Chinese Journal of Radiology 2012;46(1):40-44
ObjectiveTo assess the value of simulation craniotomy (SC) technique in evaluation of superficial cerebral veins(SCVs)and its relationship with convexity, parasagittal and falcine meningiomas.MethodsForty-nineconsecutivepatientswithconvexity,parasagittal,andfalcine meningiomas performed SC technique and three-dimensional contrast enhanced MR venography (3D CE MRV) in a prospective study. The number of SCVs ( diameter > 1 mm) within 2 cm around the margin of tumors detected by two techniques were compared with the paired t test.Furthermore,49 cases were divided into groups according to the tumor largest diameter, position, and dural enhancement. The image quality of SC technique in different groups were analyzed by Wilcoxon test in order to find influence factors. Results The number of SCVs within 2 cm around the margin of tumor in SC was 4.4 ± 1.9,which was significantly less than that on 3D CE MRV (5.1 ± 2.7) ( t =3.131,P < 0.05 ).The relationship between meningiomas and the SCVs was demonstrated well on SC in majority of cases with the score of image quality was 2.5 ±0.7.The score of image quality of 12 patients with obvious dural enhancement was 1.5 ± 0.5,which was significantly lower than that of 37 patients without dural enhancement ( 2.8 ± 0.3 )( Z =- 3.093,P < 0.05 ).The score of image quality of 18 patients with tumor larger than 4 cm in diameter ( 2.2 ± 0.9 )was significantly lowed than that of 31 patients with small tumors (2.7 ± 0.5 ) ( Z =- 2.057,P < 0.05 ).The score of image quality of convexity group ( n =10) and parasagittal and falcine group ( n =39 ) was 2.2 ± 0.9 and 2.6 ± 0.6,and there was no significant difference between different location group ( Z =- 0.604,P > 0.05).ConclusionsSimulation craniotomy can exactly display SCVs avoiding the influence of deep cerebral veins and skull veins. This simple technique can provide useful information about the SCVs and their relationships with cortical structures and tumors for preoperative surgical planning.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(11):-
Objective To study the protective mechanism of S-adenosylmethionine ( SAM) underlying liver injury induced by lipopolysaccharides ( LPS). Methods One hundred BABL/c mice were randomly divided into LPS group and SAM group. Mice in LPS group were intraperitoneally injected with 10 mg/kg LPS,and the mice in SAM group were injected with 100 mg/kg SAM 2 h before receiving the same dose of LPS. The survival rate of mice in 2 groups was recorded in 24,48,72 and 120 h after LPS injection. Histopathological changes in liver of mice were examined in 0,1,3,6,12 and 24 h after LPS injection. Tumor necrosis factor-? ( TNF-?) and interleukin-10 ( IL-10) levels in serum were measured by ELISA analysis at above time points. Expression of Toll-like receptor 4 ( TLR4) and liver X receptor ? ( LXR?) in hepatic tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry and Western blotting. Results SAM increased the survival rate of mice from 50. 0% ,40. 0% ,30. 0% ,and 30. 0% before LPS injection to 80. 0% ,70. 0% ,60. 0% ,and 50. 0% after its injection ( P

4.Lipopolysaccharide-induced liver injury expression Kupffer cell and protection mechanisms of S-adenosylmethionine
International Journal of Surgery 2009;36(12):846-849,封3
S-adenosylmethionine(SAM) is a physiologically active molecule in all the organizations and the human body fluids, and it is important to participate in a variety of biochemical reactions, the regulation of liver regeneration, liver cells differentiation and various sensitivity of the injury. The SAM affects the liver through a variety of ways. It is confirmed that the SAM and MTA can block the LPS-induced TNF-α of Kupffer cells to protect the liver. In a word, S-adenosylmethionine may be beneficial to LPS-induced liver in-jury in clinical treatment.
5.Research Progress in Microbiol Removal of Sulfur Dioxide
Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
SO2 is one of the main pollutants in the air. Tradational disposal methods are limited in the industrial application owing to their high cost. Some foreign scholars began to research in microbial treatment of SO2 both in laboratory test and in full-scale test in recent years and good results were achieved. This method can significantly lowering costs and acquire sulfur product and microbial biomass protein of high quality. The microbial method which is simple, effect and of low costs can satisfy needs of industry and give attention to environmental, economical and social benefits, therefore, it will have amplitude and well application prospects.

