1.Culture characteristics and enlightenment of biomedical doctoral students in Einstein Medical College
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2014;(8):782-785
The training mode of the medical doctoral students in Albert Einstein College of Medicine is relatively perfect. Its advances are mainly embodied in the following three aspects:detailed and comprehensive training in scientific research capabilities, great emphasis on the process control and the strict assurance system in quality control. The above training mode helps Albert Einstein Col-lege of medicine to set up the good medical doctoral cultivation characteristics with the tolerance, competition, flexibility and freedom. To learn from those good traits, great efforts should be made in our medical doctoral cultivation mode to strengthen the role of tutor team, ensure the students' inter-ests, deepen the academic exchanges and meet the various needs of society.

China’s existing laws and regulations in telemedicine fall behind practice. As a result, telemedicine is confronted with such vague constraints as permission, legal relations and legal liability, validity of electronic medical records, telemedicine equipment standards, patients’right to know and their right to privacy,as well as disputes settlement. On such basis, the authors propose to improve the laws and regulations in this regard as soon as possible.

Objective To investigate the immune protection of heparin-hinding hemagglutinin ad-hesin(HBHA) and to estimate its potential diagnostic value. Methods Native HBHA were used to stimu-late peripheral blood mononuelear cells (PBMCs) from different infected-cases including PPD negative healthy control, PPD positive latent tuberculosis(LTB) infection, pulmonary tuberculosis, and the IFN-γ/in the supernatant of culture was detected. Meanwhile, HBHA specific IgG antibody in the sera was detected by ELISA. Results The middle level of HBHA specific IFN-γ of the three groups were 49.5 pg/ml, 781.9 pg/ml and 341.8 pg/ml, respectively. IFN-γ of latent tuberculosis group was much higher than that of the control, and slightly higher than that of the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. And the absorbency of the IgG antibody to HBHA in the three groups was 0.212±0.066, 0.224 ± 0.076 and 0.285±0.078. lgG an-tibody in the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis is higher than that of the healthy, including the control and the latent tuberculosis infection. Conclusion HBHA has good immunogenieity, and it can stimulate the LTB to release high level IFN-γ, suggests that the LTB doesn't develop active tuberculosis may rely on its protection. HBHA specific. IFN-γ release may identify 1,333 from the healthy. Anti-HBHA antibody plays an auxiliary role in the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis.

In recent years, owing to the miniaturization of the fluidic environment, microfluidic technology offers unique opportunities for the implementation of nano drug delivery systems (NDDSs) production processes. Compared with traditional methods, microfluidics improves the controllability and uniformity of NDDSs. The fast mixing and laminar flow properties achieved in the microchannels can tune the physicochemical properties of NDDSs, including particle size, distribution and morphology, resulting in narrow particle size distribution and high drug-loading capacity. The success of lipid nanoparticles encapsulated mRNA vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 by microfluidics also confirmed its feasibility for scaling up the preparation of NDDSs via parallelization or numbering-up. In this review, we provide a comprehensive summary of microfluidics-based NDDSs, including the fundamentals of microfluidics, microfluidic synthesis of NDDSs, and their industrialization. The challenges of microfluidics-based NDDSs in the current status and the prospects for future development are also discussed. We believe that this review will provide good guidance for microfluidics-based NDDSs.

Objective To analyze the spatial clustering of human schistosomiasis at the village level in key counties in Hubei Province, to provide scientific evidence for formulating strategies for human schistosomiasis prevention and control in the next stage. Methods Gong'an County and Jiangling County in Hubei Province were selected as representative counties for this study. A town or village was set up as a research unit. Schistosomiasis cases of a positive fecal examination in 2015 and cases with positive detection for schistosomiasis serological antibody titer equal or above 80 in 2016-2018 were selected as research subjects in these two counties. The Kulldorff circular scan statistic was used for the spatial clustering analysis of human schistosomiasis infection status in the population. Results There was spatial clustering of positive schistosomiasis cases of fecal examination, at the level of a town or village in both counties in 2015. There was spatial clustering of positive human serological antibody detection at the level of town or village from 2016-2018. Eighty-six endemic villages in five towns in the northeast of Gong'an County, along the Yangtze river, including Mahaokou Town, Zhakou Town, Yangjiachang Town, Jiazhuyuan Town and Douhuti Town, were the most prominent. There was no spatial clustering of positive results of human serological antibody detection at the town and village level in Jiangling County, in2017, while there was spatial clustering of human serological antibody detection in 2016 and 2018,respectively. Fifty-seven endemic villages in two towns (Puji Town and Xionghe Town) in the southwest of Jiangling County, along the Yangtze river, were the most prominent. Conclusion There were spatial clustering of human schistosomiasis epidemic at village level both in Gong'an County and Jiangling County, Hubei Province. Compared with the previous studies, there was a trend of shrink and decline of clustering areas. Therefore, the current situation of the epidemic has put forward higher requirements for the implementation of precise prevention and control in the progress of schistosomiasis elimination work in various epidemic areas.
