Objective To explore the value of morphometric quantitative parameters in differential diagnosis of common thyroid benign and malignant tumors, and establish a data bank as a basis for diagnosing diseases with the help of computer. Methods Using PIPS-2020 image analysis system to make a morphometric analysis in 32 cases of thyroid benign papillary lesion (TBPL), 32 cases of thyroid papillary adenocarcinoma(TPAC), 27 cases of thyroid follicular adenoma(TFA) and 24 cases of thyroid follicular adenocarcinoma(TFAC). Results Among many morphometric quantitative parameters of nuclei, eight including area, circumferential length, diameter,volume,long diameter, short diameter, largest to smallest diameter ratio, and circular rate were selected to analyze. The eight morphometric quantitative parameters between TFA and TFAC had a highly significant difference(P0.01). Conclusion These nuclear parameters have some value in differentiation of common thyroid benign and malignant tumors.

Background and purpose:To investigate the induction of apoptosis by epigallocatechin-3-gallate(EGCG) in xenograft nude mice with human gastric cancer cells and its molecular mechanism. Methods:Human gastric cancer cells were planted into nude mice in order to establish the cancer model, the different dosages of EGCG were injected intraperitoneally in the nude mice. After treatment, flow cytometry (FCM) was used to detect the apoptosis of implanted tumor cells. Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of apoptosis-related genes like Bal-2 and Bax in implanted tumor.Results:EGCG significantly inhibited tumor growth after being injecting intraperitoneally in the nude mice. The apoptotic cells in implanted tumor could be detected by flow cytometry with PI staining. The expressions of Bax、Caspase-3 were upregulated and Bcl-2 expression was downregulated in implanted tumor.Conclusions:EGCG could significantly inhibit tumor growth in xenograft nude mice with human gastric cancer cells through inducing apoptosis. The down-regulation of Bcl-2 expression and up-regulation of Bax expression observed could result in the activation of Caspase-3, the pathway might account for the induction of apoptosis.

Objective To analyze the content, quality, the type of nursing documents and the actuality of domestic emergent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI), and to provide basis and reference for the development of more objective and scientific preoperative nursing guidelines. Methods Wanfang DATA, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), CqVIPwere retrieved by computer, and supplemented by manual searches.Then the articles which in accordance with inclusion criteria were analyzed by descriptive analysis. Results A total of 114 literatures from 2004 to 2016 were involved, most of them were presented from 2010 to 2014, all of them were published in nearly 70 kinds of journals. There were merely 9 kinds of nursing journals, 26 literatures in all. Literatures came from different levels of hospital, including 47 provincial hospitals, 50 municipal hospitals, 17county hospitals. Only 3 of them had fund support. According to the types of research, there were 61 quasi- experimental studies, 35 retrospective analysis and 18 experience summarization. The most of literatures about perioperative nursing and whole nursing were 39. Nursing experience literatures were 27, nursing cooperation or nursing intervention or nursing study were 15, others were 12. Only preoperative nursing were 4. All of this content were much the same, with minor innovativeness. Conclusions Researches of domestic nursing scholars on intraoperative and postoperative nursing of emergent PCI are more than preoperative nursing, and the attention to preoperative nursing is not high, we should strengthen the importance to preoperative nursing and increase the study of nursing before the operation in order to strive for the precious time when rescuing patients with acute myocardial infarction.

BACKGROUND: Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is widely used in the basic research on cell biology because of its good biocompatibility and ability to be processed at the micro/nano level. However, cell culture on PDMS has been generally compromised by its strong hydrophobicity.OBJECTIVE: To perform a comparative investigation on the influences of different surface modifications as well as stiffness of PDMS on cellular behaviors.METHODS: PDMS films with varying stiffnesses were subjected to various surface modifications, including serum incubation, type I collagen deposition and air plasma treatment. Bovine articular chondrocytes were seeded on PDMS films and cell adhesion, proliferation and matrix production were characterized using F-actin staining, cell counting kit-8,microscopic examination, Sirius red/Safranin-O staining and quantitative determination of glycosaminoglycans,respectively.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Serum incubation, type I collagen deposition and air plasma treatment were all found to promote adhesion and proliferation of bovine articular chondrocytes from the results of F-actin staining and cell prolifereration curve, with air plasma treatment the best. Total amount of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) secretion was only increased by air plasma treatment and GAG/DNA was decreased by all modifications. Stiffness also played roles in cell adhesion, proliferation and GAG production, which was found to be dependent on surface modifications. This study would provide guidance for applying PDMS in cell culture.

