0.05].Sao and Eao was significantly different between CHD group and the control group, but Aao has not significant different.③Sao positively correlated with ascending aortic distensibility coefficient(D)(r=0.73,P=0.03),and negatively correlated with aortic stiffness(?)(r=-0.68,P=0.03).Conclusion:Elastic properties of the aorta can directly be assessed by measuring the movements in the upper wall of the aorta with DTI.Reduced aortic S-velocity is significantly correlated with Ascending aortic distensibility coefficient(D) and stiffness index beta(?),which are important factors in assessing the changes of the aortic distensibility.

The ideal treatment and recovery of osteoarticular injury remain to be resolved. Small intestinal submucosa (SIS), a naturally-occurring decellularized extracellular matrix, has been recognized as an ideal scaffold for tissue engineering and widely used in repairing various tissues and organs. Nowadays its application has also been gradually increased in the field of orthopedics. We reviewed laboratorial studies and clinical trails about the application of SIS in bone and joint repair, aiming to evaluate its effects on the repair of bone, cartilage, meniscus, ligament and tendon. SIS has showed promising results in repairing bone, meniscus, ligament or tendon. However, additional studies will be required to further evaluate its effects on articular cartilage and tendon-bone healing. How to optimize SIS material,is also a focused problem concerned with making SIS a potential therapeutic option with high value for orthopedic tissue repair.

Objective To examine the suscepribility of the single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in IL-1 gene in Chinese Han population to ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Methods An correlation analysis was performed in a case-control cohort of 162 AS cases, 58 patients with other autoimmune diseases and 162 controls. Four SNPs located in the IL-1 gene (rs16944, rs3811058, rs419598, rs315952) were examined by polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP). Results The frequencies of allele C at position rs16944, rs3811058, rs419598 significantly increased in AS cases VS controls, so did their genotype frequencies (50% vs 36.3%, 57.9% vs 52.8%, 45.7% vs 12.3%, P<0.05). The SNPs of these sites significantly influenced the prevalence of AS. Conclusion We discover that SNPs of IL-1 gene Rs16944, Rs419598, Rs3811058 is closely related to the occurrence of AS.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2013;29(9):756-760
Objective To explore the association of sedentary behavior and time with risk of metabolic syndrome (MS).Methods A total of 10 149 subjects were recruited from local residents aged ≥40 years old in Jiashan County by cluster-random sampling method. The data including physical activity, job, sedentary time, and sleep, etc.were collected.Height and body weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, blood glucose, blood lipid, etc.were determined.Logistic regression was used for correlation analysis. Results The prevalence of MS was 28.64% in local residents over 40 years old in Jiashan. The rate of sedentary behavior in all subjects was 67.57%,with 3 h sedentary time on average.Compared with non-MS group, the rates of sedentary behavior and sedentary time were significantly higher in MS group (P<0.01).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that sedentary behavior was independently associated with an increased risk of MS after adjustment for age, sex, body mass index (BMI),smoking, drinking, and sedentary time(OR=1.16,95% CI 1.03-1.30,P=0.017).Increased sedentary time was associated with higher risks of hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and dyslipidemia (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).Sedentary time ≥ 5 h/d independently increased the risk of MS (OR =1.15,95% CI 1.01-1.31,P =0.034).Conclusions There is a high prevalence of MS in adults over 40 years old living in the eastern coastal rural area.MS and its related diseases are closely associated with sedentary behavior and its duration.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(4):529-534
BACKGROUND:Accumulating studies have confirmed the excellent effectiveness of local infiltration analgesia, but the literature analysis is mainly limited to within 1 day after total knee arthroplasty or shorter period.
OBJECTIVE:To study the effectiveness of local infiltration analgesia (LIA) at low concentration after total knee arthroplasty, and to observe the analgesic effect at rest and movement states.
METHODS:Thirty patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty were randomly al ocated to control group and LIA group, receiving oral non-steroidal anti nflammatory drug (celebrex) and low concentration of ropivacaine (0.1%) for epidural analgesia. Control group was injected with 0.9%saline 150 mL, while LIA group was injected with equal volume of solution include ropivacaine 300 mg, morphine 5 mg and epinephrine 10μg. The rest pain and motion pain of patients in two groups were evaluated at 6, 12, 24, 36, 48 hours after operation by using visual analogue scale. The incidence rate and degree of nausea, vomiting, numbness and muscle weakness of the legs were observed after operation. The incision healing was also recorded.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Visual analogue scale pain scores in the LIA group were significantly lower than the control group at 6, 12, 24 and 36 hours at rest (P<0.05), at 6, 12, 24, 36, 48 hours on movement (P<0.05). At 6 and 12 hours, there was no difference in the rest and motion pains in the LIA groups (P>0.05). No patient appeared drowsiness, nausea, and vomiting in both groups. Two patients in each group complained of slight numbness in legs. No case influenced function exercise because of muscle weakness. Al the wounds healed and there were no incision infections in two groups. Combined with oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and low concentration of ropivacaine for epidural analgesia, the local infiltration analgesia technique in total knee arthroplasty is effective in early post-operative pain management, and produces no analgesia related adverse reactions.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the protective effect and mechanisms of luteolin-7-O-β-d-glucuronide (LGU) on oxygen glucose deprivation (OGD)-induced H9C2 cardiomyocytes injury. METH-ODS The protective effect of LGU on OGD-induced H9C2 cardiomyocytes death were investigated by MTT assay. The microfilament change of H9C2 cardiomyocytes was detected by phalloidin staining and the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) leakage rate was also detected by LDH kit. In order to explore the possible mechanisms of LGU, ATP content, intracellular Ca2+fluorescent intensity and concentra-tion, mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP)and the expressions of apoptosis-related proteins were detected by ATP kit,CLSM(Fluo-3/AM probe),Ca2+kit,CLSM(JC-1 probe)and western blotting meth-od, respectively. RESULTS The inhibition of H9C2 cardiomyocyte survival rate inducedby OGD was improvedby pretreated with LGU in a concentrationdependent manner. The microfilaments injury as well as the increase of LDH leakage rate were also improvedby pretreated with LGU.The ATP content was significantly decreased, intracellular Ca2+fluorescent intensity and concentration were significantly increased and the MMP was significantly decreased 4 hafter OGD. LGU significantly reversed the de-crease of intracellular ATP content, the increase of Ca2+fluorescent intensity and concentration and the decrease of MMP.The release of cytochrome C,the expressionsof caspase-9 and caspase-3 in H9C2 cardiomyocytes were increased 16 h after OGD.LGUsignificantly inhibited the changes of these apop-tosis-related proteins. CONCLUSION LGU has a significant protective effect against OGD-induced H9C2 cardiomyocytes injury through inhibiting calcium overload, increasing ATP content, improving mi-tochondrial function and inhibiting apoptosis.