Objective To identify the frontiers and hotspots in studies on lung cancer therapy by text mining. Methods PubMed-covered papers on lung cancer therapy were retrieved from 2013 to 2014 . The terms with a broa-der meaning were excluded by mapping the UMLS concept with MetaMap and by limiting their semantic types. A LDA model was established to identify the topics. Results The LDA model could identify the frontiers and hotspots in studies on lung cancer therapy from 2013 to 2014 . Conclusion Frontiers and hotspots in studies on lung cancer therapy can be identified by analyzing the topics and reading the related literature, which can thus provide reference for related medical researchers and managers.

Objective To determine the effects of two fluid resuscitation strategies on the changes of hemodynamic variables, serum concentration of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)and interleukin-6 (IL-6)in a clinically relevant model of uncontrolled hemorrhagic shock in pregnant rabbits. Methods Hemorrhagic shock was induced by bleeding via carotied artery, followed by transection of a medium vessel in gestational sac.Experimental design consisted of three phases, shock phase(0-30 min),prehospital phase(30-90 min)and hospital phase(90-180 min).Twenty pregnant rabbits were randomly divided into two groups(n=10/group),aggressive fluid resuscitation group(PNL group)and limited volume resuscitation group(PLH group). In the shock phase, animals were hemorrhaged by blood withdrawal to mean arterial pressure(MAP)of 40-45 mm Hg(1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa)via carotid artery. In the prehospital phase,a medium vessel in the gestational sac was transected, then the animals in the PNL group and PLH group were resuscitated with 0.9% normal saline(NS)and shed blood to MAP of 80,60 mm Hg respectively. In the hospital phase, bleeding was controlled by surgical intervention and all the animals were reinfused with shed blood and NS to MAP 80 mm Hg.Hemodvnamic variables and respiration rate were monitored and blood samples were collected for TNF-α and IL-6 measurement.and finally subsequent volume resuscitation and survival rate were recorded. Results (1)At 120 min,the respiration rate and heart rate in the animals assigned to PLH group was(66±16)bpm,(235±41)bpm respectively, which were significantly lower than those in PNL group(P<0.01),while MAP and central venous pressure in the PLH group was(80.4±7.2)mm Hg,(8.0±4.4)cm H2O,respectively,which were significantly higher than those in PNL group(P<0.01);(2)The serum concentration of TNF-α,IL-6 of all the animals were markedly increased after hemorrhagic shock.and peak at 24 min.The serum concentration of TNF-α,IL-6 in animals assigned to PLH group were(105±67)ng/L,(118±51)ng/L respectively, which were significantly lower than those in PNL group(P<0.01).The serum concentration of TNF-α,IL-6 in the animals assigned to PLH group were decreased to normal at 480 min;(3)The subsequent blood transfusion volume and NS resuscitation volume in PLH group in prehospital phase were(16.0±2.2)ml,(39.0±5.5)ml respectively, while those in hospital phase were(28.0±6.7)ml,(90.0±7.1)ml respectively, which were significantly lower than those in PNL group(P<0.05);(4)The 24 and 72 hours survival rate in the animals assigned to PLH group were 100%,90% respectively;which were significantly higher than those in PNL group(P<0.01).Conclusion Limited volume resuscitation improves thermodynamic changes of pregnant rabbit, attenuates the increase of serum concentration of TNF-α,IL-6,and results in higher survival rate.Limited volume resuscitation is an ideal means for hemorrhagic shock resuscitation in pregnant rabbit.

Objective To establish the method of noninvasive measuring the new indexes of cardiac functions by echocardiography and illustrate the diagnostic values of the indexes. Methods By use of simultaneous screen display of echocardiography, phonocardiography and electrocardiography and synchronously monitoring blood pressure (BP) technique, the values of LV end-systolic and end-diastolic long and short- axis dimensions, wall thickness and area sizes, and synchronous BP were measured in the patients with myocardial infarction (MI) of defferent sites and area sizes before and during BP were altered to defferent degrees. The values of maximum elasticity (Emax) and average maximum myocardial elasticity stiffness (maxEav) and ejection blood fraction (EF) were calculated through computer programmed process. Results The order of values of Emax, maxEav and EF among MI patients of defferent sites was control group>inferior MI group>anterior MI subgroup>multi-wall MI subgroup. Their order among MI patients of defferent area sizes was control group > small area MI subgroup > larger MI subgroup. Emax was associated with the MI parts and maxEav was associated better with the MI area sizes. Conclusions The study has established a noninvasive method of examining cardiac function by use of echocardiography and reflected the special diagnostic values of Emax, maxEav and EF in MI patients of defferent parts and area sizes.
