligament. Postoperatively, standardized joint functional training was given. The operative time and intraoperative bleeding were recorded. The modified Harris hip score and visual analogue score (VAS) were compared preoperatively, at 3, 6 months postoperatively and at the final follow-up. Radiological examinations were used to observe the occurrence of any collapse of the femoral head, non-union at osteotomy site or other complications. Results:The patients were followed up for 13-24 months [(17.9±3.1)months]. The operative time was (127.3±9.8)minutes, with the intraoperative bleeding of (393.9±21.9)ml. The values of modified Harris hip score were (61.6±3.3)points, (80.2±4.4)points, and (91.9±4.1)points at 3, 6 months postoperatively and at the final follow-up, respectively, being significantly higher than the preoperative (51.4±3.5)points (all P<0.05), and there were significant differences between different postoperative timepoints (all P<0.05). The values of VAS were (4.9±1.1)points, (3.0±0.9)points, and (1.4±0.5)points at 3, 6 months postoperatively and at the final follow-up, respectively, being significantly lower than preoperative (6.7±0.9)points (all P<0.05), and there were significant differences between different postoperative timepoints (all P<0.05). Imaging examination showed no femoral head collapse, with all the bones healed at the osteotomy site. There were no serious complications such as bone non-union, incision infection or peripheral nerve injury. Conclusion:Rotational femoral neck osteotomy with preservation of the round ligament in treating SIFFH in the young and middle-aged population has the advantages of shortened operative time, less intraoperative bleeding, promoted hip function recovery, attenuated pain and decreased complications, showing a satisfactory early effect.
