Objective To evaluate the feasibility and safety of stent implantation in treating patients with symptomatic vertebral artery kinking. Methods Forty-two patients with vertebral artery kinking confirmed by digital subtraction angiography and accorded with the stent implantation indications were chosen in our study; these patients were performed stent implantation. The stenosis and haemodynamics changes, and recent and postoperative complications were observed; Malek scale was adopted to evaluate the clinical efficacy during the 1-year follow-up. Results The success rate of stent implantation for patients with symptomatic vertebral artery kinking was 100%(42/42). The percentage of stenosis was significantly reduced from (75.6 ± 13.5)%to (8.3 ± 3.1)%after stenting, and the mean flow velocity of kinking lesion was obviously decreased from (49.5 ± 12.4) cm/s to (31.7 ± 15.0) cm/s, and there were statistical differences (P<0.01). The cerebellum hematoma was noted in 1 patient , subcutaneous hematoma of puncture point appeared in 2 and femoral artery pseudoaneurysm after the stenting in 1;all these complications did not cause serious consequences. Malek scale indicated that 36 cases got 1 point,4 cases got 2 points, 1 case got 3 points, 1 case got 4 points and no one got 5 points;36 patients (85.7%, 36/42) were asymptomatic during the 1-year follow-up;no significant in-stent restenosis was found. Conclusions Symptomatic vertebral artery kinking can be treated safely and effectively with stent implantation.

Objective To investigate relations between villus Benzo (a)pyrene (BaP)-DNA adducts and blighted ovum in early pregnancy, and to explore possible environmental factors influencing embryo development. Methods One hundred and two pregnant women with blighted ovum were selected into this study as research group; and 102 normal pregnant women were taken as control group; the age, gravidity, parity and gestational weeks of the two groups were matched. After artificial abortion, villi of the patients were collected and washed by normal saline. Then, the tissue was homogenated and genome DNA was extracted to detect quantity of the tissue. BaP-DNA adducts levels were examined by high-performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence method (HPLC). The personal information of pregnant women was collected by questionnaire. Logistic regression model was used to investigate the association between BaP-DNA adducts and blighted ovum. Results BaP-DNA adducts level in villi of research group [(8. 9±8. 2) adducts/108 nucleotides] was significantly higher than that of control group [(2. 0±1. 4) adducts/108 nucleotides], P＜0.05. The higher the BaP-DNA adducts in villi, the higher risk the blighted ovum; when the BaP-DNA adducts level increased to 6.06 adducts/108 nucleotides, the risk of blighted ovum might increase 59.39 times (95% CI:15.50-227.55). Maternal education level was a protective factor (OR=-0.21, 95%CI:-0. 19--0.03) after controlling potential confounders. Conclusions High level of villi BaP-DNA adducts might increase the risk of blighted ovum in early pregnancy, and could have an adverse effect on embryo development.

