2.Clinical analysis of inhalable Seretide in the two-year treatment of patients with stable moderate COPD

Objective To explore the effects of Seretide(50/250 μg)in the treatment of patients with stable moderate COPD.Methods Sixty-four patients in the stable period of moderate COPD were randomized into 2 groups,the test group and control group.The control group received routine treatment.The test group received the Seretide(50/250 μg)inhalation in addition to the routine treatment.During the 2-year observation,the pulmonary functions before and 12 and 24 months after treatment were recorded.The clinical symptoms,physical signs,the frequency of acute exacerbation of COPD and hospitaliztion duration were also graded.Results The difference of the parameters before and after the treatment was significant in the treatment group(P <0.01)but not in control group(P >0.05).The scores of symptoms and signs([2.1 ±0.4]vs.[4.4 ± 0.3],t =2.365),the frequency of acute exacerbation of COPD(29% vs.47%,x2 =3.547)and hospitalization period ([5.0 ± 1.2]d vs.[10.0 ± 1.6]d,t =2.149)in the treatment group were significantly improved compared with control group after 24 months' treatment(all P < 0.01).Conclusion Seretide(50/250 μg)is able to improve the lung function of the patients with stable moderate COPD and reduce the frequency of acute exacerbation,showing certain value in clinical practice.

4.Study of a Bio-oss and rhBMP-2 composite repairing the alveolar bone defects around heterogenous implanted teeth

Objective: To evaluate the reliability and effects of a compound bone substitute materials Bio-oss artificial bone grafts with recombinant human bone morphogenic protein-2(rhBMP-2) filling the alveolar bone defects around heterogenous replanted teeth. Methods:3 dogs′ bilateral mandible 3rd premolars(6 sites) were extracted. The defect sites without buccal and lingual alveolar bone were prepared for the heterogenous implanted teeth and the compound of Bio-oss and rhBMP-2 filled the alveolar bone defects around. The bone regeneration was observed by naked eye, radiograph, histology and histomorphometric analysis after 2, 3 months. Results:The new alveolar bone showed osteogenesis and calcification after 2 months, and intergrated with implanted teeth root under the light microscope and X ray. 6.Comparison of effective outcome of application of Ruyi golden powder and magnesium sulfate in the treatment of phlebitis caused by amiodarrone

Objective To observe the effective outcome of application of Ruyi golden powder and magnesium sulfate in the treatment of phlebitis caused by amiodarrone.Methods 60 patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group (30 cases in each group).The external application of Ruyi golden powder which was prepared with 75% alcohol into a paste was used in the observation group and 50% magnesium sulphate was used in the control group.Results The total effective rate of two groups of patients was 93.3% in the observation group and 66.7% in the control group,the significant difference was found by the comparison of the two groups.Conclusions The external application of Ruyi golden powder with alcohol in the treatment of phlebitis caused by amiodarrone is better than magnesium sulfate.
7.Clinical efficacy of facial masses caused by exogenous growth factor injections

Objective To explore the reasons and the best treatment options of facial mass complicated after exogenous growth factor injections.Methods 17 cases of postoperative complications caused by exogenous growth factor injections were retrospectively analyzed.15 patients with chin masses received mass resection and repairment with submental fat and fascial flap.Facial masses of the other 2 patients were located in cheek.Simple cheek mass resection was usually useful.All the patients had scar treatment.The postoperative satisfactory survey was investigated after 6 months.Results The incisions of 17 patients were healed well.An analysis through color Doppler ultrasound examination showed no residual or recurrent mass within half a year follow-up.One of the 17 patients had facial asymmetry and needed further treatment.Others were satisfied with the facial appearance of treatment.Conclusions The masses resulted from injection of exogenous growth factor should be cut off timely and reasonable reconstruction through fat and fascial flap and scar treatment are helpful to restore the original appearance of patients.
8.The Application of MR Diffusion-Weighted Imaging and MR Angiography in Transient ischemic Attacks

Objective To evaluate the value of diffusion-weighted MRI ,time of flight MR angiography (TOF-MRA) and 3D dynamic contrast enhanced MR angiography (3D DCE-MRA) in the diagnosis of transient ischemic attacks(TIA). Methods 176 consecutive patients with TIA were undergone MRI, including FLAIR,DWI,TOF-MRA and 3D CE-MRA sequences. Results Of 176 cases,48.9% of patients were found having hyperacute ischemic lesions by DWI sequence and 18.2% of lesions could be detected by T2WI.TOF-MRA showed arterial stenosis and occlusion in 76 cases(43.2%),false positive rate and excessive diagnosis were happened in 20 cases.3D CE-MRA of brain showed arterial stenosis and occlusion in 69 cases(39.2%).3 cases with aneurysm and 2 cases with arteriovenous malformation were detected by two methods.3D CE-MRA of neck showed arterial stenosis and occlusion in 38 cases(21.6%).Conclusion DWI and MRA are helpful in detecting the hyperacute ischemic lesion and evaluating the arterial lesions in the patients with TIA.

10.Cloning and sequencing of the VL and VH genes from the anti-hCD154 McAb hybridoma cell line

AIM:To obtain the light chain region(VL) and heavy chain region(VH) genes from the hybridoma cell line and analyse their sequence for construction of the engineering antibody against hCD154. METHODS: In this research ,total RNA was extracted from the hybridoma cell line 7E8, which secretes McAb against hCD154, and subjected to reverse transcription. The VL gene and VH gene were amplified by PCR, cloned into puc18 vector and sequenced by Sanger's dideoxymediated chain-termination method. RESULTS: The VL cDNA of 7E8 McAb consists of 341 bp encoding 113 amino acid residues. Compared with mouse Ig database, the VL region is in accord with the characterization of DNA sequence present in the mouse Ig Vk region , it belong to mouse V?2 light chain. The VH cDNA of 7E8 McAb consists of 354 bp encoding 118 amino acid residues. Compared with mouse Ig database, the VH region is in accord with the characterization of DNA sequence present in the mouse Ig VH region. CONCLUSION: The DNA squence analysis showed that the cloned genes code the light and heavy chain variable region of mouse respectively.
