In recent years, radiofrequency-ablation with minimal invasive effect has been increasingly used in the treatment of lung cancer, outcoming with obvious achievement. Great progress has been made in the experimental research including creation of electrode needle, the radiofrequency technique and clinical applications. This article overviews the experimental research, clinical application, current status and future research directions of this new treatment modality.

Objective To investigate the expressions of CD40 and ICAM-1 in primary hepatocarcinoma and clinical significance and analyze their relationships with carcinogenesis and progression of liver cancer. Objective To evaluate the efficacy of testosterone supplementation for partial androgen deficiency in middle-aged men. Methods This prospective,double-blind,placebo-controlled,randomized clinical trial was conducted in our hospital.A total of 179 patients (mean age,41.8 years) were randomly divided into study group (n=136) and control group (n=43).The 136 patients in study group received andriol (80 mg,twice a day) for 3 months;while the 43 patients in control group received no special treatment.The changes of partial androgen deficiency in aging male (PADAM) scores,serum total testosterone (TT),free-T (fT) and relevant sexual hormone levels were assessed before and after treatment. Results In study group the PADAM scores at 1 and 3 months after treatment were significantly improved compare with those before treatment (P0.05). Conclusions Partial androgen deficiency in middle-aged men is clinically exist and testosterone supplementation for this condition is safe and effective.

Objective To investigate the effects of mobility training on mobility and the mRNA levels of both synaptophysin and growth associated protein 43 (GAP-43) in the region around an infarction in rats with acute cerebral infarction. Methods Models of cerebral infarction were created in 100 rats through middle cerebral artery occlusion. They were then randomly divided into training and control groups. The motor skill of the rats was examined using a beam walking test. The mRNA levels of both synaptophysin and GAP-43 in the region around the infarction were observed at the 1st, 3rd, 7th, 14th and 28th days after model-creation using a semi-quantitive reverse transcrip-tion polymerase chain reaction. Results The rats' mobility scores increased with training, and significant differ-ences were observed between the average scores of the two groups at the 3rd, 7th and 14th days. The scores were higher in the training group. The mRNA levels of both synaptophysin and GAP-43 in the region around the infarction increased significantly from the 1st to the 3rd and 7th days. Synaptophysin mRNA levels were significantly higher in the trained group at each time point, but the levels of GAP-43 mRNA were significantly higher in the trained group only on the 3rd and 7th days. Conclusions Motor skill and the mRNA levels of synaptophysin and GAP-43 in the region around an infarction can be increased by motor skill training, at least in rats with model acute cerebral infarc-tion.

Objective To prevent the medical personnel from infection during aeromedical evacuation of fulminating respiratory infectious disease patients by exploring the changes of differential pressure between those in and out of the negative-pressure isolation capsule and analyzing the stability of the capsule during aeromedical evacuation.Methods A differential pressure monitor developed by Institute of Medical Equipment was used for real-time recording of the changes the differential pressure in and out of the capsule during five flight phases of the aircraft,and the safety of the capsule during aeromedical evacuation and corresponding considerations were investigated.Results The maximum and minimum values of the negative pressure in the capsule were-60 Pa and-120 Pa respectively during aeromedical evacuation,which were all less than the safety threshold-15 Pa.The negative pressure was is directly proportional to the flying altitude.Conclusion The capsule keeps negative pressure effectively during flight,and thus facilitates patient aeromedial evacuation greatly.

Objective To investigate the expressions of Stat3, CyclinD1 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and analyze their relationships with carcinogenesis and progression of NSCLC. Methods SP immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of Stat3, CyclinD1 and PCNA in 45 cases of NSCLC. Results The positive rate of Stat3 was 71. 1 % in NSCLC. Objective To investigate the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and nerve growth factor (NGF) after cerebral infarction and treatment with curcumin combined with electroacupuncture.Methods Middle cerebral artery occlusion was successfully introduced to simulate cerebral infarction in 60 healthy,male Wistar rats.They were then randomly divided into a control group,an electroacupuncture group,a curcumin group and a curcumin combined with electroacupuncture group (the observation group),each of 15.After the modeling,the four groups were given the planned interventions for 2 weeks,with the control group receiving no intervention.All of the rats were sacrificed after neurobehavioral scoring and immunological staining of brain tissue from the infarction area was used to detect the expression of BDNF and NGF.Results The average Bederson score in the observation group was significantly lower than those of the other groups.Cells expressing BDNF and NGF were significantly more numerous in the observation group than in the other three groups.Conclusion Curcumin combined with electroacupuncture can significantly improve the expression of BDNF and NGF in the infarcted area,and this may play a neuroprotective role.

Objective To analyze the CT features of intestinal tumor obstruction, and explore its CT value.Methods CT manifestation and clinical materials of intestinal tumor obstruction proved by surgical findings or endoscopy biopsy in 35 cases were analyzed restrospectively, and compared with the results of surgery-pathology and endoscopy. Results CT findings were consistence with the results of surgery-pathology and endoscopy in 33 of 35 cases. The CT diagnostic accuracy of intestinal obstruction was 100%. And the accuracy of the cause was 94%, including colon carcinoma in 25, lyphoma in 5, gastrointestinal stromal tumor in 2, and lipoma in 3.Conclusion CT has unique advantage in examining intestinal tumor obstruction, not only for definiting the existence of the obstruction, but also locating the site of obstruction diagnosing the cause and chosing the appropriate treatment.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic Value of multi-slice spiral CT 3-Dimensional reconstruction in intestinal obstruction.Methods 28 Patients with malignant lesions of colon underwent volume scanning using multislice helical CT.Four types of reconstruction included multiple planner reconstruction(MPR),CT virtual colonoscopy(CTVC),shaded surface display(SSD)and raysum.The results were compared with those of colonoscopy and patholog.Results CT diagnostic accurate rate was 100%,and the accurate rate of the cause was 96% in intestinal obstruction,including primary or secondary neoplasms(18/28),abhesions(2/28),bowel torsion(2/28)and external or internal hernias(3/28) and gallstone ileus(3/28).Conclusion There were advantages and disadvantages in diagnosis of mechanical intestinal obstruction with MPR,CTVC,SSD and Raysum respectively.The combined use of the four post-processing technigues can be more helpful to precise localizing and qualitative diagnosis of lesions.MPR should be the optimal post-processing technigues for the diagnosis of intestinal obstruction
