1.Fleroxacin for Treating Lower Respiratory Tract Infections in 50 Patients
Herald of Medicine 2001;(5):308-309
bjective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of fleroxacin injection in treating the lower respiratory tract infections. Methods: 50 patients with lower respiratory tract infections were treated with fleroxacin injection administered via intravenous drip, with a dosage of 0.2-0.4 g once daily for a consecutive of 7 days. Results:Effectiveness rate and bacteria eradication rate of fleroxacin were 90% and 87%, respectively. The incidence of adverse effects for fleroxacin were 6%. Conclusion: Fleroxacin injection is an effective and safe antibiotics for treating the lower respiratory tract infections.

Objective To investigate the effect of ipratropi um bromide and atropine on airway mucin hypersecretion in the chronic bronchiti s model of rats. Methods The model was established by intratrac heal instillation of small dose of lipopolysaccaride (200 μg) ipratropium bromi de and atropine were administrated 3-21 d after the model was established. Patho logical changes, mucin in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and tracheal ring culture medium were examined before and after the adnsinistration of iprat ropium bromide and atropine. Results Characteristic pathologica l manifestions of chronic brochitis were found after instillation of LPS. Sig nificant decrease in the number of tracheal epithelia goblet cells, secretion of mucin were observed in ipratropium bromide and atropine treated rats. The eff ect of inhibiting the secretion of mucin of ipratropium bromide was higher than atropine. Conclusion It suggests that muscarinic acetylcholine receptor plays an important role in airway mucin hypersecretion in chronic bro nchitis model of rat. Ipratropium bromide exhibit a stronger inhibition effect on mucin hypersecretion than atropine, moreover no inhibition effect on mucocil iary clearance which was observed in atropine.

Objective To assess the influence of different processing technique on the quality of Exocarpium citri grandis. Methods The RP-HPLC method was adopted to determine the naringin content in Exocarpium citri grandis. The chromatographic conditions were: Kromasil ODS column(250 mm?4.6 mm),mobile phase being methanol-water-acetic acid(35∶61∶4),flow rate 1.0 mL/min,detection wavelength at 283nm and column temperature at 25 ℃.Results There were obvious differences in the naringin content of Exocarpium citri grandis which was processed by different methods: the naringin content processed by electro static drying method was much higher than that by bake drying method, natural drying method and vacuum drying method. Conclusion The electro static drying method is the best way for drying Exocarpium citri grandis.
