Radiotherapy plays a significant role in the treatment of lung malignant tumor.However,as the most main complication of radiotherapy used to treat lung malignant tumor,radiation-induced lung injury is an important influencing factor in impeding further and higher dose radiotherapy.Previous studies show that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have the characteristics of self-replication,multiple differentiation,immunoregulation and directional migration. MSCs can help to repair many kinds of acute and chronic lung injury,meanwhile stem cell transplantation stimulates production of many cytokines to attenuate acute lung injury.So stem cell therapy provides a new kind of thinking in the prevention and treatment of radiation-induced lung injury.

ObjectiveTo study the correlation between blast lung injury (BLI) and acute posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) through the establishment of the model about blasting injury of rats.Methods84 SD male rats were randomly divided into four groups:the normal control group( A),the model groups ( B,C) and the sham model group(D).21 rats in each group.The chest of the model group and sham model group rats,respectively,were exposed to 8＃ instantaneous electric detonator at different distances.Then,emotion and behavior of rats was observed through open field test and elevated plus maze test,at day 1,14,28 after blasting.Group A was not given the explosion of stress treatment.After testing,each group was randomly picked up seven rats for succumbing to draw blood which was used to detecting the level of plasma corticosterone by radioimmunoassay,respectively.Results( 1 ) On day 1,it was a significant difference that the latency time ( LT),crossing frequency (CF),rearing frequency(RF) and modification frequency(MF) which were both group B( (25.34 ± 4.50)s,( 19.73 ± 11.10 ),(0.52±0.11),(0.53±0.21) respectively)and group C((22.13 ±6.54)s,(28.67 ±7.22),(1.07 ±0.26),( 0.89 ± 0.15 ) respectively ) were compared with group A,including LT,CF and RF of group D ( ( 23.71 ± 3.9 ) s,(25.13 ± 12.35 ),( 1.26 ± 0.74 ) respectively ) (P ＜ 0.05 ).Then,on day 28,although there was a significant difference which both the LT,CF and RF of group B,and the CF and RF of group C were compared with group A(P ＜ 0.05 ),no significant discrepancy was observed between group B and C (P ＞ 0.05 ).( 2 ) In the elevated plus maze test,the result was similar to the open field test.(3)On day 1 after blasting injury,it was significant distinction that the level of serum corticosterone of group B,C and D (( 153.15 ± 44.50) ng/ml,( 132.72 ±78.77)ng/ml,(96.16 ±8.96)ng/ml respectively)were higher than group A(P＜0.05).Finally,the level of serum corticosterone of group B,C and D were lower than group A on day 28 (P ＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionBLI model successfully induces acute stress disorder(ASD) of rots which behaved like anxiety,fear,hyperarousal and avoidance,and promots furtherly the development of ASD to PTSD,and establishes the modle of acute PTSD.

[Objective]To investigave the feasibility of commensalism of stem cells and olfactory ensheathing cells and to study the preliminary results of graft of stem cells and olfactory ensheathing cells for the treatment of spinal cord injury.[Method]Under the condition of sterility,the stem cells and olfactory ensheathing cells were collected from the embryon of induced labor for 4 to 6 months and the patients.The stem cells and olfactory ensheathing cells were cultured individually until transduced generation,then were cultured together and transplanted into the place where the spinal cord was injuried in the patient.[Result]Eight patients who had the spinal cord injury were treated with the graft of stem cells and olfactory ensheathing cells and were followed up for 1 to 6 months after the operation.One case with the T_(5~7) spinal cord injury got the recovery of superfical and deep sensation of the lower limbs.The other 7 patients had not obvious recovery.[Conclusion]There was no appearance of inhibition when the stem cells and olfactory ensheathing cells were cultured together.The united graft of the stem cells and olfactory ensheathing cells for the treatment of spinal cord injury is safe with the short-term observation.

Objective To explore the impact of patients with esophageal cancer knowing diagnosis on the mental health of their children and investigate the factors.Methods 107 family carriers whose parent diagnosed esophageal cancer in General Hospital of Jinan Command were interviewed.Respondents were categorized into two groups:one group was those whose parents knew their diagnosis(Group A,n=45)and the other group was those whose parents did not know(Group B,n=62).The Chinese version of Self-reporting Inventory(SCL-90) was used.Results The scores of 107 children of esophageal cancer patients in depression(1.62±0.30),anxiety(1.78±0.34) and hostility (1.93±0.47) were higher than national norms (P＜0.01).Compared with group A,group B showed a significant higher degree of anxiety((1.89±0.33) vs (1.62±0.33),P＜0.01).In multiple regression analysis,age and the knowledge of esophageal cancer diagnosis had statistically significant difference (P＜ 0.05).Conclusion Patients' knowledge of the esophageal cancer diagnosis contribute to relieving family carers' symptoms of anxiety.

