Objective To investigate the effective of FGF-23(R176Q)overexpression of adult mouse mandible formation and mineralization. Methods CT scanning, serological examination,HE staining, immunohistochemical staining and RT-PCR analysis were used to compared mandible of FGF-23(R176Q)transgenic mice(TG group)and wild type mice(WT group),serum calcium and phosphorus concentrations mandibule formation and mineralization were analysised. Results Serum calcium, phosphorus and 1, 25(OH)2 D3 concentrations in WT group were significantly higher than that in TG group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05);the Ob.s/B.Pm TG group was lower than that of WT group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);the positive percentage of Biglycan in TG group was higher than that in WT group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);the OCN and type I collagen mRNA levels in the WT group were significantly higher than that in TG group, the difference were statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion FGF-23(R176Q)overexpression can inhibit the formation of mandible, reduce the formation of mineralized, and reduce the development of the mandible.

Progress in Modern Biomedicine 2008;8(5):924-927
Based on signal to noise ratio and probabilistic neural network method associated with experimental data, all analysis model in gastric carcinoma is presented.According to the available information, the samples of gastric carcinoma can be tested and ana.Lyzed.The signal to noise ratio is first calculated.Secondly, records in the database are chosen as a training set to build a probabilistie neural network model and the feature subset is selected according to accuracy. Finally, test set is to test accuracy of model. The model is implemented using MATLAB,and it can be generalized and applied to similar disease auxiliary diagnosis region.

Objective To investigate the ex pr ession of squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC-Ag) and carcinoembryanic antigen (CEA) and its clinical significance in patients with lung cancer. Meth ods The pre-treatment serum from 134 patients with lung cancer from 1998 to 2002 were analyzed for the SCC-Ag level and CEA level by IMX, and the correlation of the SCC-Ag level and CEA level with the clinicopathologic charac teristics were also detected. Results Significant correlations were found between the pre -treatment SCC-Ag level, and CEA level and the pathologic classification, clin ical stage, the positive rate of diagnosing lung cancer was raised by combined a ssay with serum SCC-Ag and CEA. Conclusion Pre-treatment and after-treatment measurement of serum SCC-Ag level and CEA level can be used for diagnosis, prediction of pr ognosis and monitor of after-treatment recurrence in patients with lung cancer.

Objective To investigate the clinical significa nc e and the relationship between the serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC-A g) levels and the biological characteristics in patients with cervical carcinoma . Methods The pre-post-treatment sera from 500 patients w ith cervical carcinoma from 1998 to 2002 were analyzed for the SCC-Ag levels by IMX; and the correlation between the SCC-Ag level and the clinicopathologic ch aracteristics were also detected. Results Significant corre lation was found between the pre-treatment SCC-Ag level and pathologic classif ication, and clinical stage (P0.05); The pre-treatm ent SCC-Ag level is significantly higher than that of post-treatment (P

Objective To observe the efficacy of percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) combined with zoledronic acid in treatment of spinal metastatic carcinoma. Methods Fifty cases of spinal metastatic carcinoma were divided into control group and treatment group by random digits table method with 25 cases each. The control group was given zoledronic acid 4 mg,intervals of 28 d intravenous drip 1 time. The treatment group was given PVP besides zoledronic acid. The visual analog scale score, activity ability score and analgesic usage score after treatment for 3 months were observed and compared. The quality of life was evaluated and the occurrence of relapse of fracture was also recorded. Results After treatment for 3 months, the visual analog scale score, activity ability score and analgesic usage score were (2.00 ± 0.17),(2.12 ± 1.38),(1.47 ± 0.10) scores in treatment group, and (7.84 ± 0.18),(3.21 ± 0.13),(3.30 ± 0.09) scores in control group, and there were significant differences between two groups (P < 0.01 or < 0.05).The occurrence of relapse of fracture was 2 cases (8%,2/25) in treatment group and 9 cases (36%,9/25) in control group, and there was significant difference between two groups (P < 0.05).Conclusions PVP combined with zoledronic acid in treatment of spinal metastatic carcinoma has many advantages such as small incision, short surgery time and rapid relief from pain.It can obviously improve the quality of life, and it is worthy of spreading in the clinic.

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2009;18(3):178-181
[Objective] China is one of high hepatitis B virus (HBV)-epidemic areas. The role of HBV and nonHodgkin lymphoma (NHL) has also recently been investigated. There is significantly higher prevalence rate of HBV infection among patients with NHL compared with other solid tumor and general population. HBV reactivation during chemotherapy is, however, a real concern. Several previous studies have reported increased risks of liver-related morbidity and mortality. The use of prophylactic anti-HBV drugs can effectively reduce the incidence and severity of hepatitis among HBV-infected patients who received chemotherapy for NHL.
