Journal of Practical Radiology 2014;(8):1259-1262
Objective To explore the clinical value of whole-brain CT perfusion imaging with 320-detector row CT in early acute cerebral infarction. Methods The CTP parameters(CBF,CBV,MTT,TTP)and its pseudo color map of 25 patients with early acute cerebral infarction were retrospectively analysed and compared between infarction area, ischemic penumbra (IP)and the con-tralateral normal region. Results The abnormal perfusion area were found on CTP in 25 patients with early acute cerebral infarction. CTP showed cerebral blood flow (CBF)and cerebral blood volume (CBV)decreased significantly, mean transit time (MTT)short-ened significantly, time to peak (TTP)was significantly longer than those of the contralateral normal region in 7 cases of acute cere-bral infarct core.18 cases of IP lesions showed CBF decreased slightly,CBV increased slightly or maintain normal,MTT and TTP extension compared with contralateral.CBF,CBV,MTT,TTP values had significantly differences between infarct region and the contralateral corresponding normal region, between the infarct core area and IP of acute cerebral infarction (P <0.01).CBF,MTT, TTP values had statistically significant(P <0.05),and CBV values was not statistically significant (P >0.05)between IP region and the contralateral corresponding normal region, but showed a downward trend in blood flow.Parameter color maps of CTP could di-rectly,clearly and sensitively show abnormal changes region about cerebral blood flow.In particular,MTT and TTP maps shows ab-normal region clearer and sensitively.Follow-up 18 cases of IP,active lesions deduced in 6 cases, the lesions disappeared in 5 pa-tients (CT/ MRI showed no abnormal, and the clinical symptoms disappeared)after thrombolytic therapy,7 cases of MRI and CT scans confirmed infarction stove. Conclusion Whole-brain CTP with 320-detector row CT can early show the acute cerebral infarc-tion and its ischemic penumbra,it has significant important clinical value for early acute cerebral infarction.

Objective To explore the association between estrogen receptor gene polymorphism and systemic lupus erythematosns in women of Han nationality from Jiangxi province. Methods Whole blood samples were obtained from 95 female patients with SLE of Han nationality (18 with pre-menarche onset and 77 with post-menarche onset) and 100 healthy female controls from Jiangxi province.Genomic DNA was extracted from these samples followed by the analysis of polymorphism at Pvu Ⅱ and Xba I sites of estrogen receptor alpha gene with PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP).The frequencies of alleles and genotypes were compared between the control and patients and between patients with pre-menarche onset and those with post-menarche onset. Results The frequency of P allele was higher in patients with SLE than in the controls (35.8% vs 27%,P<0.05),but lower in patients with pre-menarche onset than in those with post-menarche onset (19.4% vs 39.6%,P<0.05).Further more,an increment was observed in the frequency of Xxpp genotype in patients with pre-menarche onset compared with normal controls and patients with postmenarche onset (16.7% vs 1% and 1.3%,both P<0.05).Conclusions The frequency of P allele in ER alpha gene is increased in female patients with SLE of Han nationality from Jiangxi province. The Xxpp genotype of ER gene may be associated with the susceptibility to pre-menarche onset SLE.

Objective To obtain a lasting and purified cell line of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) by primary culture, and to provide these test materials related research. Methods The primary and transfer culture was done by tissue - piece inoculationand trypsin digestion, respectively. The cells were frozen in liquid nitrogen, and cultured cells were identified by phase contrast microscopy and immunohistochemical SP kit. Results 85% of inoculated tissue pieces survived. More than 90% of VSMCs regrew in transfered culture. The frozen cells could recover their proliferation by several culture transfers. The VSMCs showed the typical "peak and valley" characteristics under microscopy. Immunohistochemical staining with antibody against SM - a - actin expression in these cells was positive. Conclusion The tissue - piece inoculation is a simple method for obtaining satisfactory VSMCs in short term.

Objective To investigate an effective method of treating primary hepatic cancer(PHC) with portal venous tumor thrombosis (PVTT). Methods The clinical data Of 23 patients with PHC and PVTT were retrospectivly analysed. Results Of the 23 patieats after hepatoma resection and PVTT extraction, continuous micro dose infusion chemotherapy or perfusion chemotherapy by DDS was adopted. In 8 patients with main portal vein tumor thrombus, 2 died, 4 recured in 6 months. In 8 patients with the first class branch of portal vein tumor thrombus, 2 recurrd in 6 months and 6 recurred in 12 months. In 4 patients with secondary class branch of portal vein tumor thrombus, l recurred in 12 months (P
