Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the effect of CDA-Ⅱ on t he expression of cyclin D1 of breast cancer cells. Methods The br east carcinoma cell lines MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 were cultured in vitro tog ether with CDA-Ⅱ, with retinoic acid as positive control, and the effect of CD A-Ⅱ on the growth curve as well as the expression of cyclin D1 of breast carci noma cell lines was observed. Results CDA-Ⅱ may reduce the gr owth of MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231, cripple their proliferative ability and inhibit the cyclin D1 expression of breast cancer cell lines. Conclusion CDA-Ⅱ may inhibit the growth and proliferation of MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231, reduce the expression of breast carcinoma cell cyclin D1, hence showed a good a pplied prospect for the treatment of breast carcinoma.

Objective To analyze factors influencing β-blocker response rates of patients with portal hypertension and to explore the effect of nursing interference for increasing response rates with goal-directed nursing model. Methods 83 cases of portal hypertension were enrolled.Questionnaire about medical visiting behaviors and medication compliance were compared and analyzed after routine medication for 3 months.Bivariate and multivariate regression analysis were performed and related factors were used to establish a goal-directed nursing model for nursing interference guidance.52 non-response patients were randomly divided into the study group(27 cases)and the control group(25 cases). In the study group, compensation system and supportive-education according to Orem model were given, while the control group was given routine nursirng.Response rates and related factors were compared after 3 months of nursing intervention. Results Awareness of self-care responsibility, knowledge about the medication target, risk of sudden drug withdrawal, related medical knowledge, ability for pulse rate measurement and dose adjustment according to pulse rate changes were related to the response rates.Multivariate regression analysis showed that awareness of self-care responsibility, sudden drug withdrawal, utilization of social support and regular return visit were the independent factors. In the study group, ability for pulse rate measurement and dose adjustment acconding to pulse rate changes improved, phenomenon of sudden drug withdrawal declined and response rate increased, comparing with the control grpup. Conclusins For patients fail to respond to β-blockers,compliance behavior and medication compliance should be analyzed, and much attention should be paid to the education of the related medical knowledge, risk of sudden drug withdrawal and drag using targets.Goal-directed medel could be a guidance for nursing intervention to increase the response rates.

Objective To systematically review the myocardial protective effect of ischemic preconditioning in patients undergoing open heart surgery. Methods PubMed,EMBASE,Highwire,CENTREN and its affiliated clinical trial registration data center,CBM and CNKI were searched to identify all randomized controlled trials involving the myocardial protective effect of ischemic preconditioning in patients undergoing open heart surgery under general anesthesia. The quality of the studies was evaluated by the method recommended by Cochrane Collaboration.Evaluation indexes included the incidences of postoperative cardiac death, myocardial infarction and ventricular arrhythmias and postoperative inotropic drug requirement.Meta-analysis was conducted using the Cochrane Collaboration's RevMan 5.0 software. Results Twelve randomized controlled trials (8 high-quality trials and 4 medium-quality trials) involving 626 patients were included in our Meta-analysis.Meta-analysis indicated that ischemic proconditioning significantly reduced the incidence of postoperative ventricular arrhythmias and postoperative inotropic drug requirement (P < 0.05) and had no effect on the incidences of postoperative cardiac death and myocardial infarction (P > 0.05).Conclusion Ischemic preconditioning can reduce the postoperative ventricular arrhythmias and have no effect on postoperative cardiac death and myocardial infarction in patients undergoing open heart surgery.

Objective To explore the feasibility and clinical effects of rotary cutter in laparoscopic splenectomy in treatment of traumatic spleen rupture. Methods The study retrospectively identified 10 cases with traumatic spleen rupture treated with laparoscopic splenectomy from June 2014 to June 2016.Results Total laparoscopic splenectomy combined with rotary cutter was completed successfully in 9 cases and 1 case was converted to open laparotomy due to intraoperative uncontrollable hemorrhage. The former operative time was 95 ~ 170 min, the estimated intraoperative amount of blood loss was 300 ~ 800 ml and autologous blood transfusion of 400 ~ 1 200 ml was conducted. The postoperative hospital stay was 8 ~ 14 d. No serious complications were found in the cases followed-up for 3 ~ 24 months after operation. Conclusion Laparoscopic splenectomy combined with rotary cutter is not only feasible and safe but also has the merits of minimally invasive surgery. It can be applied in treating those with abdominal trauma and with benign lesions in spleen. So it deserved promotion and application in clinical work.

BACKGROUND: Tissue-engineered spinal cord has brought new treatment ideas for spinal cord repair.OBJECTIVE: To construct the tissue-engineered spinal cord by chitosan alginate scaffold and adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs), and to investigate its repairing effects on acute spinal cord injury in rats.METHODS: The spinal cord hemisection model was established in 48 Sprague-Dawley rats and then, rat models were randomly divided into four groups: model group, scaffold group, ADMSCs group and tissue-engineered spinal cord group, followed by direct suturing of the dura mater, implantation of chitosan alginate scaffold, implantation of ADMSCs, and implantation of tissue-engineered spinal cord, respectively. The limb motor function of rats was evaluated based on the Basso-Beattie-Bresnahan score at 1, 3, 7 weeks after transplantation. Immunofluorescence staining and hematoxylin-eosin staining of the spinal cord specimens were performed at 7 weeks after transplantation.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Motor function of the hind limb: At 3 and 7 weeks after transplantation, the Basso-Beattie-Bresnahan score was highest in the tissue-engineered spinal cord followed, followed by the ADMSCs and scaffold groups, and lowest in the model group (P < 0.05). (2) Immunofluorescence and hematoxylin-eosin staining: in the model group, the spinal cord injury area was infiltrated with a large number of fibroblasts and inflammatory cells. In the scaffold group, there was no scar formation; neuron-specific enolase-positive cells, glial fibrillary acidic protein-positive cells and a few neurofilament protein 200-positive cells were found in the junctional area. In the ADMSCs group, the spinal cord injury area was filled with scar tissue, and a large number of glial fibrillary acidic protein-positive cells were found. In the tissue-engineered spinal cord group, there was no scar tissue, and there were a large number of neuron-specific enolase-positive cells, a small amount of CM-Dil-labeled ADMSCs and more glial fibrillary acidic protein-positive cells. Neurofilament protein 200 positive cells were connected to each other at the junction. These findings indicate that the tissue-engineered spinal cord constructed by chitosan alginate scaffold and ADMSCs can promote spinal cord repair after acute spinal cord injury.
