Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(10):-
Although reports on the diagnosis of CHD angina pec-toris are plenty, yet studies on nature and typing of Zheng on its two main types, spontaneous and overworked, of anginal attacks are scarce. During the period Jan. 1985 -July 1994. we treated 92 cases of spontaneous angina pectoris and 303 cases of overworked angina on the basis of TCM syndrome typing, in the hope of giving assistance to the correcttherapy of this disease.
3.Effects of Different Extraction Methods on the Content of Cholalic Acid from Artificial Bezoar
China Pharmacy 2001;0(09):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of different extraction methods on the content of cholalic acid from Artificial Bezoar. METHODS: Artificial Bezoar from 3 different habitats was used to extract cholalic acid by hydrolization vs. hydrolization-free method, and the content of cholalic acid was determined by HPLC-ELSD(high performance liquid chromatography with evaporative light scattering detection). RESULTS: The content of cholalic acid in the hydrolyzed sample was higher than that in the non-hydrolyzed sample of the same batch. CONCLUSION: Through hydrolization, the binding cholalic acid in the artificial bezoar was transformed into free cholalic acid so that the content of cholalic acid was increased. Therefore, it is more reasonable to control the quality of Artificial Bezoar by taking the contents of total cholalic acid and free cholalic acid as indexes.

Objective: To study the effects of clarificant chitosan on contents of zinc, manganese, calcium and heavy metal lead in the water extraction liquid of chinese herbal medicines. Methods: The contents of these elements were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Results: The results indicated that the chitosan clarification could raise the transfer rate of some inorganic elements such as zinc, manganese and calcium as compared with water extraction and alcohol precipitation method,And it could also reduce the amount of heavy metal lead. Conclusion: chitosan as a clarificant is promising in the field of refining water extraction liquid of chinese herbal medicines.

OBJECTIVE:To study the implementation of scoring diseases payment under the control of total budget in some ar-eas of China, and provide reference for the further improvement of the payment. METHODS:Based on the operation process of scoring disease payment in the control of toal budget, the specific practices of Huaian,Nanchang,Zhongshan and Taiwan area, were compared. RESULTS:It showed differences in the control and allocation of total budget, the establishment of scoring diseas-es,the setup of adjustment coefficient, the development of balance methods, the complementary mechanism and the monitor exami-nation setting. CONCLUSIONS:Whether to classify the diseases according to diagnosis and treatment methods, how to setup ad-justment coefficient appropriately, how to reimburse the patients in stages and how to strengthen supervision are worthy of further thinking and exploring.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(07):-
Object To study the degree of deacetylation of chitosan and its residual amount left over in the clarified products when chitosan was used as a clarificant. Methods The free amino group in the deacetylated chitosan was determined by linear titration. Results The degree of deacetylation of chitosan was found to be about 80%. The residual amounts left over in the clarified products were lower than 10 -4 . Conclusion The results suggested that it is feasible to use chitosan as a clarificant for refining water extract of TCM.

OBJECTIVETo clarify the related factors of marginal bone loss (MBL) around tissue level implants in the posterior part of the mandible.
METHODSA total of 116 tissue level implants were implanted in the mandibular posterior region of 76 patients. Patients' information, including general characteristics, implant characteristics, implant site characteristics, and prosthesis characteristics, was recorded. Their cone beam computed tomography data were measured immediately after implant placement, 3 months later, and 3 and 12 months after prosthesis loading. The measurement of MBL was conducted by One Volume Viewer software. SPSS 20.0 was used for statistic analysis.
RESULTSSmoking, cortical bone thickness (CBT), collum angle (CA), and implant local sanitation showed significant differences with body mass loss (P<0.05). No significant differences were found among sex, age, length of implant, diameter of implants, implant systems, bone height, prosthesis type, and MBL (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe risk factors that caused MBL were smoking, thicker CBT, larger CA, and poor implant local sanitation. Among them, poor implant local sanitation had the highest correlation with MBL.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of four kinds of different contact strength on the three-dimensional displacement of an implant-supported fixed bridge using digital laser speckle photography method. An in vitro model of beagle mandible with an implant-supported fixed bridge in its right premolar region was developed. The bridge was Au-Pt metal-ceramic. The contact was recovered to four different tightnesses, named 0, 1, 2, and 3. Different axial concentrated static load was applied to abutments and bridge respectively. The three-dimensional displacement of the implant-supported fixed bridge was measured using digital laser speckle photographic method. The results demonstrated that the influence of contact tightness was mainly on the mesio-distal and buccal lingual parts. When the contact tightness reached number 3, the regularity of displacement distribution was changed. The present study proved that digital laser speckle photography was an effective method of measuring the micro-displacement. One of the criterions of contact recovering decreased the implant displacement effectively without changing the regularity of displacement distribution.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2009;37(7):1073-1081
Thiols, which are components of many proteins and simple molecules, play an important role in the cellular antioxidant defense system. The quantitative determination of thiols is important in biochemistry and clinical chemistry. Fluorescent probes, which have its apparent advantages in sensitivity and, most importantly, in imaging thiols in vivo, even in single living cells, appear to be particularly attractive. In this review, we classify the fluorescent probes based on their different reaction mechanisms with thiols and summarize the recent progresses of thiols fluorescent probes with fifty-one

Objective To assess the enhancement characteristic of breast lesions of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in comparison with contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).Methods Between August 2011 and March 2013,72 women with 72 lesions were enrolled. All patients underwent ultrasound,CEUS and MRI.The histopathologic results obtained from ultrasound-guided core biopsy or operation excisions were used as the reference standard.CEUS section evaluations were made similar with MRI regarding the size and shape of lesions.Different contrast enhancement patterns including homogeneous/heterogeneous,the tumor areas, the perfusion defect areas, and modality of time-intensity curve were evaluated.Pearson's correlation coefficient,Student's t-tests,and the concordance test were used for evaluation. Results Of the 72 lesions, pathologic examination revealed 56 (77.8%) malignant lesions and 16 (22.2%) benign lesions. The tumor areas measured by CEUS and MRI agreed well, with a correlation of r =0.894,P =0.000.The difference between the two measurements was not significant according to a paired t test (P =0.886).The concordance tests gave a value of the coefficient Kappa =-0.153 (P =0.061),indicating a low concordance between the results obtained with CEUS and those obtained with MRI regarding the enhanced uniformity. There were statistically significant differences in the perfusion defect areas as measured by CEUS and MRI (P =0.01).The CEUS estimates [(0.837 ± 0.827)cm2] were consistently higher than the MRI estimates [(0.576 ± 0.524)cm2].The time-intensity curve patterns between the two groups showed no correlation. Conclusions The enhancement patterns evaluated by CEUS and MRI partly agreed well. There was no direct association between the two methods regarding the enhancement patterns because of the different contrast agent.