ObjectiveTo explore the effect of different properties and hemisphere of stroke on trunk control ability and the relationships between the trunk control and cognition, activities of daily living (ADL).Methods75 inpatient stroke patients were divided into the group A (right hemorrhages, n=15), group B (right infarcts, n=25), group C (left hemorrhages, n=14) and group D (left infarcts, n=21). All cases in four groups were assessed by Mini-Mental Status Examination (MMSE), Sheikh Trunk Control Evaluation and Modified Brathel Index (MBI) before and after rehabilitation therapy.ResultsThe scores of Sheikh and MBI of the group A and group C were significantly lower than that of the group B and group D before treatment ( P<0.05～0.001). After treatment, the scores of MMSE, Sheikh Trunk Control Evaluation and MBI of the patients in four groups all increased, but the scores of the patients in the group A and group C increased more than other groups. There was no significant difference in Sheikh scores between right and left hemisphere stroke. All groups had high relationship between Sheikh Trunk Control Evaluation and MBI before and after treatment. There was no relationship between Sheikh Trunk Control Evaluation and MMSE before treatment, but having part relationship after treatment.ConclusionThe trunk control of hemorrhage patients are damaged more severe than that of the infarct cases, but they resume also faster. There are no different between right and left hemisphere stroke in trunk control impairment. The ability of trunk control has high relationship with ADL before and after treatment, it has no relationship with cognize before treatment but has relationship after treatment.

To improve the expression of heterologous genes using baculovirus expression system, we constructed a novel shuttle vector based on the Bm-Bacmid. In the Bm-Bacmid, partial sequences of Chitinase and Cystein Protease were replaced with a tandem cassette of Cm and egfp through homologous recombination. Bombyx mori bidensovirus (BmBDV) ns1 under the control of polyhedrin promoter was inserted into the modified Bm-bacmid by transposition. For comparison, BmBDV ns1 under the control of polyhedrin promoter was also cloned in the wild type Bm-bacmid. The resulting Bm-bacmids were transfected into the cultured BmN cells to prepare recombinant virus to infect silkworms for expression of BmBDV ns1. Total proteins of hemocyte from infected silkworms were subjected to Western blotting and ELISA analysis. The yield of BmBDV NS1 1 with the modified vector was three times as much as that with the unmodified vector. The method to improve the yield of BmBDV NS1 in silkworms will facilitate the function and three-dimensional structure study of BmBDV NS1.

Objective To explore the problems and solving countermeasures in application of nursing vertical management,and provide references for nursing post management reform.Methods Through purposive sampling method,nursing administers,clinical nurses,heads of clinical departments and performance directors from five hospitals were interviewed by semi-structured interview method.Data were analyzed using 7-step Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis method.Results Four themes were formed about the problems in application of nursing vertical management,including:affecting department management and doctor-nurse collaboration,insufficient scientificity and fairness of performance evaluation,significant issues regarding post setting of senior nurses,competence and sense of belonging of temporarily deployed nurses.Four themes were formed about the solving countermeasures in application of nursing vertical management,including:improving participation of clinical departments in nursing management,making performance system to public and asking advices of nurses,providing career development for senior nurses,and conducting standardized training and establishing reserve nurses tank.Conclusion The main problems in application of nursing vertical management consisted of affecting department management and doctor-nurse collaboration,insufficient scientificity and fairness of performance evaluation,post setting of senior nurses,and competence and sense of belonging of temporarily deployed nurses.We suggested to better apply nursing vertical management by improving participation of clinical department in nursing management,making performance system to public and asking advices of nurses,providing career development for senior nurses,and conducting standardized training and establishing reserve nurses tank.

Aim To study the progestogen effect and activity of triphasic contraceptive tablets.Methods The progestogen activity of triphasic contraceptive tablets (kalirui and trinordiol) was evaluated through uterus weight increase test of female young mice and endometrium translation examination of female young rabbits. Radialized receptor analysis was used to determine the effect of the triphasic contraceptive tablets on progestogen receptor by the uterus histiocyte from the adult female rabbits whose ovaries had been taken away a week ago. Objective To analysis the effect of Longdanxiegan capsule on serum sVCAM-1, immune globulin and SOD level in patients with sudden deafness and tinnitus.Methods 48 patients who were diagnosed with sudden deafness and tinnitus were collected.All patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,24 cases in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional western medicine treatment, patients in the experimental group were given Erlongzuoci pill on the basis of control group treatment , after the treatment, the serum levels of sVCAM-1, IgG, IgA, IgM and SOD were detected in all patients.Results After treatment, compared with control group, the serum levels of sVCAM-1 was lower in the experimental group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the serum IgG, IgA and IgM levels were lower in the experimental group (P<0.05); the serum SOD level was higher in the experimental group (P<0.05).Conclusion The Longdanxiegan capsule can reduce significantly the serum sVCAM-1, IgG, IgA and IgM levels, improve serum SOD level in patients with sudden deafness and tinnitus, improve immune function and the ability to remove free radicals , and have a guiding significance for clinica .