AIM: To investigate the influence and mechanism of recombinant interleukin-13 (rIL-13) on fibroblasts. METHODS: 3T3 fibroblasts were divided into two groups: the treated group was treated with rIL-13 (80 ?g/L, 24 h or 48 h) and the control was without rIL-13 treatment. Transmission electron microscope and Hoechst kit were used to observe morphology of 3T3 fibroblasts in both groups. The activity of proliferation in both groups was investigated and compared by MTT means. Western blot was used to analyze the level of collagen type I induced by rIL-13 in fibroblasts. The levels of IL-6 and IL-8 in the culture supernatants were determined by radioimmunoassay. RESULTS: The more ribosomes and mitochondrions, as well as bigger nuclei were found in the treated group. Objective To investigate factors with pelvic adhesions and the effect of different degrees pelvic adhesions on fallopian tube recanalization in infertile patients.Methods Total of 527 infertile patients undergoing hysteroscopy and laparoscopic surgery in Affiliated Hospital of Chinese People's Armed Police Forccs Logistics College were studied retrospectively.According to the extent of pelvic adhesions,tubal umbrella adhesions and atresia,377 cases were classified into adhesion groups,including 73 cases in grade Ⅰ,221 cases in grade Ⅱ,75 cases in grade Ⅲ and 8 cases in grade Ⅳ based on adhesion score.The 150 cases with no obvious pelvic adhesion were matched as control group.Among 8 cases with grade Ⅳ ahesion were exluded from ahesion group the relationship between pelvic adhesions and related history,abdominal lesions,tubal patency and the prognosis were studied.Results(1)Related factors:the frequency of pelvic adhesion and more than 7 years of infertility of 23.9％(88/369)in adhesion group were significantly higher than 12.0％(18/150)in control groups.(2)History:compared with the control group(12.7 ％,19/150;28.7％,43/150;11.3％,17/150;12.0％,18/150;17.3％,26/150),patients with pelvic adhesions present more incidence abortion(23.6％,87/369),uterine cavity operation(38.2％,141/369),ectopic pregnancy(20.9％,77/369),pelvic inflammatory disease(25.5％,94/369)and abdominopelvic surgery (31.4％,116/369).(3)Endoscopy exploration:the incidence of hydrosalpinx(24.7％,91/369),tube distorted(15.7％,58/369)and salpingostomy(72.9％,269/369)in adhesion group were higher than those in control group(2.0％,3/150;4.0％,6/150;12.0％,18/150),but relatively lower incidence of pelvic endometriosis lesions(5.7％,21/369)and mesosalpinx cysts(16.3％,60/369)than those in control group(16.0％,24/150;30.0％,45/150).The rate of proximal tubal recanalization(59.5％,91/153)in adhesion group was lower than 75.4％(52/69)in control group.However,the rate of distant tubal recanalization of 84.4％,(281/333)in adhesion group and;13/15 in control group didn't show statistical difference.(4)Prognosis:the rate of ectopic pregnancy of 9.7％(29/299)in adhesion group was significantly higher than 3.1％(4/128)in control group.Among cases with grade Ⅲ adhesion exhibited the highest rate of ectopic pregnancy(13.0％,7/54;OR =4.62,95％ CI:1.29-16.50).(5)Multivariate analysis:it was found that more than two drug abortions(OR =3.29,95％ CI:1.34-8.07),pelvic and (or)abdominal surgery history(OR =2.20,95％ CI:1.35-3.57)and pelvic inflammatory disease history (OR =1.54,95％ CI:1.21-1.97)were risk factors with pelvic adhesions.Conclusion More than or equal to two drug abortion history,pelvic inflammatory disease and pelvic and abdominal surgery damage were important factors for pelvic adhesions of infertility patients,which may decrease the possibility of proximal tubal recanalization and increase ectopic pregnancy risk.

Objective To investigate perfusion imaging and parameters of normal pancreas by dual-source CT and to evaluate the appropriate perfusion imaging scan.Methods Sixty-six subjects with normal pancreas underwent low-dose pancreatic perfusion and plain scan.CT images were sent to a separate workstation via a network.The blood flow (BF)and blood volume (BV)of pancreas head,body and tail were measured using the VPCT Body software and analyzed by one-way ANOVA.Then the time-density curve of pancreas was drawn,and the enhancement peak time and the corresponding CT value were also measured.Results The average BF values of pancreas head,body and tail were (1 1 6.09 ± 31.83)mL·100 g-1 ·min-1 ,(1 1 9.72±32.50)mL·100 g-1 ·min-1 , (1 14.65±31.42)mL·100 g-1 ·min-1 ,and the mean BV values were (29.83 ±1 9.07)mL/100 g,(30.39 ± 1 9.38)mL/100 g, (28.82±1 9.22)mL/100 g,respectively.The perfusion parameters in different pancreatic parts were not statistically different.The mean enhancement peak time was (27.92 s±4.52)s,(28.02±5.34)s in pancreas head,(27.40±4.36)s in pancreas body,(27.34±4.57)s in pancreas tail.On plain image,the average CT value of pancreas was (41.43±5.88)HU.However,on enhanced image,the mean CT value was (95.96±18.44)HU in normal pancreas [(96.73±19.71)HU in pancreas head,(98.45±17.52)HU in body,(92.69±18.1 7)HU in tail].Conclusion The perfusion parameters including blood flow and blood volume in pancreatic head,body and tail are identical. The mean enhancement peak time is (27.92±4.52)s,and the corresponding enhancement CT value is (95.96±18.44)HU.

Objective To detect the ZAP-70 and CD38 expression in these patients with chronic B lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL) and explore their relationship and clinical significance. Methods The expressions of ZAP-70 and CD38 in bone marrow or peripheral blood of 21 patients with B-CLL were detected by flow cytometry. Results ZAP-70 was positively expressed in 9 of all patients, CD38 was positive in 8 of all patients. ZAP-70 and CD38 were both expressed in 8 patients, ZAP-70 and CD38 were none expressed in 8 patients. Conclusion CD38 and ZAP-70 expression can offer important prognostic information. Cases of B-CLL positive for ZAP-70 and CD38 indicate a worse prognosis. There is a good correlation between these new prognostic factors.

