International Eye Science 2007;7(4):891-894
· AIM: To investigate the possibility of FLK-1 as a therapeutic agent for choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in mouse by FLK1 monoclonal antibody.· METHODS: CNV was induced in C57BL/6 mouse eyes by krypton laser photocoagulation. Preoperatively and on the 3rd, 6th and 9th day after photocoagulation, the animals were intraperitoneally injected with 500μg FLK1 monoclonal antibody. Choroidal fluorescein angiography and histopathological examination were used to assess the development of experimental CNV quantitatively 10 days after laser treatment.· RESULTS: Laser-induced CNV developed in all lesions on the 10th day after the operation. The development of CNV was significantly inhibited in experimental group, indicated by choroidal fluorescein angiography and histopathological examination (P<0.001).· CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that FLK-1 may be a promising agent for anti-angiogenesis therapy for CNV.
3.Expression of FLK-1 in laser-induced choroidal neovascularization in mouse
International Eye Science 2007;7(3):642-644
AIM: To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR-2, also known as FLK-1) in laser-induced choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in mouse.METHODS: CNV was induced in C57BL/6 mouse eyes by krypton laser photocoagulation. Choroidal fiuorescein angiography and histopathological examination were used to assess the development of experimental CNV. Cryostat sections from lesions on day 10 after laser treatment and normal eyes were prepared for Immunohistochemistry for FLK-1.RESULTS: Laser-induced CNV developed in all lesions on day 10. The expression of FLK-1 was detected in endothelial cells, retinal pigmented epithelium (RPE)-like cells and fibroblast-like cells in neovascular lesions. In normal adult mouse retinas, FLK-1 expression was mainly observed in RPE cells, inner nuclear and ganglion cell layers.CONCLUSION: Our findings demonstrated that expression of FLK-1 may play a role in the formation of laser-induced CNV in mice, which suggest that FLK-L may be a promising potential target for antiangiogenesis therapy for CNV.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma 2015;17(4):322-325
Objective To evaluate the effects of different intensities of treadmill running on changes in tibial bone composition in a rat model. Methods A total of 24 female Wistar rats were randomly assigned into 4 even groups (n =6) of free movement (FM),low-intensity running (LR),medium-intensity running (MR),and high-intensity running (HR).Rats in LR,MR,and HR groups underwent treadmill running with respective intensities (15 m/min and a 0° gradient,20 m/min and a 5° gradient,25 m/min and a 10° gradient) for 8 weeks (1 h/d and 5 d/week).FM group were taken as controls. The cortical and trabecular bone at the left tibial metaphysis was harvested after 8 weeks in each group for Raman spectroscopy to analyze mineral-matrix ratio,carbonate-phosphate ratio and crystallinity. Results In MR group, the mean mineral-matrix ratio was 4.883 ± 0.128 for cortical bone and 4.216 ±0.213 for trabecular bone, both significantly higher than those in FM group (4.113 ±0.132 and 3.773 ±0.122) (P < 0.05).The mean mineral-matrix ratio was 3.222 ± 0.329 for trabecular bone in HR group, significantly lower than that in FM group (P < 0.05).In MR group, the mean carbonate-phosphate ratio was 0.166 ± 0.013 for trabecular bone, significantly lower than that in FM group (0.177 ± 0.011) (P < 0.05).In HR group, the mean carbonate-phosphate ratio was 0.195 ± 0.012 for cortical bone and 0.187 ± 0.010 for trabecular bone, both significantly higher than those in FM group (0.183 ± 0.014 and 0.177 ± 0.011) (P < 0.05).In HR group, the mean crystallinity was 0.0521 ± 0.0012 for cortical bone and 0.0522 ± 0.0017 for trabecular bone, both significantly higher than those in the other 3 groups (P < 0.05).Conclusions Running with medium intensity may increase bone mineralization and turnover, thus enhancing bone quality. However, running with high intensity may decrease bone mineralization and thus bone quality.
7.Determination of Stachydrine Hydrochloride in Different Parts of Herba Leonuri by HPLC
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(08):-
Objective To control the quality of Herba Leonuri by studying the content of stachydrine hydrochloride in different parts of it. Method A HPLC method was developed for the content detetmination of stachydrine hydrochloride in flower, stem, leafage from Herba Leonuri. Spherisorb SCX colum was used with mobile phase of 20 mmol/L sodium dihydrogen phosphate (containing 0.04% triethylamine and 0.15% phosphoric acid). The colum temperature was 25 ℃, the detective wavelength was 192 nm. Results Stachydrine hydrochloride content was the highest in leafage and the lowest in stem. Conclusion To ensure the quality of Herba Leonuri, it is significant to choose medical material with more leafage.
8.Content Determination of Taxol in Taxus Yunnanensis of Different Parts and Growth Time Limits
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(05):-
Objective To study the content of taxol in different parts of Taxus Yunnanensis and the effects of different growth time on taxol content. Method A HPLC method was developed for the detetmination of taxol content in bark, needle, twig, root from Taxus Yunnanensi, and the effects of different growth time. Results Taxol content in bark was the highest, that in root was the lowest and that in needle and twig were higher. Taxol content was higher with the growth time in needle and twig of Taxus Yunnanensi. Conclution It was significant to take taxol from needle and twig of Taxus Yunnanensis which is more than five years growth time.

Chinese Journal of Digestive Endoscopy 2012;29(3):130-132
ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical value of right lateral position with real-time monitor for capsule endoscopy.MethodsA total of 80 patients were randomly divided into two groups. The observation group assumed the right lateral position, while the control group was in upright, standing or sitting position. The capsule endoscope was monitored real time. The patients were allowed to move after the capsule endoscope passed pylorus.Gastric transit time, small bowel transit time, small bowel examination completion rate and positive detection rate were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe mean gastric transit time of the observation group was (31.7 ± 29.8)min,which was significantly shorter than that in the control group (62.6 ± 55.9) min ( U =559.000,P =0.020).The mean transit time of small bowel was (221.3 ±78.8) min in the observation group, which was not significantly different from that of the control group ( t =0.511,P =0.611 ).The examination completion rate of whole small bowel was 95.0% (38/40)in the observation group, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (x2 =5.165,P =0.023).The positive detection rates were 75.0% (30/40) and 65.0% (26/40),respectively,which were not significantly different (x2 =0.952,P =0.329).ConclusionThe right lateral position with real-time monitor during capsule endoscopy is of better clinical value.
