6.Percutaneous AO Kirschner wire plus tension band wire fixation for patella closed transverse fracture
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;11(36):7317-7320
BACKGROUND: Tension band suture fixation is always used in treating patellar fracture, and its modified method of Kirschner wire plus tension band steel-wire is also widely applied. But because the traditional surgery always causes massive incision and scar formation, it affects the appearance and function of knee joint.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical curative effect of percutaneous puncture plus tension zone steel-wire fixation for the treatment of patella closed transverse fracture.DESIGN: Retrospective analysis:SETTING: Second Hospital of Medical College, Xi'an Jiaotong University.PARTICIPANTS: Twenty-nine patients with closed patellar transverse fracture admitted by Department of Orthopedics,Medical College of Xi'an Jiaotong University were selected from an average age of 36 years old. Only people that were diagnosed by X-ray as closed patellar transverse fracture were enrolled, and the informed consent was obtained from them.jostled until resetting, and then the fractured pieces were clamped by a clavical clamp to fix. Two incisions were made at the upper and lower ends of patella, and two were penetrated from the incision until its tip out of the lower hole of the same Kirschner wire under skin. The soft steel wire was drawn tightly and bended along the tip of Kirschner wire. The three-grading method, and the recovery of patients in 4 years after operation was evaluated according to the composite evaluation means about the knee joint established by Xu et al (pain, movement range of knee joint and reset of the fracture in patellar face. Meanwhile, the postoperative complications were observed.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Wound healing, postoperative functional recovery and complications of patients.cases scored in grade 1, accounted for 93%, 2 cases in grade 2, accounted for 7%, who were recovered after change of means about the knee joint established by Xu, 26 cases were excellent, and 3 were good; in the movement range of knee joint, 27 cases were excellent and 2 were good; in the resetting of fracture, 26 cases were excellent and 3 were infection, traumatic arthritis, or other complications were found in patients.CONCLUSION: Percutaneous internal fixation with Kirchner needles combined with tension band wires for treatment of closed patella transverse fractures is featured by minimal trauma, fast recovery and beautiful outlook in the operative area. Moreover, it permits early movement in the knee joints. This method has a satisfied clinical curative effect.

Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;35(12):1414-1416
Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy of Tiao Shen Tong Luo (regulating mind and unblocking collaterals) needling plus hyperbaric oxygen in treating leukoaraiosis (LA) coupled with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Method Totally 112 patients with LA and MCI were randomized into a treatment group and a control group. In addition to the basic treatment, the treatment group was intervened by Tiao Shen Tong Luo needling plus hyperbaric oxygen, while the control group was given hyperbaric oxygen. The scales and event-related potential (P300) were evaluated and compared before and after the intervention. Result The scales scores and P300 were significantly changed in both groups after the treatment, and the therapeutic efficacy was higher in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion In addition to the basic treatment, Tiao Shen Tong Luo needling plus hyperbaric oxygen can produce a significant efficacy in treating LA couple with MCI.
8.Role of microRNA in Regulation of Hepatic Stellate Cell Biological Behavior in Liver Fibrogenesis
Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2015;(9):563-566
Liver fibrosis is a repair response to chronic liver injury caused by liver metabolic disorders due to many injury factors. Hepatic stellate cell(HSC)activation and proliferation play an important role in the pathogenesis of liver fibrosis. In recent years, studies showed that microRNAs(miRNA)are involved in signal transduction pathways related with HSC activation and proliferation. This article reviewed the role of miRNA in regulation of HSC biological behavior in liver fibrogenesis.

Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;35(3):282-283
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating anxiety and depression due to vertebrobasilar insufficient vertigo (VBIV).Method Eighty-two patients with anxiety and depression due to VBIV were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 41 cases in each group. The control group was intervened by conventional medication, while the treatment group was by acupuncture in addition to the treatments given to the control group. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS), and Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS) were evaluated before and after intervention.Result The HAMA, HAMD, SAS, and SDS scores were significantly changed after intervention in both groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the HAMA score in the treatment group was significantly different from that in the control group (P<0.05). The TESS scores were significantly changed after treatment in both groups (P<0.01). After intervention, the TESS score in the treatment group was significantly different from that in the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture is an effective approach in treating anxiety and depression due to VBIV, and it can reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions.
10.Culture of rabbit periosteal osteoblasts using modified enzymatic digestion combined with explant method
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(11):1911-1914
BACKGROUND:Periosteal osteoblasts possess strong reproductive activity,as well as osteoblastic differentiation potential, which is an ideal seed cell if can shorten the culture time.OBJECTIVE:Modified enzymatic digestion was used to culture rabbits'osteoblasts.and to study the adherence and proliferation of osteoblasts on the sudace of sandblasting titanium.MEITHODS:Periostea were harvested from the theanteromedial surface of the proximal tibia of male,Japanese white rabbits, and cultured as follow:①Routine method:Digested with 0.25%trypsinase at 37 ℃ for 30 minutes, followed by digestion with 0.1%type I collagenase at 37 ℃ for 30 minutes, vibration.removed trypsinase and dried. After 2 hours,DMEM containing 15% fetal bovine serums were added.②Modified method:30 minutes culture of type I collagenase was prolonged to 1 hour. The osteoblasts were identified by alkaline phosphatase staining and calcium node staining. The adherence and proliferation of osteoblasts cultured on sandblasting surface were measured by scanning electron microscopy and MTT.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Five days after culture.the periosteal steoblasts crawled out from tissues, gathered as monolayer with tdangle or polygon at after 25 days of modified culture. After 1 month of culture, superposition growth of calcium nodus appeared. The cultured cells possessed the morphological characteristic and biological behavior of osteoblasts.which were positive to alkaline phosphorase and calcium node staining. The time of cells cultured with routine method covered flask delayed 12 days than modified method. The osteoblasts were inseted into sandblasting titatium with pseudopodium. However, the adherence and proliferation of osteoblasts cultured on sandblasting surface had no obviously difference between two culture methods. The results suggested that modified enzymatic digestion can sho~en the culture time without effect on adherence and proliferation of osteoblasts.
