Objective:To explore the cytogenetic characteristics of hypospadias in children by karyotype analysis.Methods:From June 2008 to May 2018, 45 children with hypospadias in Tianjin Children's Hospital had cytogenetic abnormalities. Their median age was 10 months(range 3 hours to 5 years old). Of the 45 cases, 20 were proximal hypospadias, 1 was middle hypospadias. All 24 cases had varying degrees of genitourinary malformations. Among them, 15 cases had unilateral or bilateral cryptorchidism, 5 cases had scrotal division, 3 cases had penile scrotal transposition, 3 cases had small penis, 3 cases had indirect inguinal hernia, 1 case had repeated urethra, 1 case had hydrocele and 1 case had concealed penis. To the other systemic malformations, there was 1 with cleft lip and palate and 1 with congenital heart disease. G-banding karyotype analysis of peripheral blood lymphocytes was performed in all 45 cases.Results:Among the 45 cases of hypospadias with abnormal karyotypes, with an abnormal rate of 14.0%, 28 cases (62.22%) had sex chromosome abnormalities, including (47, XXY), (46, XX/47, XXY), (45, X0/47, XYY), etc. Sexual inversion occurred in 8 cases (17.78%), all of which were 46, XX. There were 4 autosomal abnormalities (8.89%), including (46, XY, 9p+ ), (46, XY, 10p+ ) and (46, XY, 1q+ ). Chromosome polymorphism was found in 4 cases (8.89%), including [46, XY, inv(9)] and [46, XY, 16qh+ ], and the equilibrium translocation of 1 case (2.22%) was [45, XY, -21, -22, + t(21; 22)]. Among the 45 cases, 8 sex reversal children with (46, XX) chromosome karyotype were all proximal hypospadias.Conclusions:Children with hypospadias may be associated with chromosomal karyotype abnormalities, including sex chromosomal abnormalities, autosomal abnormalities, chromosome polymorphism and balanced translocation. Among them, sex chromosome abnormality was the most common and balanced translocation was the least.

Although current synthetic anti-gout drugs have significant therapeutic effects in reducing serum uric acid levels, they have serious side effects such as allergic reactions and liver and kidney damage. Natural products with a wide range of uric acid-lowering and high safety have played a critical role in anti-gout drug discovery and development. This paper reviews the natural products with uric acid-lowering or anti-gout pharmacological effects and the investigation on their mechanisms of action, to provide information for drug discovery and development.

Objective To explore the efficacy of surgery on ruptured anterior communicating artery aneurysm via interhemispheric approach Methods An analysis and summary of the clinical data were performed in 23 patients with anterior communicating artery aneurysm, admitted to our hospital from January 2008 to August 2009. The clinical manifestations and surgical outcomes were analyzed to evaluate the significance of interhemispheric approach. Results Three aneurysms ruptured during the operation, and 8 aneurysms were excised after being clipped. All patients received CT scan 1 d after the operation and on the day the patients discharged to confirm that no hydrocephalus and brain tissue infarction appeared. All the patients were performed transcranial Doppler ultrasonography on the 3rd d of operation, indicating that 5 patients emerged cerebral angiospasm, and 2 of these 5 patients appeared frontal psychiatric symptoms and recovered 1 week later. No disability or death was noticed.Conclusion Interhemispheric approach enjoys its superiority in treating anterior communicating artery aneurysm: it can help to expose the anterior communicating artery complex and neck of the aneurysm,therefore, anterior communicating artery aneurysm can be clipped, and the interhemispheric hematoma can be cleaned up and the happening of post-operative vasospasm can be decreased.

Objective To explore the effect and safety of transcranial approach for spheno-orhital meningioma. Design Retro- spective case series. Participants Thirty-two patients being operated with transcranial approach. Twenty-four cases were meningothelial meningiomas, 3 cases were fibrous meningiomas, 1 case was psammomatous meningioma, 2 cases were atypital meningiomas, 2 case were malignant meningiomas. Methods All patients underwent frontal-temporal craniotomy, the involved sphenoid wing bone and peri- orbit were removed to prevent recurrence. The superior orbital fissure and optic canal were decompressed, the dural and periorbital de- feet were repaired by autogenous temporal fascia or artificial dura. Main Outcome Measures Preoperative and postoperative exoph- thalmus and eyeball movement, the extent of tumor resection, the ratio of recurrence. Results The extent of tumor resection: 8 cases were Simpson gradeⅡ, 20 cases Simpson gradeⅢ, 4 cases Simpson grade IV. After surgery, proptosis were improved in all patients, ophthalmoplegia was found in 6 eases. There was no operation-related death or other significant complication. Tumor recurred in 6 cas- es. Conclusions Adequate exposure of the tumor and bony decompression of the cranial nerves can result from transcranial approach, all the involved bone should be removed in order to prevent recurrence. This approach is relatively safe and the ptoptosis are improved significantly. Complete surgical resection is difficult because of the involvement of the orbital apex, superior orbital fissure and cav- ernous sinus.

In order to study the regularity of shedding virus from infected SPF chickens and the formation of aerosol of H9N2 subtype AIV, SPF chickens were bred in a positive and negative pressure isolator. Aerosol samples were collected by AGI-30 (All Glass Impinger-30) extractor, and simultaneously trachea and cloaca samples were collected by tracheal swabs and cloacal swabs in different periods after challenged with vi- ruses. The above-mentioned samples were detected by HI, Dot-ELISA and RT-PCR methods. The results in- dicated that aerosols were isolated from the 4 days to the 43 days after inoculation. It was proved that H9N2 subtype AIV could copy themselves in respiratory passage and cloaca, and then could formation of aerosols. AIV H9N2 subtype could be isolated from cloacal and tracheal swabs 3 days after inoculation and lasted for 45 days, viruses were detected from all infected SPF chickens on 7 days.
