Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of anterior pelvic floor reconstruction with transobturator tension-free vaginal mesh in the treatment of moderate to severe or recurrent anterior vaginal wall prolapse. MethodsAnterior pelvic floor reconstruction with transobturator tension-free vaginal polypropylene mesh were performed on 36 women with stage 3 to stage 4 or recurrent anterior vaginal wall prolapse. Those with stress urinary incontinence(SUI) or potential SUI were also treated with transobturator inside-out tension-free vaginal tape(TOT).The surgical efficacy was determined by comparison of POP-Q classification system pre-and post-operation.Complications of the procedure were statistically analyzed. Results The mean time of operation for anterior pelvic floor reconstruction with transobturator tension-free vaginal polypropylene mesh was 52 min, mean intraoperative blood loss was 55 mL,and mean hospital stay was 3.5 d.No operative complications occurred. All the anterior vaginal wall prolapse was corrected. No recurrence was observed after the follow up for 2 to 24 months, with the effective rate of 100%.The grade of urinary incontinence was improved remarkably, with the effective rate of 100%.The erosion after the procedure with vaginal polypropylene mesh happened in 2 cases, with the incidence of 5.56%. Conclusion Anterior pelvic floor reconstruction with transobturator tension-free vaginal polypropylene mesh is a minimally-invasive procedure for the treatment of moderate to severe or recurrent anterior vaginal wall prolapse.TOT should also be performed for those with SUI or potential SUI.Though erosion of mesh may take place post-operation,this procedure is safe and has a favourable short-term effect. The long-term effect leaves for further investigations.

The use of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for cancer therapy has achieved considerable success in recent years. Approximate 17 monoclonal antibodies have been approved as cancer therapeutics since 1997. Antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) are powerful new treatment options for cancer, and naked antibodies have recently achieved remarkable success. The safety and effectiveness of therapeutic mAbs in oncology vary depending on the nature of the target antigen and the mechanisms of tumor cell killing. This review provides a summary of the current state of antibody-based cancer therapy, including the mechanisms of tumor cell killing by antibodies, tumor antigens as antibody targets, clinical effectiveness of antibodies in cancer patients and nanoparticles-based ADCs.

Low-triiodothyronine syndrome is a condition characterized by decreased total serum T 3 and free T3 , along with in-creased serum reverse triiodothyronine but normal levels of thyroxine and thyrotropin .However , it is not caused by the thyroid gland diseases. The latest research progress of mechanisms , diagnosis and clinical significance , and therapy strategy of low T 3 syndrome is reviewed in this paper .

Objective To know the status of microbial contamination in filtrated water and edible ice used in food processing, and to provide experimental basis for the management of HACCP of filtrated water and edible ice. Methods The samples of water and ice were collected from a western style restaurant in Changchun. The microbial indicators were tested based on Standard Examination Methods for Drinking Water(2001). Results Results In the third quarter, 37.8%, 32.4%, 13.5% of total bacterium counts, total coliform counts, feces coliform counts of the water samples was unqualified. Conclusion The filtrated water and edible ice used in restaurants can be contaminated by microbes in degree. It is necessary for HACCP of filtrated water involved coliform counts contamination to carry out dynamic monitoring.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(03):-
Objectives: To study the prolonging of mandible by distr ac tion osteogenesis (DO) after severe trauma in rabbits. Methods:O steotomy was conducted in 16 adult rabbits. To simulate severe trauma, periosteum was removed and inferior alveolar vessels were destroyed on left side. The rabb its were randomly divided into 4 groups with 4 in each group and internal distra ctor was applied in each rabbit. In group A1 and A2 the latency time was 1 day,i n group B1 and B2 that was 7 days.In group A1 and B1 the distraction velocity wa s 0.5 mm/d,in group A2 and B2 that was 1.0 mm/d.The distraction length was 10 mm and retention period was 4 weeks. Results:4 weeks after operati on on right side complete new bone formation was found in the distraction area. On left side that was observed in group B1 and B2,but not in A1 and A2.Nonunion was found in 1,4,0 and 0 cases in group A1,A2,B1 and B2 respectively. The bending strength (10 4 N/m 2) of normal bone was 95,that in group A1,B1,B2 was 25,85 and 60 respectively. Conclusion:DO method can be used even after the blood supply of the mandibles has been destroyed, but the latency period sh ould be longer.

Chinese Journal of Cancer Biotherapy 1995;0(02):-
C1027, an anticancer antibiotic, showed extremely potent cytotoxicity against cultured cancer cells, being over 10,000-fold more potent than adriamycin. C1027 acted rapidly; DNA synthesis of hepatoma cells was suppressed within 10 mintus of exposure. C1027 consists of two moieties, a new enediyne chromophore and an apoprotein; the chromophore serves as the active part of the molecule. C1027 molecule can be dissociated and reconstituted. The reconstituted C1027 was as potent as natural C1027. Through a newly developed method, enriched conjugation C1027 was conjugated to monoclonal antibodies. As determined by clonogenic assay, the conjugates displayed highly-potent, specific cytotoxicity to target cancer cells. The conjugates exerted marked therapeutic effects against hepatoma and gastric cancer xenografts in nude mice; at tolerable dose, tumor inhibition rate reached 85% (P

Objective To explore the influence of the sequential enteral nutrition(SEN) on nutritional status and prognosis in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods 80 ACI patients complicated with dysphagia were divided into SEN group and control group(40 cases in each group). In the first three days patients in SEN group were treated with nasal feeding short-peptide enteral nutrition[84~126(kJ/kg.d) ],than, which would be replaced with nasal feeding integral-protein enteral nutrition from the forth day.Patients in the control group were provided with ordinary fluid food by nasal feeding.Nutrition support for both groups was at last more than 10 d.In the 1 d,7 d and 14 d after treatment, data of both groups concerned with triceps skin fold(TSF),mean upper arm muscle circumference of triceps(MAMC),serum albumen(Alb),serum prealbum(PAB),heamoglobin(Hb),incidence of infectious complications,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) score and Barthel index(BI) were examined. Results Nutritional indexes(TSF,MAMC,Alb,PAB,Hb) in the SEN group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P
