Objective To study molecular biology and clinicopathologic characters of peritoneal metastasis of advanced gastric cancer and their relationship to prognosis. Methods Based on the molecular biology and the clinicopathologic characters and prognosis single-factor analysis of relevant factors and risk assessment was made in 193 cases of gastric cancer. Results The younger the patient was with the earlier the time of occurrence of peritoneal metastasis of gastric cancer. There was a high expression of ICAM-1 and MMP-2,but low expression of TIMP-1 and p53 in gastric cancer patients with peritoneal metastasis. Conclusions ICAM-1,MMP-2,TIMP-1 and p53 can well predict the occurrence of metastasis and the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer, and these factors can be used for preoperative assessment of the development of metastasis of gastric cancer.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of autologous transplantation of spleen on rat liver cancer induced by DEN. Methods Forty rats were randomly divided into A and B group on average. Total spleens of 40 rats were resected, which preserved in liquid nitrogen. All splenectomy rats were feeded with DEN to induce hepatocellular carcinoma. After 12 weeks ,all rats which had were successfully induced liver cancer were transplanted by autologous spleen in group A. Group B were sham operation as control. Results Survival period was significantly higher in group A than that in group B. But transplanted splenic tissue had not recovered to normal morphological structure until these rats died. Conclusion Autologous transplantation of spleen has therapeutic effect for liver cancer induced by DEN.

ObjectiveTo explore the development and mechanism of hepatic cell apoptosis, and the effect of anti-apoptosis apoptosis of Se in the liver in obstructive jaundice rats. Methods(GPx) activity and (ROS) level were measured by biochemical methods,terminal-deoxynucleotidyl medicated nick end labeling (TUNEL)in different groups at different time points, and analysed by multivariate regression. Results Apoptosis cells appeared on day 3 after common bile duct(CBD) ligation ,significantly increased on day 7,reached the peak level on day 11, and began to decrease on day 14. The longer the time of obstructive jaundice in rats, the higher the level of ROS and apotosis index(AI), while the level of GPx decreased progressively. AI reached the peak 11-day after CBD ligation. Less hepatic apoptosis appeared after the rats treated with Se at every time point (P

Objective To study vascular anatomy between the pancreatic head and duodenum, providing anatomy basis for performing surgery of pancreatic head, duodenum and distal common bile duct in surgical practice. Methods Anatomy study was performed in 30 formaldehyde fixed and 10 fresh bodies in reference to blood supply to duodenum, the distal common bile and Vater ampulla. Results The anterior and posterior pancreaticoduodenal arterial arcade gives off branches to descending and horizontal portion of the duodenum. The posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery goes to distal common bile duct. The papilla artery arising from the posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery goes to Vater ampulla. Conclusions The pancreaticoduodenal anterior and posterior arterial arcades are main arteries that give off branches to the descending and horizontal portion of the duodenum, distal common bile duct and the Vater ampulla, hence should be carefully protected in duodenum-preserving resection of the pancreatic head.

ObjectiveTo compare the efficacy and safety of sequential intravenous moxifloxacin treatment against cefoperazone/sulbactam in patients with acute biliary tract infection. MethodsA prospective, randomized, non-blind, multi-centric study was performed to compare the efficacy and safety of moxifloxacin 400 mg Ⅳ once daily to cefoperazone-sulbactam (2 g q12 hours) and metronidazole 250 ml once daily to treat patients, from March- December 2009 in 13 hospitals, with acute biliary tract infection. The primary efficacy variable was clinical cure rate after the end of a 5 - 14 day treatment period, bacteriologic outcomes and adverse reaction effects were also determined.ResultsA total of 319 subjects were enrolled, 282 of whom were eligible for protocol efficacy analyses ( 138 moxifloxacin, 144 comparator).Demographic and baseline medical characteristics were similar between the 2 groups. Clinical success rates were 86.2% for moxifloxacin and 84. 7% for the comparator(P =0. 7192). Pathogens (55 moxifloxacin, 61 comparator) were isolated from bile or blood cultures and the predominant strains were E. coli, Klebsiella species and Enterococcus species. Bacterial eradication rates were 85.4% ( 37 of 55 ) with moxifloxacin versus 82. 0% (50 of 61 ) in the comparator group ( x2 = 0. 2568, P = 0. 6123 ). Both treatments were safe and well tolerated. ConclusionsE. coli, Klebsiella species and Enterococcus species were the most common bacteria isolated from bile or blood from patients with acute biliary tract infection. Moxifloxacin monotherapy has high clinical and bacteriological efficacies and safety for the treatment of acute biliary tract infection.

Objective To observe the curative effect of botulinum toxin A on masseter hypertrophy using three-dimensional stereophotogrammetry. Methods 46 cases with masseter hypertrophy (92 masseters) who received botulinum toxin A injection were enrolled from May 2013 to August 2014.Data were collected before and 3,6 and 9 months after injection. Results The efficacy of botulinum toxin A in reducing the volume of the lower face has been proven by MAS 3D.3 and 6 months after injection, the volume reduction were measured as 7.23 %,2.15% respectively (P < 0.05).The coefficients between middle and lower thirds of the face showed an increase compatible with thinning of the lower face with statistical significance at 3 months follow up.The increase percentage was measured by MAS 3D as 40.21% between pre-and post-injection (P < 0.05),and the increase percentage was 21.03% at 6 months follow up (P < 0.05).While 9 months after injection, the value was insignificant comparing to pretreatment at 9 months. Conclusions Three-dimensional stereophotogrammetry provides a safe effective and direct way to observe masseter hypertrophy.

Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery 2017;33(2):97-101
Objective:
To investigate the value of Multislice computed tomography volume rendering(VR) technique and 3D printing technique in auricular reconstruction.
Methods:
Six patients were enrolled for auricular reconstruction with costal cartilage, including 5 congenital microtia patients and 1 traumatic auricular defect patient. We harvest the three-dimensional reconstructive data of the contralateral sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth costal cartilage with VR technique. Three-dimensional solid models were 3D printed with nylon material according to the data exported in STL format. Preoperative simulation was performed on the models, accordingly, we determined the strategies of costal cartilage harvest and framework fabrication, and operations were performed based on the pre-designed plan.
Results:
In all 6 patients, the actual costal cartilage harvest and framework fabrication process was consistent with the preoperative design and simulation results, and more scientific than before. The shapes of reconstructed ears were vivid and natural. No complications such as infection, absorption, distortion and chest deformity happened.
Conclusions
Through costal cartilage VR and 3D printing technique, we could make more reasonable preoperative design and simulation. The results can be improved with reduced injury, while avoiding the risks of thoracic deformity.

Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery 2022;38(1):104-108
Extracellular matrix hydrogel has been widely used in three-dimensional cell culture, organoid construction, tissue defect repair, biological three-dimensional printing and tissue engineering due to its excellent bioactivity, biocompatibility, bioinducibility, biodegradability and minimally invasive injection. Adipose tissue has the advantages of sufficient sources, easy access, and rich content of extracellular matrix components. It has become a research hotspot in the field of tissue repair and regenerative medicine in recent years. This article reviews its preparation, detection and application, in order to provide a reference for relevant researchers.
