At present,the database of Oracle is widely used in military hospitals.As the core of hospital information system,the performance of current database is closely related to the stability of whole system.This article describes some mistakes and experience in oracle performance tuning.

AIM: To investigate the effect of (Ganoderma lucidum ) polysaccharides (Gl-PS) on the insulin-releasing function of pancreati c islets. METHODS: Pancreatic islets were isolated and incubated with 5.6 or 16.7 mmol?L -1 glucose and different concentratio ns of Gl-PS for 1 h. Then the insulin was examined. Verapamil, and verapamil co mbined EGTA were used to testify whether the insulin-releasing effect of Gl-PS was inhibited by these inhibitors. The effects of Gl-PS on protein expression of the glucose transporter 2(GLUT2) under 5.6 and 16.7 mmol?L -1 glucose were also investigated. RESULTS: Gl-PS stimulated th e insulin release when incubated with the glucose of 5.6 or 16.7 mmol ?L -1 . The insulin releasing effect of Gl-PS was partly inhibited by ve rapamil and completely inhibited by verapamil+EGTA. Gl-PS could promote the GLU T2 protein expression of pancreatic islets under glucose of 5.6 and 16.7 mmol?L -1 . CONCLUSION: Gl-PS possesses insulin-rele asing effect under the glucose of 5.6 and 16.7 mmol?L -1 due t o the promotion of the GLUT2 protein expression and the subsequent facilitation of Ca 2+ inflow into the pancreatic B cells.

Objective To detect the serum levels of carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)and squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC-Ag)in patients with different gynecological diseases ,and to investigate the clinical significance of serum CA125 and SCC-Ag in the diagnosis of gynecological diseases .Methods The levels of CA125 and SCC-Ag in serum were detected by chemiluminescence method in 272 hospitalized patients of gynecological and 20 health examination women(normal control group) .Results The serum level and the positive rate of CA125 were increased in different disease groups ,which were significantly increased in endometriosis , adenomyosis ,and cervical cancer groups and were significantly different from the normal control group(P<0 .01) .The serum level and positive rate of SCC-Ag in cervical cancer group were significantly higher than normal control group(P<0 .01) .Conclusion Serum CA125 can be used as an indicator of gynecological disease screening ,and serum SCC-Ag is a specific tumor marker of cervi-cal cancer .

Objective To compare the curative effect of two kinds of operations in subtotal thyroidectomy.Methords To compare the appliance of trocar drain,fibrin glue,moderate pressure dressing with the traditional latex tubing drain in another cut in subtotal thyroidectomy.Results There were significant differences in draining volume,draining time and scar between the two groups.Conclusions In treatment group it is safer,more effective and with less complication than those of control group.It is worthy of spreading.

Objective To explore the relationship between military personnel's psychosomatic health and social support, family emotion expression and related factors, and to provide measures to raise military personnel's psychosomatic health by interventional measures. Methods A total of 3865 servicemen from army, navy and air-force were selected for sampling through randomized cluster. Chinese Psychosomatic Health Scale (CPSHS), Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) and Family Emotion Expression Scale (FEES) were used for analysis, and the results were analyzed by linear correlation and principal component regression, etc. Results Compared with the norm, the military personnel had lower scores in the mental disorder (anxiety, depression, psychoticism) (t range from -36.669 to -29.724, P

Royal jelly (2.5g/kg/d igX8d) increased the clearance rate of iv charcoal particles in normal mice, and completely antagonized the decrease of clearance rate caused by cortisone acetate. It also potentiated the delayed type hypersensitivity ( DTH ) reaction of footpad induced by SRBC in normal mice, and entirely antagonized the inhibition of DTH reaction caused by eye lophosphamide. Royal jelly (2.5 g/kg/d ig X 7 d ) had no marked influence on hemolysin formation in normal mice and immunosuppressed mice caused by eye lophosphamide.

Armillariella mellea polysaccharide ( AP ) was isolated from solid fermented Armillariella mellea. AP ( 100 mg/kg?d, ig ? 5 d ) increased the production of serum hemolysin in normal mice as well as in im-munodepressed mice induced by cyclophosphamide. At the dose of 50 mg/kg?d ig?5d, AP also caused a significant increase of spleen plaque forming cells ( PFC ) in normal mice. AP ( 10, 50?g/ml ) markedly enhanced Con A-induced lymphocyte proliferation of mouse spleen cells in vitro, but it had no potentiating effect on delayed cutaneous hypersensitivity ( DCH ) to 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene ( DNCB ) in normal mice. AP ( 100 mg/kg/d, sc? 7d) increased both clearance rate of iv charcoal particles and phagocytic activity of ma-crophages of abdominal cavity in normal mice.

Purpose:To analyze the prognostic factors of testicular seminoma.Materials and Methods:133 patients with testicular seminoma histologically proved were treated from October, 1975 to December,1990. Most of them were firstly treated with orchiectomy and minority were treated with orchiectomy plus lymphadenectomy in abdomen cavity. All patients were treated with postoperative radiotherapy and a little part of them were combined with irregular chemotherapy. Results: The overall 5-year survival rates were:92.5(65/70) for stage Ⅰ, 52.6(10/19) for stageⅡ, 25%(4/16) for stage Ⅲ and 22.2%(2/9) for stage Ⅳ. Patients received radiation dose of 20～30Gy gave a five year survival rate of 80% which was much better than those who received radiation dose 30Gy(P

Purpose: There is no appropriate instrument or devices and corresponding technological specification for measurement of output dose and dose disdribution in stereotactic radiothrapy. Small field of the stereotatic radiotherapy can't be measured by normal ionization chamber for its characteristics.A practible instrument and method were developed for dose measurement in stereotactic irradiation.Materials and Methods:A diode detector with 1mm sensitivety volume and a 0.3cc graphite chamber developed by us are used to measure the dose output & dose distribution in warious phantom for the beams used in stereotactic irradiation.Results:The dose outputs and dose ditributions measured by SCD-61 diode developed by us were tested and verified by TLD dosemeter,and the results show tha there is a 5% consistency for the value at the focus point.Conclusion: the diameter of the detector used for measurement must be smaller than the halt size of the radiation beams to be measured. A diode detector with 1mm sensitivity volume is the best choice for the dosimetric measurements for smaller beams used in stereotactic irradiation.
