[Objective] To explore the counteractive mechanism of Tongmai Injection (IT) for excitotoxicity in rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion by observing the glutamic acid (Glu) content and N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor activity in rats cortex. [ Methods ] Rat models with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion were established by four-vessel occlusion. Glu content and NMDA receptor activity were examined by radioimmunoassay and the effects of TI on Glu and NMDA receptor were also observed. [ Results ] Glu content and NMDA receptor activity were both increased in the model group and TI could counteract the above changes. [Conclusion] Cerebral ischemia/reperfusion can induce excitotoxicity and TI can protect the cerebral cortex.

[Objective] The patients with osteoporosis in kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome were observed,to evaluate the curative effect of the capsule.[Methods] 31 cases were collected in this research, treated with capsule for 6 months. The indexes of alkaline phosphatase(ALP),Ca2+,P-in blood serum and bone mineral density (BMD) were determined before and after the treatment.[Results] Invigorating kidney and promoting blood circulation capsule can decrease the measure deviation of ALPCa2+,P-,can evidently increase bone density.[Conclusion] Invigorating the kidney and promoting blood circulation capsule can increase BMD and meliorate bone metabolism.

Objective To investigate the effect and safety of self-made blenderized diet used for nutritional support treatment in the ICU critically ill patients with diabetes. Methods 74 ICU critically ill patients with diabetes were randomly divided into two groups:study group and control group. The self-made blenderized diet were given to the patients in study group and enteral nutrition to the patients in control group for nutritional support treatment for four weeks. Then glucose metabolism, various nutrition indicators and gastrointestinal dysfunction were observed in these two groups. Results The fasting blood glucose and fructosamine levels were decreased significantly, while the nutritional indicators was significantly higher after treatment than at baseline in all patients. There was no significant difference in the levels of fasting blood glucose, postprandial glucose, fructosamine and nutritional indicators between two groups after treatment,so were the incidence of the hypoglycemia and gastrointestinal complications. Conclusion The self-made blenderized diet was a good enteral nutrition support therapy for ICU critically ill patients with diabetes which had a considerable effect, but more cheaper, and practical compared to the enteral nutrition emulsions.

Objective To assess the effects of management by diabetes specialist nurse (DSN) on blood glucose control. Methods A comprehensive search of databases was carried out including PubMed,the Cochrane Library,Web of Science,China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM),China Scientific Journal Database (VIP) and Wanfang Database from their inception to November 2013 in any language to identify trials.Searching of relevant publications was undertaken to identify additional trials.Randomized controlled trials and quasi-randomized controlled trials dealing with the effects of management by DSN on glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA lc) were included in the review. Two investigators performed data extraction and quality assessment independently.Statistic analysis were carried out using RevMan5.2 software. Results Eighteen trials were included finally.Meta-analysis showed that management by DSN can better control the blood glucose of patients(WMD=-0.63,95%CI-0.88--0.38),but the effect was influenced by intervention time, location and type of the diabetes mellitus. Conclusions The presence of a DSN can improve patients' blood glucose control, especially in the long-term control of blood glucose.

This article discusses the overview of virtual reality (VR) technology and chronic pain kinesiophobia, elucidating the principles by which VR technology reduces chronic pain kinesiophobia and its effectiveness in the treatment and rehabilitation training of patients with this condition. The advantages and limitations of VR technology are summarized, aiming to provide references for clinical practitioners to better apply VR technology in the treatment and rehabilitation management of chronic pain kinesiophobia. The goal is to improve patients' fear of movement, fear-avoidance beliefs, pain related to movement injuries, physical function, motivation for training, and patient satisfaction.