Objective To investigate the expression and the clinical significance of Lewis y antigen and Mucin 1 (MUC1),as well as to evaluate the correlation between them in epithelial ovarian tumor.Methods The expression of Lewis y antigen and MUC1 in 60 cases of epithelial ovarian malignant tumors,30 cases of borderline ovarian tumors,30 cases of benign ovarian tumors and 20 cases of normal ovarian tissues were detected by immunohistochemical staining.The relationship between Lewis y antigen and MUC1,and their relationship with biology characteristic of ovarian carcinoma were analyzed.An immunofluorescence double labeling methods was performed to detect the correlation between Lewis y antigen and MUC1.Results In malignant epithelial ovarian tumors,the positive rates of Lewis y antigen was 88.33％,which was significantly higher than the positive rates in borderline(60.00％,x2 =9.6405,P ＜0.01) and benign ovarian tumors(33.33％,x2 =28.8095,P ＜0.01) and normal ovarian samples (0,x2 =52.3457,P ＜ 0.01).The positive rates of Lewis y antigen had nothing to do with the clinical pathological parameters of ovarian tumor,but the expression intensity of Lewis yantigen was increased with the development of the malignant degree(P ＜ 0.05).The positive rates of MUC1 in malignant epithelial ovarian tumors was also significantly higher than that in borderline,benign ovarian tumors and normal ovarian samples (86.67％ vs 53.33％,30.00％,25.00％,x2 =12.0321,29.4064,27.8464 ; P ＜0.01).And the expression intensity of MUC1 also increased with the development of clinical stage(P ＜0.01),but had nothing to do with the lymph node metastasis and histological grade(P ＞ 0.05).In ovarian cancer,both Lewis y antigen and MUC1 were highly expressed,and their expression levels were positively correlated (r =0.707,P ＜0.01),and Lewis y antigen colocalized with MUC1.Conclusion Both Lewis y antigen and MUC1 are associated with the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer.Lewis y antigen and MUC1 might be a sigh of biological behavior in ovarian cancers,and this study provides theoretical evidence of ovarian cancer biological treatment.

Objective To observe the expression of AdipoQ in Sj?gren's syndrome (SS) mice and its role in inflammation was investigated by recombinant gene transfection study in vivo. Methods As spon-taneous SS mice model, a total of 30 NOD mice were divided into 3 groups randomly: recombinant adenovirus (rADV-AdipoQ) group, normal saline control and simple adenoviruses (control group). The submandibular gland morphology, histopathological grading and the level of serum tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), AdipoQ was compared between the three groups. The expression of AdipoQ on mice submandibular gland was assessed by means of semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction. Results The submandibular glands of the mice of the control group were destructed, with focal lymphocytic infiltration and acinus atrophy. Compared with control model groups, the serum TNF-α and salivary gland AdipoQ expression was significantly down-regulated in the rADV-AdipoQ group [(248 ±30) vs (162 ±73) ng/ml] (P<0.05). Conclusion AdipoQ gene transfected SS mice can significantly improve the morphological features of tissues and decrease the concentration of TNF-αin serum, in addition, it can effectively inhibit inflammation, decrease the degree of protein and AdipoQgene expression. So the AdipoQ may be the protective gene in SS mice.

Objective To study on the relationship between the TCM Syndromes and neurological impairment of stroke patients.Methods The clinical data of ischemic stroke which based on the clinical information collecting platform was extracted to test whether there was a linear relationship between the Criterion for Diagnosis and Differentiation of Syndromes of Stroke (CDDSS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) by means of SPSS 12.0 and genetic algorithm.If there was not a linear relationship between CDDSS and NIHSS,the nonlinear relationship was to be tested by means of BP nerve net,LVQ nerve net,Fuzzy ARTMAP nerve net and Support Vector Machine (SVM).Results There was no linear relationship existed between CDDSS and NIHSS with the application of SPSS 12.0 and genetic algorithm.There existed a complicated nonlinear relationship between CDDSS and NIHSS by using BP nerve net,LVQ nerve net,Fuzzy ARTMAP nerve net and Support Vector Machine (SVM).Conclusion Between CDDSS and NIHSS,there isn't a linear relationship,but a complicated nonlinear relationship.
