Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of biplane osteotomy in the treatment of malunion of Stephens-Sanders type Ⅱ calcaneal fracture. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted to analyze the clinical data of 31 patients who had been treated by biplane osteotomy at Sports Medicine Center, The First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University for malunion of Stephens-Sanders type Ⅱ calcaneal fracture from January 2019 to January 2022. There were 21 males and 10 females, with an age of (41.4±13.9) years and a duration from injury to diagnosis of (12.8±8.9) months. Functional and image scores were compared before surgery, 6 months after surgery, and at the last follow-up. Functional scores included the visual analogue scale (VAS) score, the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) score, and the pain interference (PI) and physical function (PF) indices in the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS). Image scores included the Gissane angle, B?hler's angle, calcaneal pitch angle, length of the calcaneus, absolute foot height, and axial calcaneal width as measured on X-rays.Results:The operation time was (106.6±29.9) minutes for this cohort. All the 31 patients were followed up for (18.4±5.8) months. At 6 months after surgery and the last follow-up, the VAS scores [3 (2, 3), 2 (1, 3)], AOFAS scores [83 (76, 87), 85 (83, 87)], PI scores [(57±9), (48±6)], PF scores [53 (39, 61), 56 (54, 66)], Gissane angles (109.6°±14.1°, 109.3°±14.9°), B?hler angles (26.5°±11.6°, 26.9°±11.8°), calcaneal pitch angles [19.1° (14.5°, 23.9°), 19.9° (14.5°, 23.9°)], absolute foot heights [(76.5±9.6) mm, (76.0±9.9) mm], and axial calcaneal widths [(38.5±4.1) mm, (38.3±4.1) mm] were all significantly improved compared to the preoperative values [5 (4, 6), 62 (56, 67), (62±6), 47 (38, 51), 126.8°±13.1°, 11.8°±10.9°, 13.8° (8.2°, 18.7°), (71.0±9.1) mm, (42.8±5.5) mm] (all P<0.05). However, there was no statistically significant difference in the length of the calcaneus among pre-surgery, 6 months after surgery, and the last follow-up ( P>0.05). Conclusion:Biplane osteotomy is a surgical technique that demonstrates good clinical efficacy in the treatment of malunion of Stephens-Sanders type Ⅱ calcaneal fracture so that it should be promoted in clinic.

