Objective To observe the extent of bone coagulation and the thermal field distribution created in ablating the swine vertebral bodies in vitro with multi-polar radiofrequency and to discuss the correlation between the electrode position in the vertebral body and the safety of the spinal cord as well as the soft tissue injury around the vertebral body. Methods Thirty fresh adult porcine vertebrae, were randomly and equally divided into two groups. The depth of the electrode needle was 10 mm or 20 mm. When the ablation process reached to a stable state, the temperature at the scheduled spots was estimated. Twenty minutes after ablation, the vertebral body was cut along the electrode needle plane and also along the plane perpendicular to the electrode needle to observe the extent of bone coagulation. Results The temperature at the scheduled spots reached to a stable state in 3.5 minutes. The more close to the electrode the spot was,the more quickly the temperature rose. No soft tissue injury around the vertebral body was observed in both groups and no spinal cord injury occurred when the electrode needle was 10 mm or 20 mm deep in the vertebral body. Conclusion In treating vertebral metastases, the radiofrequency ablation is safe and reliable if the posterior wall of the vertebral body remains intact.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2018;25(18):2324-2326
Objective To explore the relationship between the expression of proto oncogene c -Ski in non-small cell lung cancer and the early metastasis of tumor .Methods From January 2015 to July 2016 , 97 patients with non -small cell lung cancer in the People's Hospital of Pingxiang were selected .The protein expression of c-Ski was examined with immunohistochemical SP and real -time PCR,the results were observed and compared. Results The positive rates of c-Ski protein and mRNA level in non -small cell lung cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues were 18.6%and 79.4%,respectively,the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =71.80, P<0.01).The positive rate of c-Ski protein expressed in non -small cell lung cancer patients was related with age , clinical stage and pathologic classification ,the differences were statistically significant (χ2 =8.40,4.72,15.71,all P<0.05).Conclusion c-Ski may play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of non -small cell lung cancer, which can be used as a potential therapeutic target for non -small cell lung cancer in the future .

Objective To analyze the perioperative risk factors of postoperative complications after posterior lumbar fusion operation. Methods The clinical data of 654 patients with posterior lumbar fusion during 2010 and 2014 were retrospectively analyzed.Using x2 test and one-way ANOVA,the predicted risk factors were screened for further Logistic regression. Results The total complication rate was 11.6% among all 654 patients. The major complications included cardiac infarction, deep infection, sepsis, neurological impairment, and secondary operation. And the minor complications included wound dehiscence, urinary tract infection, pulmonary infection, gastrointestinal bleeding,CSF leakage and others.According to x2 test and one-way ANOVA,renal function insufficiency, preoperative neurological injury,ASA higher than Ⅲ level, intraoperative blood loss, long operation length, and usage of autogenous bone were screened as risk factors of complications.Renal function insufficiency, preoperative neurological injury, intraoperative blood loss, and long operation length were screened as risk factors of minor complications. And male, renal function insufficiency, preoperative neurological injury, intervertebral fusion, and posteriolateral fusion were screened as risk factors of major complications. However, according to Logistic regression, the independent risk factor of complications were preoperative neurological injury and long operation length;independent risk factors of minor complications were renal function insufficiency, preoperative neurological injury and long operation length;and independent risk factor of major complications was preoperative neurological injury. Conclusion Preoperative neurological injury, renal function insufficiency and long operation length are proved to be the risk factors of postoperative complication in lumbar fusion surgery.

Objective:To investigate the mechanism by which chronic psychological stress aggravates intestinal barrier damage and promotes the development of enteritis through inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin pathway, so as to provide a new therapeutic strategy for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).Methods:A comorbidity model of chronic psychological stress and enteritis was established using C57BL/6J mice. HE staining was used to analyze the effects of chronic psychological stress on the intestinal pathological damage in mice with enteritis. ELISA was used to detect the expression of proinflammatory cytokines. The ultrastructural changes of colonic cells and the state of intestinal mucus layer were observed under transmission electron microscope and scanning electron microscope. The secretion of mucoprotein 2 (MUC2) and the expression of cell proliferation marker Ki67 were detected by immunofluo rescence staining. The numbers of goblet cells were detected by Alcian blue-periodic acid-Schiff (AB-PAS) staining. Western blot was performed to analyze the expression of tight junction protein between intestinal epithelial cells, β-catenin which was a key protein of Wnt/β-catenin pathway maintaining crypt proliferation, and downstream protein c-myc.Results:The sugar water consumption ratio decreased, but tail suspension immobility time, the swimming immobility time and the expression of corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) in hypothalamus increased (all P<0.05) in the stress group as compared with those in the control group. Chronic psychological stress promoted weight loss and colonic shortening in mice with enteritis, exacerbated pathological damage and enhanced the release of pro-inflammatory factors. Moreover, increased disappearance of intestinal epithelial microvilli and severe cellular ultrastructural damage were also observed in the stress+ dextran sulfate sodium salt (DSS) group. There was no pathological damage in the control and stress groups. Chronic psychological stress aggravated intestinal barrier injury and inhibited intestinal barrier repair by inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin pathway. Conclusions:In the mouse model of DSS-induced enteritis, chronic psychological stress preconditioning inhibited the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, weakened the repair ability of intestinal epithelium, aggravated the loss of mucus layer of intestinal barrier and the damage of tight junction structure, and promoted the development of enteritis. In the absence of enteritis, chronic psychological stress had no significant effects on the Wnt/β-catenin pathway and the intestinal barrier.

As one of the three major nutrients, dietary lipids provide energy and nutrition for human. The quantity and quality of dietary lipids affect the composition of gut microbiota, which consequently may affect the host metabolic health. Development of disease animal models is an important approach to study the relationship between gut microbiota and human metabolic health. In this review, we discussed the types of dietary lipids, and summarized how dietary lipids affect the composition of gut microbiota and regulate the metabolic health of animal models. The clarification of potential underlying mechanisms will shed lights on future research in other live systems including human.