Objective To discuss the therapeutic effect of ulinastatin combined with dexamethasone on blast-induced acute lung injury (ALI) in rabbits.Methods Thirty-eight New Zealand white rabbits with blast-induced ALI were divided into four groups according to the random number table:injury group (n =8),treatment group Ⅰ (dexamethasone alone,n =10),treatment group Ⅱ (ulinastatin alone,n =10),combination therapy group (dexamethasone + ulinastatin,n =10).In addition,8 uninjured rabbits were randomly selected as control group.Treatment groups were given relevant medication by intramuscular injection at 0.5,12,24,36 and 48 hours after successful modeling.Injury group and control group were given equal volume of isotonic saline at the same time.Parameters of respiratory rate,oxygenation index (PaO2/FiO2),TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and neutrophil elastase (NE)were detected before and afterfirst treatment at 6,24,48 and 72 hours.All rabbits were sacrificed after 72 hoars to detect TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and NE contents in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and to measure wet to dry lung weight ratio.HE staining was performed to observe pathological changes of lung tissues Results In contrast,respiratory rate was high in injury group at each time point,which increased to the peak (75.0 ± 7.4) times/min at 6 hours far higher than (33.0 ± 4.5) times/min in control group (P ＜0.01).Wet to dry lung weight ratio and TNF-α,IL-6 as well as IL-8 contents of the peripheral blood and BAI.F in injury group were significantly higher than those in control group (P ＜0.01).PaO2/ FiO2 in injury group was decreased to the lowest level of (180.5 ± 12.6)mmHg at 72 hours far lower than (403.7-8.0)mmHg in control group (P ＜0.01).While improvements were observed in treatment groups with respect to these indicators,and significantly much better results were detected in combination therapy group rather than in treatment groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ (P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion Ulinastatin combined with dexamethasone is an effective therapy on blast-induced ALI in rabbits,and the effect is significantly better than that with single use of uliinastatin or dexamethasone.

Objective To study the effects of 17estradiol on chemokine receptor CXCR2 expression in monocytes incubated with oxidized low density lipoproteins (oxLDL). Methods Human monocytic U937 cells were used as a model of monocytes. Expressions of CXC chemokine receptor CXCR2 mRNA and protein were measured by RT-PCR and FACS, respectively. Results The oxLDL(50 ?g/ml) significantly upregulated CXCR2 expression in U937 cells. 17estradiol (50 nmol/L) reduced expressions of CXCR2 mRNA and protein in U937 cells incubated with oxLDL (50 ?g/ml) , and the decrease of the CXCR2 protein was dependent on the concentration of 17estradiol (5-500 nmol/L). Conclusions 17estradiol can obviously reverse oxLDL-induced CXC chemokine receptor CXCR2 expression in U937 cells.

Objective To study the correlation between chemotherapy drug sensitivity and the expression of P-glycoprotein protein(P-gp),lung resistant-related protein(LRP)in different esophageal carcinoma patients,which will offer experimental evidence for clinical individualized chemotherapy of esophageal carcinoma patients.Methods Selected fresh esophageal carcinoma's tissue,Common used drugs and chemoscheme for esophageal carcinoma were used for chemosensitivity testing of the primary cultured tumor cells.At the same time,immunohistochemistry method was used to detect the expression of P-gp and LRP of esophageal carcinoma cells.Results The chemotherapy drug sensitivity of single drug was different(P＜0.05).The combination of Tax and DDP had the best effect.DDP and NVB combination had a better effect than DDP and 5-FU combination.The sensitivity of DDP had no significant correlations with expression intensity of P-gp(P＞0.05),and it had significant correlation with expression intensity of LRP(P＜0.05).There were significant correlations between sensitivity of both NVB group and Tax group and expression intensity of P-gp and LRP(P＜0.05).There was no significant correlations between sensitivity of 5-FU and expression intensity of P-gp and LRP(P＞0.05).Conclusion The esophageal carcinoma chemosensitivity in vitro can indicate the sensitive drug of different patients,and guide individualized chemotherapy.The expression of P-gp and LRP has relationship with several chemotherapy drugs,which can provide base for individualized chemotherapy in clinic.

