Objective To discuss the effect of somatostain SS on metabolism of free radicals in animal models of osteoarthritis,so to discuss the treatment mechanism of intra- articular injection of somatostatin on osteoarthritis.MethodsForty experimental Japanese big-ear rabbits were randomly divided into four groups:normal control group,blank model group,normal saline group and SS group,n =10 for each group.After modeling,the rats in SS group and normal saline group received intra- articular injection of somatostain and saline respectively on the right knee.Ten weeks after the modeling,we measured the movement of right knee joint in rabbits,the levels of nitric oxide ( NO ) and hyaluronic acid (HA) in serum from the heart blood,and the activity of SOD and the content of MDA in synovial tissue.Results Compared with the blank model group,the movement of the knee joint was significantly increased in SS group,(96.01 ± 1.06)vs (50.21 ± 1.80) (P ＜ 0.01 ).In the blank model group,the levels of NO and HA (μmoL/mL) in serum were ( 111.60 ± 2.76) and ( 309.11 ± 1.89 ),which was significantly decreased in SS group,which was( 80.14 ± 1.67 ) and ( 133.73 ± 2.75 ) ( P1 =0.0049,P2 =0.0052,P ＜ 0.01 ).Compared with the blank model group,the SOD activity was (15.77 ± 2.76) and the MDA in serum nmol/mg prot was( 1.33 ±1.03),while was significantly increased in SS group,(24.74 ± 1.67) ( P ＜ 0.01 ),and the levels of MDA in serum was significantly decreased in the SS group,(0.89 ±1.46) (P＜0.01).Conclusion Intra-articular injection of somatostatin in knee osteoarthritis can improve the oxidative stress,enhance the activity of the knee joint.

Objective:To study the relationship between graduate students'personalities, life events and psychic symptom.Methods:828 graduate students in Tianjin were investigated, their psychosomatic symptoms were rated with SCL-90 and psychosocial factors were assessed with Cattell 16 Personality Factors Questionnaire and Life Event Scale.Result:The first three factors in the psychosomatic symptoms were displayed in order: Obsession-compulsion(0.67?0.55), Interpersonal sensitivity (0.61?0.56), and Depression(0.50?0.51).The personalities were revealed as follows: E (6.23?1.69) , F(6.23?1.80) and Q 4(6.12?1.10), these factors were higher than Chinese norm, L (3.82?1.62), O (4.64?1.70) and I (4.86?1.62) were lower than norm.Conclusion:Male, having siblings, engineer and negative scores of work and study are risk factors for psychosomatic symptoms, whereas medical staff is a protective one.

This study was aimed to observe the influence of Kang-Xian Y i-Xin (KXYX) formula on the heart size and cardiac function of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). A total of 85 cases were randomly divided into the treatment group (43 cases) and the control group (42 cases, with 1 death case). Both groups were treated with routine western medicine. And the KXYX formula was combined in the treatment group once a day. Six months later, changes of the left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left atrial diameter (LAd), ejection fraction (EF) and fractional shortening (FS) were observed by ultrasonography. The results showed that both groups can reduce the LVEDD and Lad. And the effect was obvious in the treatment group (P< 0.05). There was significant difference in the LVEDD of both groups after treatment (P< 0.05). The EF and FS were raised obviously in both groups. There was significant difference before and after treatment in the treatment group (P < 0.01). There was statistical differ-ence between groups after treatment (P< 0.05). It was concluded that the KXYX formula can decrease the LVEDD, Lad, enhance EF and FS, in order to promote the cardiac function of patients with DCM.

Objective To investigate the role of the extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 and 2 (ERK1/2) in rotenone-mediated dopaminergic cell damage. Methods Neuronal rat adrenal pheochromecytoma(PC12) cells treated with rotenone were used as the cell model of Parkinson' s disease (PD). Cell viability of PC12 cells after exposure to rotenone was detected by MTT (methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium) method. Immanohistechemistry was used to detect the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 in cells exposed to rotenone. Western blotting was used to verify the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and to observe the effect of PD98059, an inhibitor of the upstream mitogen activated protein kinase kinase (MEK) that phosphorylates and activates ERK1/2, on rotenone-induced ERK1/2 phosphorylation and cell viability.Results The viability (represented by A570 of PC12 cells exposed to 5 μmoL/L rotenone) declined with the increase of exposure time from 1 h to 24 h (%, 1 h :75.46±5.47, 2 h : 70.42±1.94, 4 h : 65.23± 0.96, 8 h : 59.04 ± 2.85, 24 h :29.64 ± 1.63, comparison between different time points(F=143.014, P=0.000) ; compared with control groups(100.00±2.89), q value: 17.07, 20.58, 24. 19, 28.50, 48.95 respectively, all P <0.01). After exposure to rotenone, phosphorylated ERK1/2 aggregated in the PC12 cells. Western blotting indicated that rotenone induced a biphasic phosphorylation of ERK1/2, which increased from 30 min after rotenone treatment, reached the peak at 1-2 h, decreased at 4 h, and increased again at 8 h, and disappeared after 16 h; PD98059 significantly inhibited ERK1/2 phosphorylation induced by rotenone, and attenuated cell injury examined at 1, 2 and 8 h. Conclusions Our study suggested that ERK1/2 activation plays a detrimental role in rotenone toxicity, and raised the possibility that abnormal patterns of ERK1/2 activation may contribute to dopaminergic neuronal cell death in PD.