Objective:To compare the safety and efficacy of laparoscopy and laparotomy for 5-10 cm intermediate-risk gastric stromal tumor, and to evaluate whether there was evident benefits of postoperative adjuvant treatment with imatinib. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on 72 patients with moderate risk gastric stromal tumors (5-10 cm in diameter) who received operation in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital from January 2010 to July 2020. There were 28 cases in the laparoscopy group and 44 cases in the laparotomy group. The clinical features, pathological data, perioperative results and hospitalization costs were compared between the two groups. The survival rates of postoperative adjuvant therapy with or without imatinib were analyzed and compared. Results:There was no significant difference in clinicopathological features between the two groups ( P>0.05). The incidences of postoperative complications in the laparoscopy group and the laparotomy group were 32.1% (9/28) and 52.3% (23/44) respectively, showing no significant difference ( P=0.094). Compared with the laparotomy group, both the hospital stay (12.5±3.2 days VS 15.0±3.5 days, P=0.004) and the median postoperative hospital stay (7.5 days VS 9.0 days, P=0.006) in the laparoscopy group were significantly shorter, and the first exhaust time was significantly shorter ( P=0.003). During the median follow-up period of 58 months (13-129 months), there was no tumor-related death. Two cases died of breast cancer and heart disease in the laparotomy group, and 1 case died irrelevant to gastric stromal tumor in the laparoscopy group. Of the 72 patients, 40 received postoperative imatinib adjuvant therapy, 22 cases (50.0%) in the laparotomy group and 18 cases (64.3%) in the laparoscopy group, with no significant difference in the proportion ( χ2=1.414, P=0.234). There was significant difference in the overall survival rate between the group treated with imatinib and the group without imatinib ( P=0.015). Conclusion:Laparoscopic resection is safe and effective for intermediate-risk gastric stromal tumor of 5-10 cm. Taking imatinib adjuvant treatment does not increase overall survival rate of patients with intermediate-risk gastric stromal tumors (5-10 cm), and there is no tumor-related death, recurrence or metastasis for those who did not accept imatinib adjuvant treatment after R0 resection.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2022;34(4):380-384
Objective:
To investigate the origin of infection and risk factors of a case with SARS-CoV-2 infection associated with overseas countries in the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide the evidence for improving the COVID-19 control measures at ports.
Methods:
Ningbo Center for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC ) and Beilun CDC conducted case finding and epidemiological surveys immediately after being informed. The general information, history of vaccination and the travel during the latest 14 days were collected from the positive case, and all close contacts were tracked. Saliva samples were collected for SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid testing and whole-genome sequencing, and the sequencing results were aligned with the GISAID's EpiCoV database. The origin of infection and transmission route of the positive case was investigated.
Results:
A case was identified positive for SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid during company M's routine screening in the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port on August 10, 2021, and was confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid by Beilun CDC and Ningbo CDC on August 11. Whole-genome sequencing showed SARS-CoV-2 B.1.617.2 ( Delta ) variant, which shared the highest homology with the virus sequence uploaded by Russia on June, 2021 ( Russia/MOW-RII-MH27356S/2021 ). The case was a bundling worker for overseas container ships, and reported communicated with foreign boatmen and contacted materials without protected interventions on the SINOKOR AKITA Container Ship between August 4 and 5, 2021. This ship anchored at Vladivostok, Russia from July 27 to 29, anchored at Ningbo Harbor on August 4, and departed on August 5. Then, 11 boatmen from this ship were tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid on August 8. One asymptomatic case was reported in this epidemic; 254 close contacts and 617 secondary close contacts were identified, and all were tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid. No new cases with SARS-CoV-2 infections were detected until August 25, 2021, and the emergency response was therefore terminated.
Conclusions
The infection was a sporadic COVID-19 epidemic associated with overseas countries, which was caused by Delta variant infection through contacts with foreign boatmen or materials by a bundling worker in Ningbo-Zhoushan Port; fortunately, no epidemic spread occurred. Intensified closed-loop management and increased frequency of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid test among high-risk populations, and improving the precision and rapid emergency treatment of COVID-19 epidemics are required for the containment of COVID-19 at ports.

Twitching motility is very important for Pseudomonas aeruginosa in the adaptation of surface environment and in the 3-D structure formation of mature biofilm. To quantitatively characterize twitching motility in situ, we developed a method by combining high-throughput data acquisition, automatic image processing and database establishment. This method is based on single cell analysis and big data visualization. A periodic relaxation of 0.9 second was resolved during slingshot motility analysis. Twitching motilities of bacteria under addition of two quorum sensing signaling molecules were studied, cells moved faster after signal addition. This method may help understand the molecular mechanism and regulatory circuits of twitching motility.

Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases 2017;25(8):523-529
Objective:
To evaluate the effects and clinical application of molar intrusion with a new mandibular molar intrusion appliance.
Methods :
7 patients who needed mandibular molars intrusion to correct open-bite were selected. To evaluate effects of molar intrusion, clinical examination, dental model analysis and aphalometric analysis by Winceph 7.0 software were used before and after intrusion treatment, SPSS 17.0 software was used for data analysis.
Results :
All the mandibular molars were intruded successfully in an average time of 4.0 months. Cephalometric analysis before and after treatment showed that the average amount of mandibular first molars intrusion were (1.92 ± 0.44) mm.The vertical distance to the reference plane (MP plane) per and post treatment was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The average amount of maxillary first molar intrusion was (0.36 ± 0.25) mm, with no significant difference in vertical distances to reference plane (PP plane) (P > 0.05). No signs of root resorption was obsersed in radiograph of the intruded mandibular molars.
Conclusion
The new mandibular molar intrusion appliance has a remarkable clinical effect in correcting anterior open bite without obvious periodontal tissue damage and root resorption. teeth intrusion with the new appliance has a significant effect without apparent destruction of the periodontal tissue and root resorption.
