Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(07):-
Objective To evaluate the air quality in the long-distance bus with air conditioner and the uncomfortable index of the passengers during the trip. Methods The air quality in the long-distance buses with air conditioner which were running for 3 hours,5 hours,7 hours respectively was monitored and 200 passengers were investigated by questionnaire during the trip,Jan 2004 -Aug 2005. Results As the running time increasing,CO2 concentration significantly increased. The bacterium,fungus,PM10 and wind speed were increasing gradually, but still in the normal level. The temperature,CO,formaldehyde, benzene, toluene and dimethyl benzene did not increase. The hemolysis streptococcus was not found, the relative humidity droped a little but in normal level. The investigation results of questionnaire showed that 21.5%(43/200) passengers felt peculiar smell,64.5% (129/200)of them appeared lassitude symptom,43% (86/200)of them appeared the symptom of dizzy, thirsty and sore throat,21%(42/200)of them felt eye dry,14.5%(29/200)of them appeared the symptom of headache and breath-block,7%(14/200)of them felt nauseated and skin itch during the trip. Conclusion The CO2 pollution in the investigated long-distance buses is serious and this can impact the health of the passengers.

Objective To analyze the assessment results and summary the work experience of malaria elimination in Baise City. Methods According to The malaria elimination evaluation schemes of Guangxi(2014 edition),the examination and evaluation of malaria elimination were carried out and all the results were analyzed in 12 counties(county?level city or district) of Baise City from 2014 to 2015. Results Since 2009,there were no local malaria cases and imported secondary cases in Baise City for the 6 consecutive years, and the detailed data were collected and the self?assessment reports of malaria elimination were written in all the counties. There was no omission or delay of malaria case reports in the 12 counties. The highest score of the ex?amination and evaluation was 96.58 points, the lowest was 90.76 points, and the average was 93.77 points. The biggest impact on the evaluation scores was“on?site examination”. Conclusion All the 12 counties(county?level city or district)of Baise City have passed the municipal examination and evaluation of malaria elimination, and the key of next work is malaria monitoring, timely finding and treating the imported malaria patients, and to guarantee no imported secondary cases.

Objective To investigate changes of serum cystatin C(Cys C),uric acid,HsCRP, IL-6,TNF-?,and lipids in patients with primary and secondary type Ⅱ b hyperhpidemia. Methods Seventy- five patients with primary and secondary type Ⅱb hyperlipidemia and 75 healthy controls were included in this study.Serum levels of TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,apoAI,apoB,Lp(a),Cys C,UA,HsCRP were measured by immunoturbidimetric assay on AU-640,and IL-6,TNF-? were detected. Results Patients showed higher serum TC,TG,LDL-C,apoB,UA,Cys C and HsCRP than the controls. The levels in patients were(3.70? 0.66)mmol/L,(9.50?0.92)mmol/L,(4.50?0.31)mmol/L,(1.70?0.21)g/L,(1.21?0.17) mg/L,(441.4?114.7)?mol/L,(11.5?3.2)mg/L respectively, while levels in controls were(1.88? 0.66)mmol/L,(4.00?0.66)mmol/L,(2.80?0.33)mmol/L,(0.74?0.23)g/L,(0.71?0.18) mg/L,(343.0?113.9)?mol/L,(1.8?0.7)g/L respectively.Serum Cys C was positively correlated with HsCRP and UA(P

Objective To approach the clinical significance of Clara cell secretary protein(CCSP) in bronchial asthmatic children. Methods Serum were collected from 50 cases during asthmatic attacks, 22 asthmatic children who were in stable conditions, and 20 healthy children. Serum CCSP concentrations were measured by a human CCSP enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results Asthmatic children had significantly lower levels of CCSP in serum during asthmatic attacks(P

Objective:To compare the biomechanical effects between oblique Ban-pulling manipulation and lumbar erection-rotation manipulation in sitting position in treating lumbar intervertebral disc herniation (LIDH). Methods:A three-dimensional finite element model of L3-S1 was developed to carry out a comparative study between oblique Ban-pulling manipulation and lumbar erection and rotation manipulation in sitting position. The disc protrusion was assumed to be on the rear left of L4 disc, and the manipulations were performed on the right side. The loading process was simulated by two steps. In the first step, only the compression loading was imposed, and in the second step, both the compression loading and axial rotation moment were imposed. The displacement and stress distribution in L4 disc were investigated. Results:The values of stress and displacement in the second step were lower than those in the first step in each manipulation. The stress and displacement differences between the two steps were respectively 1.79 times and 3.03 times larger in oblique Ban-pulling manipulation than those in lumbar erection-rotation manipulation in sitting position. Conclusion: Oblique Ban-pulling manipulation may result in a better biomechanical effect than lumbar erection-rotation manipulation in sitting position for LIDH.
