ObjectiveTo investigate the understanding of stroke among stroke patients and promote the direction of rehabilitation.MethodsA survey was carried out among 80 stroke patients by questionnaire.Results42.5% of those patients knew nothing about the risk factor of stroke and the rate of right behavior related to maintain health was relatively low. The rate of satisfaction with rehabilitative direction was only 66.3% though 98% patients had experienced that direction.ConclusionIntensive and continuous direction of rehabilitation is necessary for the stroke patients. Comprehensive health education should be given to those patients to ensure their best self care and improve their quality of living.

Aim To study the changes of the biological behavior of dermal fibroblasts in Ⅲ skin burns wound in rats using chitosan.Methods Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups as follows:1% chitosan(W/V)group,2% chitosan(W/V)group,4% chitosan(W/V)group,bFGF(basic fibroblast growth factor) group and the control group.Rats were made for Ⅲ skin burns.The wound healing time was recorded,and the wound healing rate was calculated.Then the cell cycle and apoptotic dermal fibroblasts were determined and the amount of Hydroxyproline(HOP) in the skin tissue was analyzed.Results The wound healing rate of 4% chitosan(W/V) group was higher and the wound healing time of 4% chitosan(W/V) group was shorter than that of the control group.On the 7th,14th day post-injury,the content of protein of 4% chitosan(W/V) group was higher than that of the control group.The content of HOP of 2% and 4% chitosan(W/V) group was highest on the 7th day post-injury. Compared with that in control group,the percentage of cells of S stage in 4% chitosan(W/V) group was aboundant,and was reduced in apoptotic dermal fibroblasts.Conclusion The changes of cellular biological behaviors might be one of the mechanisms of that Chitosan could promote the wound healing of Ⅲ skin burns in rats significantly.

The contents of coumarins in the sulfur fumigated Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi, ADR) were reduced significantly. To achieve the quality control of ADR, the qualitative identification of sulfur fumigated ADR and quantitative model of imperatorin content should be established. The near-infrared (NIR) spectrograms of non-sulfur and sulfur fumigated ADR were collected by NIR diffuse reflectance spectroscopy technology and pretreated by the method of first derivative derivation and vector normalization. The Ward's Algorithm method was used for the cluster analysis. The non-sulfur and sulfur fumigated ADR can be quickly identified in the range of 8,806. 0-3 811.0 cm(-1) based on the cluster analysis. The NIR quantitative model of imperatorin was established by the contents of imperatorin determined by HPLC in combination with partial least squares regression analysis. According to the calibration model established in this study, correlation coefficients (R2), the root-mean-square error of cross-validation (RMSECV), and the root-mean-square error of prediction (RMSEP) for imperatorin were 0.982 8, 0.006 8, 0.011 8, respectively. The quantitative model of imperatorin can be applied to determine the content of imperatorin in ADR accurately.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and adverse effects of gefitinib as the first line treatment in elderly patients with lung adenocarcinoma.Methods 81 elderly patients of previously untreated advanced lung adenocarcinoma,who were non-smokers and unsuitable for chemotherapy,received gefitinib treatment until disease progression or intolerable toxicities occurred.The curative effect performance status of improvement and adverse effects were observed.Results All of the patients were evaluable.Partial response rate and stable disease rate of gefifinib were 25.9 ％ (21/81) and 48.1％ (39/81),respectively.55.5 ％ (45/81)of patients had performance status improved after treatment.Conclusion Gefitinib has curative effect and is well tolerated in the treatment of elderly patients with previously untreated advanced lung adenocarcinoma.

ObjectiveTo investigate the changes in the expression of transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-β1) during differentiation of pulmonary microvascular endothelial ceils (PMVECs) into smooth muscle cells in rats with hepato-pulmonary syndrome (HPS).MethodsPrimary PMVECs were harvested from healthy adult SD rats of both sexes aged 3-4 months and inoculated in low-glucose DMEM culture medium (1(6/cm2 ) and randomly divided into 2 groups ( n =24 dishes each):control group ( group C) and HPS group.HPS was produced by chronic ligation of common bile duct.In group C serum obtained from normal rats was added to PMVECs,while in HPS group serum obtained from rats with HPS was added.The final concentration of serum was 10％.After being incubated for 24,48 and 72 h,the expression of SM-MHC,SM-α-actin and calponin protein and TGF-β1 mRNA and protein in PMVECs was determined by RT-PCR and Western blot analysis.ResultsThe expression of SMMHC,SM-α-actin and calponin protein.was positive in HPS group whereas the expression of SM-α-actin and calponin protein was negative and the expression of SM-MHC protein was barely detectable in group C.The expression of SM-MHC,TGF-β1 mRNA and protein was significantly higher in HPS group than in group C.The expression of SM-MHC,SM-α-actin and calponin protein and TGF-β1 mRNA and protein was increasing with duration of incubation from T1 to T3 in group HPS.ConclusionTGF-β1 plays an important role in the myogenic differentiation of PMVECs in rats with HPS.