Objective To investigate palmar hyperhidrosis (PH) and the effects on mental health in a military command.Methods 26 392 soldiers were enrolled in this study by stratified-cluster random sampling.Each was required to complete a self-administered questionnaire regarding PH.The soldiers were assessed with symptom checklist-90 (SCL-90) and the factor scores were compared with army norm and civilian norm.Results A total of 25680 subjects fulfilled the questionnaires,and the response rate was 97.3％.The prevalence of PH in the survey sample was 2.66％ and the mild,moderate,and severe PH were 1.49％,0.83％,and 0.34％,respectively.The total mean score of SCL-90 in soldiers with PH (1.72±0.54) was higher than those none PH soldiers (1.65±0.58),civilian norm (1.49±0.41) and military norm (1.63±0.30).Multiple regression analysis showed that age,level of education and severity of PH were important factors for mental health of soldiers with PH (P＜0.05).Conclusion PH is more common in the military,which affect the mental health.The health service departments should pay attention to the treatment and psychological intervention of PH.

Objective To study the effect of ulinastatin (UTI) on blood gas analysis in rabbits with acute lung injury (ALI) after an explosion.Methods A total of 24 healthy New Zealand white rabbits were made to be ALI models by an explosion at a distance of 11 cm.The rabbits met the criteria of ALI,and were randomly (random number) divided into A and B groups.In group B,rabbits received UTI injected at 0.5 h,6 h,12 h,24 h after modeling.In group A,an equal volume of saline was given to rabbits instead at the same intervals after modeling.Arterial blood pH,carbon dioxide partial pressure (PaCO2) and partial pressure of blood oxygen (PaO2) were determined by a portable blood gas analyzer before modeling and at given intervals after modeling.All rabbits were sacrificed after 48 h later.The pathological changes of lung tissue were observed with naked eye and extent of lung injury with HE staining.Results Compared with group A,pulmonary edema and infiltration of inflammatory cells in the lungs of rabbits in group B were less significant.The blood gas analysis showed there were significant difference in pH at 24 h after injury between group A (7.24 ± 0.07) and group B (7.35 ± 0.06),P ＜ 0.05.There was significant difference in PaO2 at 24 h after injury between group A (50.5 ± 9.9) mmHg and group B (78.1 ± 8.4) mmHg,P ＜ 0.05.And there was significant difference in PaCO2 at 24 h after injury between group A (52.4 ± 5.5) mmHg and group B (42.8 ± 4.5) mmHg,P ＜ 0.05.Conclusion UTI can significantly reduce acidosis,PaCO2 and increase PaO2 in rabbits with ALI following a blast,improving oxygenation and mitigating lung histopathological changes.

Objective To evaluate the effects of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) and cisplatin (DDP) on inhibition of A549/DDP cells in vitro and to explore the impacts of HBO on cell cycle and apoptosis.Methods The cytotoxicity of HBO and DDP was determined by Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTF) assay; flow cytometry (FCM) was used to investigate the impacts on cell cycle and apoptosis of cell line A549/DDP.Results Hyperbaric oxygen alone significantly suppressed A549/DDP cells proliferation (P ＜ 0.05),compared with control group of normal oxygen,and the inhibition ratio was 2.90％.DDP at concentrations ranging from 3 μg/ml to 24 μg/ml significantly inhibited the proliferation of A549/DDP cells in a dose dependent manner,that was concentrations of 3,6,12 and 24 μg/ml brought inhibition ratio of 1.87％,4.62％,11.15％ and 30.45％ ; Hyperbaric oxygen can enhance the inhibition effect of DDP to A549/DDP cells,when hyperbaric oxygen affiliated with DDP of concentrations above,the inhibition ratios were 4.37％,8.92％,21.88％ and 48.71％,respectively,which has significant difference with the single DDP groups.FCM analyses showed that HBO arrested A549/DDP cells at the S phase,that was cell number of G0/G1 phase reduced significantly and of S phase raised significantly,compared with normal oxygen group(P ＜0.01),that was the percentages of cells in S phase of control group were 9.5％ and HBO group were 20.9％,while the percentages of cells in G0/G1phasc were 82.2％ and 66.3％,respectively.In addition,there were more apoptotic cells in the HBO group with the percentage of 7.9％,while the percentage was 2.8％ in the normal oxygen group.Conclusion Hyperbaric oxygen could play together with DDP to inhibit A549/DDP cells proliferation.HBO could block the cell cycle at S period and induce apoptosis.
