In order to investigate the relationship between sex hormone receptor or glucocorticoid receptor(GR) and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC), the contents of androgen receptor(AR) and estrogen receptor(ER) in peripheral blood lymphocytes, and GR in peripheral blood leukocytes from 13 patients with HCC and 23 healthy persons were measured by the method of radio-ligand receptor binding. The results showed that the contents of ER and AR in control group were 616?06 and 687?09 site/cell respectively: and those in HCC group were 968?20 and 2903?60 site/cell; while the content of GR in control group was 5360?1684 site/cell, and those in HCC with and without cirrhosis group were 3112?130 and 4536?201 site/cell respectively. The level of AR indicated that HCC is well correlated with AR and HCC may be an androgen-dependent tumor. The GR level is negatively correlated with the degree of liver cirrhosis. The result demonstrated that the GR contents reflect the degree of liver cirrhosis.

Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(11):-
Objective To obtain a lasting and purified cell line of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) by primary culture, and to provide these test materials related research. Methods The primary and transfer culture was done by tissue - piece inoculationand trypsin digestion, respectively. The cells were frozen in liquid nitrogen, and cultured cells were identified by phase contrast microscopy and immunohistochemical SP kit. Results 85% of inoculated tissue pieces survived. More than 90% of VSMCs regrew in transfered culture. The frozen cells could recover their proliferation by several culture transfers. The VSMCs showed the typical "peak and valley" characteristics under microscopy. Immunohistochemical staining with antibody against SM - a - actin expression in these cells was positive. Conclusion The tissue - piece inoculation is a simple method for obtaining satisfactory VSMCs in short term.

Objective. The goal of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the N-glycosylation of acetylglucosaminyltransferase V(Glc NAcT-V) and its activity and to know which site among the 6 N-glycosylation sites in the GlcNAcT-V gene is the most important.Methods. Wild type of GlcNAcT-V was transfected into COS-7 cells and its activity was measured 48 h later. The first site (Asn 110) was mutated with site-directed mutagenesis and transfected into COS-7 cells.Results. It was found that after the cells were added tunicamycin(TM, 1 μ g/ml), the activity was 11.7% of the wild type. The activity of the cells with mutating GlcNAcT-V was about 12.0% of the wild type. RT-PCR showed that there was no significant change in mRNA expression among the three groups.Conclusion. The N-glycosylation is important for its activity. Our results suggest that the N-linked carbohydrates on GlcNAcT-V are required for the posttranscriptional activity of the enzyme.

World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(9):2031-2033
Fever and sweating are the most common clinical symptoms, which are important parts in the inquiry of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Just as Zhang Jingyue said, Firstly inquire for cold and heat and secondly in-quire for the sweating. It placed both symptoms as priorities in the collection of disease history. In the clinical prac-tice, febrile diseases refer to acute exogenous diseases infected by warm evil with the main symptom of fever. And fever is almost throughout the entire process of febrile diseases. It is also known as Han-Bing for the visible varia-tion of sweating in its entire disease process. It is important to identify the abnormality of sweating for the determina-tion of the severity febrile diseases and the level of body fluid shortage. Therefore, two main symptoms for the diag-nosis of febrile diseases are particularly prominent and important. The reasons of sweating and fever in febrile dis-eases have been explored so much but the relationship between them is less which is extremely essential to learn more about febrile diseases. So we are expected to explore this topic to make better use of theories of febrile dis-eases.