Objective To study the feasibility,effectiveness and safety of temporary pacing at the right ventricular outflow tract area in patients with inferior acute myocardial infarction(AMI)and two or three degree atrioventricular block(AVB). Methods Ninety-five patients with inferior AMI and two or three degree AVB admitted into Cangzhou People's Hospital were randomly divided into right ventricular apex pacing group(47 cases) and right ventricular outflow tract region pacing group(48 cases). Seldinger method was used to perform the right femoral vein puncture in which a 6F sheath tube was placed,and a diode temporary pacing electrode was introduced into it in the two groups. Under the X-ray guidance,in the right ventricular apex pacing group,the electrode was pushed from the inferior vena cava to enter into the right atrium,then cross the tricuspid and finally reach the right ventricular apical portion pacing. In the right ventricular outflow tract region pacing group,under the X-ray guidance, after the electrode was withdrawn and rotated slightly clockwise,it was sent forward to the right ventricular outflow tract region pacing. The duration from the puncture at the right femoral vein to the implanted electrode reaching the pacing region,the pacing threshold,the un-favorable pacing,the incidence of ventricular arrhythmia and prognosis were observed in the two groups. Results The pacing time and pacing threshold in right ventricular apex pacing group were obviously higher than those in the right ventricular outflow tract region pacing group〔pacing time(s):336±150 vs. 354±152,pacing threshold(V):0.9±0.4 vs. 0.7±0.3,both P<0.05〕. The mortality in intensive care unit (ICU)〔0(0/48)vs. 2.13%(1/47)〕,the incidence of bad pacing〔10.42%(5/48)vs. 17.02%(8/47)〕and ventricular fibrillation(VF),sustained ventricular tachycardia,contraction of non-sustained ventricular tachycardia or frequent ventricular premature beat(VPB)and other arrhythmia incidence of complications〔10.42%(5/48)vs. 12.77%(6/47)〕in the right ventricular outflow tract region pacing group were all lower than those in the right ventricular apex pacing group. Conclusion The application of right ventricular outflow tract pacing in patients with inferior AMI and two or three degree AVB is safe and effective,and its stability is fine.

METHODS: Ventricular remodeling model was induced by giving Furazolidone in wistar rats for 8 weeks and survival rats were divided into 5 groups(14 rats each group) after another 8 weeks,all the rats were killed.The effects of Kangxian Yixin Extract on typeⅠand type Ⅲ collagen gene expression were determined with SP and RT-PCR methods. Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of acridine orange fluorescene(AO-F) in bladder cancers. Methods One thousand and sixteen bladder cancer patients were reviewed retro-spectively. The positive-rates of AO-F in different stages, grades, size, quantity, position of tumors, hematuria and treatment ways were evaluated. Results The total positive rate of AO-F was 78.05 % (793/1016). The positive-rate was 74.69% (611/818) in superficial stage and 91.92% (182/198) in invasive bladder cancer, 67.24% (351/522) in grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ , 90. 37% (413/457) in grade Ⅲ. The percentage of positive AO-F was 80.30% (750/934) in patients with hematuria, 52.44% (43/82) in patients without hematuria. The percentage was 79.87% (710/889) when the tumor size was more than 2 cm, 65.35% (83/127) when size less than 2 cm. 83.07% (363/437) sample was positive in multiple tumors, 74.27% (430/579) in single tumor. The percentage was 77.21% (105/136) in tumors involving trigone or neck of bladder, 78.07% (687/880) in tumors without involving these re-gions. There was 69.68% (393/564) in treatment with TURBt, 87.87% (268/305) in partial resec-tion, 91.74% (100/109) in total resection. A good association was observed between stage, grade, hematuria appearance, tumor size, quantity of carcinoma, treatment way and AO-F positive-rate, and a linear correlation was present between grade, stage and positive cytology. There was no significant association between position of the tumor and AO-F positive-rate. Conclusions The function of AO-F is significant in diagnosis of bladder cancer.

Objective To explore vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C),vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 (VEGFR-3) in the bladder cancer tissue of the expression and the relationship with the tumor lymph node metastases of bladder cancer tissue,Methods The VEGF-C,VEGFR-3 expression was detected by Elivision TM plus two footwork.Results In 18 cases of bladder cancer organization,VEGF-C expression positive rate was 72％,VEGFR-3 express positive rate was 67％.VEGF-C in the bladder cancer of the transfer of the expression level compared to the lymph nodes of the transfer of the lymph node has not occurred to high.Conclusion In the bladder cancer organization and the surroundinglymph nodes,VEGF-C,VEGFR-3 expression level and lymph node metastasis is closely related.VEGF-C,VEGFR-3 expression intensity can be used as a lymph node metastasis in bladder cancer index.
